The strangest part about that was his parents willingness to identify themselves as having spawned that joke. You'd have thought that would have been something they would have wanted to keep to themselves... James Corden is without doubt one of those people you're left scratching your head about over success with zero talent, charm or personality. Irritating is spot on.
Will Arnett... You're Bojack Horseman. You're in one of the most critically acclaimed television shows of the last five years, dealing with heavy themes in a tasteful way whilst opening up sarcastic discussion about topical issues as well as having a sense of genuine heart and soul attached to a fantastic cast of characters. So why in the living name of Christ are you in Showdogs.
Took my 4-year-old nephew to see Peter Rabbit. Luckily I was that right kind of hungover that I was emotionally and physically numb to it. Not a film I ever want to see sober.
Stand out moment in Death Wish has to be the montage where he's learning to shoot and clean his gun, after his tragic loss, and the music cuts to Back in Black by AC/DC. So tone deaf, it's actually hilarious. Also, Supertroopers 2 was great. Perhaps Mark did it wrong and watched it sober.
I totally disagree with you about Super Troopers 2. It's a dumb, fun, comedy in the same vein of comedy as Zoolander 1 & 2. (They know they're dumb and stupid) That wants nothing more from it's audience than to make them laugh a bit. I've always respected your opinions Mark, and the film lessons you've been teaching us since your intros to films in the 90's (the exorcist, Mad Max etc. I think you should do more of those!) Which I think has given me a greater appreciation of films in general. But I think there's a lot worse films out there than Super Troopers 2. Such as "Life Of The Party" Absolutely terrible. "Slender Man". And the shittest film I've seen of the year "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom". A film that has absolutely no respect for any audience member, that only cares about Political Correctness, box ticking "Equality". Insulting, and Gross. But I don't want to be all doom and gloom. A couple of the best films I've seen this year so far are "You were never really here", and "Revenge".
I haven’t seen any of Mark’s worst 10 because I listen to the show. My list would have to include the following that I wasn’t warned off from seeing: A Wrinkle In Time, I Feel Pretty and Book Club.
Super Troopers 2 was exactly what Mark said; a film that no one wanted, except for the fans of the original. Fair enough, the Good Doctor was not a fan, but I and a lot of my friends were fans of the original Super Troopers. Similar to Anchorman, we watched it just at the right time in our adolescence. And sure we expected to be let down like we were with Anchorman 2, but instead we were so relieved that we laughed all the way through and it's one of my favourites this year.
Same with Hot Wet American Summer, it was kind of the Anchorman for weird cult-y alternative people. (That's not a judgmental thing, I just mean it had a specific cult who wanted a sequel, rather than a wider fan base like Anchorman or even Super Troopers)
Oh damn, you found me out! *sigh* I genuinely found it funny, as did the two friends I watched it with, and the other people in the audience. Just because you think so, doesn't mean everyone else does.
My own worst 10 films from the first half of 2018 would be... 10. Sherlock Gnomes 9. The Hurricane Heist 8. Truth or Dare? 7. Day of the Dead: Bloodline 6. Life of the Party 5. Acts of Violence 4. The 15:17 to Paris 3. Super Troopers 2 2. Gotti 1. Show Dogs Dishonorable Mentions: Midnight Sun Book Club Bad Samaritan A Wrinkle in Time Samson Overboard Blockers Death Wish Breaking In
I was actually one of the people that crowdfunded it. Still not seen it, but the free sunglasses I got from it were very useful during the recent heatwave.
I live in Vermont, which released Super Troopers 2 on 4/20 this year. All the screenings were showed out, and most of the audience showed up in costume....At least in this little state, the original was not forgotten and remains beloved.
My worst so far: The strangers: Prey at Night, Terminal ( "More like Terminal Cancer." - Jak-Luke Sharp ), Truth or Dare and Maze Runner: The Death Cure. All got 1/10 from me. Can't wait to see Show Dogs! Must be a blast. :D
"Life of the Party" is a compilation of vaguely related scenes that could be assembled in any order and function exactly the same. There is one moment that is quite good, albeit similar to something from 22 Jump Street, however so much of the film is tedious and lacking in anything genuine or funny. Seeing LotP having watched "Game Night" from earlier in 2018 made me realise how much better a functioning screenplay aids a comedy overall.
Peter Rabbit and Show Dogs are the type of kids films that were made in the early 2000's where they ruin all the best bits in the trailers but even then that's not saying much
I have children. I have not seen either of those films because they didn't even ask to go see them. Not sure if it's because they didn't want to or because they knew there was no point asking. Either way in my experience it's never too early to start teaching kids to be discerning.
I kinda liked How to Talk To Girls At Parties. It tickled my weird funny bone just enough. I particularly liked how the third friend, thinking they were just from California, spent half of the film trying to find out what the otherworldly music was he'd been dancing to.
My top 10 worst films that I've seen so far this year: 10: Rampage 9: Red Sparrow 8: Downsizing 7: Skyscraper 6: Life of the Party 5: Mary Magdalene 4: I Feel Pretty 3: The Darkest Minds 2: The Cloverfield Paradox 1: Book Club The only film on Mark's list that I've seen is Pacific Rim: Uprising, which I did moderately enjoy. I have a feeling that Show Dogs will still be number 1 on his end of the year list.
I feel the same way. I really enjoyed it. Although the bit with Hen having dreams about being in the alien cluster and knowing the history was kind of confusing.
I caught that movie that had Margot Robbie, Simon Peggy and the Austin Powers guy in it. That was pretty bad. Incredible waste of talent. Been a pretty poor year or two for movies for me, I am not into Comic Book Superheros etc. The only Great Movies I have seen in two years are Three Billboards and Dunkirk. Only movies I have wanted to rewatch a few times.
I loved Death Wish and How to Talk to Girls at Parties. I went into Death Wish knowing nothing of the story and I succeeded to me as an over-the-top action flick. It's totally silly. And I can imagine How to Talk to Girls at Parties being a future cult classic.
Aw, I didn't mind How To Talk To Girls At Parties. It wasn't wholly successful but it was strange at least attempted something that was unlike most stuff that was out.....It certainly doesn't deserve to be in the bottom 5. :)
Top 10 Worst so far: 10. The First Purge 9. Truth or Dare 8. Death Wish 7. A Wrinkle in Time 6. Downsizing 5. 12 Strong 4. Father Figures 3. The 15:17 to Paris 2. Show Dogs 1. Book Club
"Now, in the list of things that I really dont want, an Eli Roth remake is pretty high up. But a cut Eli Roth remake of death wish - absolutely not!" So Mark doesn't want less of something of which he really doesn't want and would rather like more. Makes sense in a wierd way.
I think it's more that the only redeeming factor in Eli Roth films is their extreme gore, it evokes fond memories of the Video Nasty era and classics like Cannibal Holocaust. Remove that and they offer literally nothing.
👽 inevitable vegan future 👽 I know. It was a joke. But Roth is definitely a one trick pony. Or rather a dead horse, beaten with a stick, over and over.
I got here typing "kermode gotti" into search...but it seems he never reviewed Gotti. and it's not in this list either, but it was a 2018 release. weird
This might shock some people but for me the worst film so far was Ladybird and I normally love Saoirse Ronan's work. It was badly written, "character driven" (a fancy term increasingly used for saying no plot). The main character was just random and had no consistency. If I want to see a mother and daughter bicker I'd watch my wife and kid on a Friday night. My wife hated it more than me and described it as one of the dreariest films she'd ever seen.
The Meg will deffo be in this list at the end of year. If not, then, as mark says, we are in for a long 6 months. Also, although it hasn't been released yet, Transformers spinoff Bumble bee will be in this list too
It's funny to hear your opinion on Super Troopers 2. It's a perfect example of an establishment film critic not understanding what the audience wants. That movie has cult classic status up there with the very best of American comedy films.
that would be "the voices", starring ryan reynolds in an incredibly dark comedy...... like, disturbingly dark. then there is keanu (key and peele) which doesn't feature a cat that talks, but that cat is the central character of the film.
I'm still not entirely convinced it deserves a Worst film award but Ready Player One is still definitely the biggest letdown and the film that's annoyed me the most this year. I certainly liked elements of it but as a whole it was utterly infuriating, hollow, empty and just way too CGI heavy. It was like I was watching a nostalgic look at my childhood clouded by modern eyes and at first I wondered whether it was because I'd simply grown older but then I rewatched the 'old classics' and realised that they still had the magic that was sadly missing from this overrated film that, despite a few smiles, just left me feeling empty, hollow and as if I'd somehow missed something that had made other critics use the word 'Spielbergian Magic'
You want to know the worst part? The book it's based on is even worse with the nostalgia masturbation and has a ton of really creepy undertones. Having Spielberg direct was the only way a film version of it could be watchable.
Yeah, I haven't seen the film so can't judge it, but from what I've seen of the book I'm kinda horrified the film was ever made in the first place. It is c r e e p y as hell.
Jo R Precisely. It was just a dumb theme park Easter egg hunt that could and should have been so so much more. Just look at Edgar Wright's filmography and you'll see how films can be packed full of fun secrets, Easter eggs and hidden motifs yet also work as entertaining films in their own right. Wright was initially tagged as a potential director for RP1 and I'm sure he'd have done a much better job though maybe it was just the poor source material. Many questions but one fact remains ... it was a bit of a giant turd!
I didn't know that about Edgar Wright. Speilberg's name on a film means a lot of bums on seats, which I'm sure went a long way when choosing the direction. To be honest, this sort of film doesn't require much brain power; it was worth it just to see Mark Ryland looking like an ageing hippie.
I love the guys from broken lizard. Yeh super troopers 2 isn’t great but it was for the fans and funded by the fans. I’m still waiting to fund a sequel to beerfest...
Only Death Wish have I seen of all these. I try to avoid movies I expect to be & the critics confirm as bad if I can help it, I'd rather find something more interesting or worthwhile to watch that won't bore the pants off me like happened a couple of nights ago funnily enough when I watched the rubbish Skyscraper. Last night's choice American Animals was much more enjoyable though.
My worst so far... 1. The Cloverfield Paradox 2. Jurassic World 2 3. Insidious: The Last key 4. Skyscraper 5. Truth or Dear 6. Downsizing 7. Mute 8. Deadpool 2 9. Hereditary 10. The Meg
Jurassic World 2 tricked me. I went for Ian Malcolm and got about 3 sodding minutes. And it changed tone so drastically when it switches the !mansion. I genuinely feel the mansion stuff should have been another film rather than slotted in here where it felt like one of those satellite channel "movies" that are actually just 3 or 4 episodes of a tv show shoved together and given a title
I have a Cineworld card. Downsizing looked interesting from its trailer, right? I though i was going to love Hereditary but unfortunately i didn't. The first Deadpool was fun so naturally i saw the sequel. I heard The Meg was fun.... you get the gist.
Bannerman 1903 can't speak for OP but for me, it's my Odean card. It doesn't cost me anything extra to check out any of them and you never know when you're going to be surprised. I loved Hereditary though. It got really under my skin. Reminded me of House of The Devil, another slow moving film that people either love or hate.
I alway thought that Death Wish should star an "everyman", not an action star. Imagine someone like Toby Jones, or Martin Freeman, in the role. Someone who you wouldn't expect to patrol the streets. A man spiralling into destruction. You could make a really good study of of uncontrolled grief.
Took my daughter and her friend to see Show Dogs, my daughter REALLY didn't want to watch it. Should've listened to her and paid for them to rematch Sherlock Gnomes again. The version I saw had that infamous scene in it, luckily both girls were too bored to pay any kind of attention to it. It is one of the worst films I have ever seen and last year I took both of them to see The Jungle Bunch, which was so bad we were the only people in the cinema. Just don't watch it EVER!
It pains me to say it as I had great hopes for 'How to talk to girls at parties' (especially as it is set in my local area and had a great pedigree as you note) - but absolutely spot on. Great performances and period detail but I have to say I did not personally enjoy. Just as an aside I highly recommend a wonderful documentary 'Basically Johnny Mophed' which is about a legendary Croydon punk band
As a massive fan of period dramas (i.e. Merchant Ivory style fare), I was very excited to watch "A Quiet Passion" with Cynthia Nixon. It was literally the worst movie/boring as hell that when I was watching the "lounge parlour scene" I felt the need to run and sit in a dentist's chair rather than waste away my life in the most mind-numbingly painful, rather watch paint drying film with a character so charmless, nasty and irritating that I literally had no sympathy and was wishing her character would die painfully in the end. Fortunately, I got my wish.
I would've liked how to talk to girls at parties better if it didn't have all the bonkers aliens in shell suits acting like something out of galaxy quest at certain points not forgetting Matt Lucas looking ridiculous.
No it wasn't, it was just cut here to get a 15 rating, uncut it would've received an 18 and the film company doesn't want that out of fear of making less money. The same also happened to Red Sparrow and John Wick 2
Who makes a talking dog sidekick movie in 2018? I thought those movies went extinct at least a decade ago, and even then they were just direct-to-video fodder.
I'm usually indifferent to James Corden but oh dear God, his voice in Peter Rabbit was nauseating. Who honestly thought his arrogant, sarcastic tone would be a good fit for a beloved children's classic?
well i quite enjoyed the Death Wish remake. Super Troopers 2 was so bad it was nearly good. there was actually one line near the end which i found genuinely very funny. cant remember what it was though.
Death Wish is a sucky film. Eli Roth is just absolutely awful. I can just imagine Bruce Willis doing this. His career is just so awful. How to Talk To Girls At Parties... Oi oi, just awful. I loved Super Troopers. I just didn’t want another one. Show Dogs?! I thought, are they still making rubbish like this? That line is correct from the film. I can’t believe the cast for that film! Why? Just why?
You see 90% of the time your job is great you see brilliant films first, and probably in a cinema with no kids, and the other 10% it sucks. But on the other hand us mortals see the film titles and just go NO.
Super Troopers is a cult stoner comedy in the US. Lots of appeal to many people here. Had no desire to see a sequel, well because comedy sequels are god awful but plenty of people remember it. But again, still a reasonably small amount. Stoners who are now in their mid twenties to early 30's mostly.
To be fair, many of the films on this list are not woeful. The fact that many did not receive a wide mainstream release (Tad And The Lost Explorer, for example...) or are just lacklustre (Pacific Rim: Uprising) rather than being actually outright terrible speaks volumes about the quality of movies released so far in 2018. I thought that Life Of The Party was bad but it hasn't lingered in the mind or the stomach like truly regrettable viewing experiences do. No title on this list is as bad as, say, Gods Of Egypt or London Has Fallen. It has been a pretty underwhelming blah year for film so far, all things considered, with few films either excellent or outrageously poor.
Good list! I definitely haven't seen as many crap films as you (haven't seen any on this list). My bottom five would be... 5. Tomb Raider 4. The Avengers: Infinity War 3. Skyscraper 2. Gotti 1. Ready Player One For me, Ready Player One is such an awful film. You could probably argue that in many ways it's "better made" than a lot of other terrible films, but to me, it's just ugly, boring, annoying, and in some ways a troubling film.
I thought it was so boring and repetitive. Just feels like a load of pointless fights that don't really go anywhere. From a more big-picture point of view, I hate how the film fits in to the larger Marvel universe, where it is basically a sort of "harvesting" of all the characters and plots developed over the rest of the series (the LA Review of Books did a great write-up on this, called "Post-Shawarma", I believe).
Admit it Mark, Peter Rabbit is only not #1 on the list because you're scared Corden's parents will write in again.
I mean, Show Dogs was pretty horrific and endorsed sexual assault.
All great artists need their parents to rewrite public opinion, don't they?
The strangest part about that was his parents willingness to identify themselves as having spawned that joke. You'd have thought that would have been something they would have wanted to keep to themselves... James Corden is without doubt one of those people you're left scratching your head about over success with zero talent, charm or personality. Irritating is spot on.
@@chiplawson5491 irritating is an understatement.
Peter Rabbit was an absolute disgrace, a tasteless bastardization of the source material that lacks ANY element that makes the books timeless
The trailers for Show Dogs really confused me when I first saw them in cinemas. Looks like a straight-to-DVD film from ten years ago.
Kittenstomper even ten years ago it would've been trash, it makes Air Bud look like Goodfellas
it had some rather concerning dialogue that seemed very "pedo grooming" ish
should be avoided. especially for your children.
That clip showed in this reminds me of his “it ain’t easy being white” bit in Arrested Development. But having it last for a feature length film
Okay am I being crazy or was there a fart noise added at 0:30? Or is that just part of the movie? Either one seems equally plausible
I thought that was me.
Thought it was my dog!!
Took my 4-year-old nephew to see Peter Rabbit. Luckily I was that right kind of hungover that I was emotionally and physically numb to it. Not a film I ever want to see sober.
Why did you in the first place.
What about your poor nephew?
WTF would you supervise a 4 yr old drunk?
Having a hangover doesn't mean you're drunk...
It's part of it and incredibly irresponsible. Not something to come on RUclips trying to get thumbs up for. WTF?
Have ssome self respect.
How isn't Juno Temple in "How to Talk to Girls at Parties"? It's like the exact film she turns up in
Not white girl trashy enough for her.
Thank you Mark (and Simon) for being such frequent and welcome distractions to life's most onerous hardships.
Agreed, you either get the Super Troopers thing or you don't. I'm already crowdfunding number three, which will hopefully take place in Syria.
No it wasn't tried to watch it twice and gave up.
the Love Sosa ice cream man scene is hilarious too
@@greyspears4685 the first one was shitty enough.
Wow! That Peter Rabbit movie just seems to have completely torn the heart out of the source material. This sort of thing is never ok.
I totally disagree with you about Super Troopers 2. It's a dumb, fun, comedy in the same vein of comedy as Zoolander 1 & 2. gotta say, I laughed twice at that Supertroopers clip
I haven’t seen any of Mark’s worst 10 because I listen to the show. My list would have to include the following that I wasn’t warned off from seeing: A Wrinkle In Time, I Feel Pretty and Book Club.
A Wrinkle in Time was awful, truly, truly awful
Anything Amy Schumer has done is awful. How is she a comedian?
Death Wish DVD is already in the bargain bin in my local store.
(That's not a judgmental thing, I just mean it had a specific cult who wanted a sequel, rather than a wider fan base like Anchorman or even Super Troopers)
I agree 100% but that might not be a good thing as I would probably say the same if they made “Ow my balls!”
Any Super Troopers fan who liked the sequel is putting it on cause they don't want to admit it's unfunny, uninspired trash.
Oh damn, you found me out! *sigh* I genuinely found it funny, as did the two friends I watched it with, and the other people in the audience. Just because you think so, doesn't mean everyone else does.

I'm sorry but who forgot about super troopers 1! It's a cult classic!

I've been waiting for what seems like forever for the sequal as well!
I was actually one of the people that crowdfunded it. Still not seen it, but the free sunglasses I got from it were very useful during the recent heatwave.
I really enjoyed the first. The sequel is really really unfunny
True but let's be honest, Beer Fest is the one that shoulda got a sequel.
I live in Vermont, which released Super Troopers 2 on 4/20 this year. All the screenings were showed out, and most of the audience showed up in costume....At least in this little state, the original was not forgotten and remains beloved.

I should’ve seen it coming that Supertroopers wouldn’t be as much of a cult classic outside the US.
It’s a cult classic for US douchebros who don’t care about the art form
"Life of the Party" is a compilation of vaguely related scenes that could be assembled in any order and function exactly the same. There is one moment that is quite good, albeit similar to something from 22 Jump Street, however so much of the film is tedious and lacking in anything genuine or funny. Sad to see How to Talk to Girls at Parties on here...genuinely thought it was a great film. It was wacky and hilarious.
ScapeRuneQ Yeah, one of my favourites of the year.
Probably one that Mark will revisit when it comes on on DVD on a Kermode: Uncut
Please don't use the term wacky as a positive.
I liked it a lot, it was weird and moving
I feel the same way. I really enjoyed it. Although the bit with Hen having dreams about being in the alien cluster and knowing the history was kind of confusing.
The Cloverfield Paradox and Walk Like A Panther are definitely the two worst films I’ve seen this year

haha, check out that brief (and appropriate) farty sound in the Death Wish promo trailer. Eli Roth goes Carry On..

Quality Photoshop work on the Rabbit poster haha
Shame 'Future World' isn't released here yet. I'd like to see Mark review that.
Please put the year Mark's talking about in the title like other years!
If Patient Zero doesn't make the list for the second half of the year I will eat a massive hat covered in out of date marmite.
I love this list because its a reminder of films that I gave just a second of thought upon hearing about them and then never thought about them again.
I really liked Death Wish. I whooped and hollered when Bruce shot the “ice cream man”.
1. Duck duck goose
2. Pacific Rim
3. Red Sparrow
4. The Mercy
5. Gringo
6. Death Wish
7. Status Update
8. Rampage

Gavin Henderson I found it horrifically boring
Gavin Henderson it didn't do anything special, there was nothing that I came out and was like the mercy did that really well

It's funny to hear your opinion on Super Troopers 2.
It's a perfect example of an establishment film critic not understanding what the audience wants.
That movie has cult classic status up there with the very best of American comedy films.
Serious question - what is the best "Talking dog/cat" film? - I can't remember how this genre started
that would be "the voices", starring ryan reynolds in an incredibly dark comedy...... like, disturbingly dark.
then there is keanu (key and peele) which doesn't feature a cat that talks, but that cat is the central character of the film.
Homeward Bound is, I think, pretty good, although that could just be nostalgia talking.
😂 I will definitely watch more of Kermodes top five worst films than I will his top five best of 2018
I'm still not entirely convinced it deserves a Worst film award but Ready Player One is still definitely the biggest letdown and the film that's annoyed me the most this year.
I enjoyed it - only because I was trying to spot all the stuff that was 'borrowed' from other movies.
I don't think there exists even a theoretical possible movie worse than "talking dogs, but grooming children for molestation"
Super Troopers 4 Ever
Only Death Wish have I seen of all these. I try to avoid movies I expect to be & the critics confirm as bad if I can help it, I'd rather find something more interesting or worthwhile to watch that won't bore the pants off me like happened a couple of nights ago funnily enough when I watched the rubbish Skyscraper. Last night's choice American Animals was much more enjoyable though.
Black Panther, Extinction, Rampage, Skyscraper, Solo, Ocean's Eight, Cloverfield Paradox, Patient Zero, Tomb Raider and Mute
Sherlock Gnomes. I know I went to see it at the cinema but it's left an indelible blank in my mind.
Death Wish was ok and seemed very violent the version I saw
Super Troopers 1 was a great film, I'm glad a sequel was made
My worst so far...
1. The Cloverfield Paradox
2. Jurassic World 2
3. Insidious: The Last key
4. Skyscraper
5. Truth or Dear
6. Downsizing
7. Mute
8. Deadpool 2
9. Hereditary
10. The Meg
I actually agree with you on Hereditary. I found it so boring and tensionless!
Why are you going to the cinema to see these films? You must know in advance they are not your cup of tea?
Show Dogs's place at #1 is going to be permanent.
Show dogs won. I had a feeling It would.
Supertroopers was a big cult hit in the US Mark. Its not for you but lots of people like it
Totally agree with you on Peter Rabbit. Do not use the lord's name in vain.
Just don't watch it EVER!
wow that Show Dogs stuff is messed up
So, Peter Rabbit is the Starship Troopers of animated adaptations?
I agree with Kermode on 9/10, but How To Talk To Girls At Parties was mostly excellent.
The original Super Troopers certainly has a much larger audience than you're willing to give it credit for. Probably a generation thing.
I can't imagine any of those are worse than Walk like a panther.
I would've liked how to talk to girls at parties better if it didn't have all the bonkers aliens in shell suits acting like something out of galaxy quest at certain points not forgetting Matt Lucas looking ridiculous.
Ishmael's Ghosts, Welcome to Curiosity, Escape Plan 2, Submergence.
Is Mark Kermode issuing a Bride Wars challenge to Show Dogs?
I’m sure there’s a fart noise on Death wish 0.30 haha
I'm waiting for Peter Rabbit - Tank Killer to made into a movie....
Was Death Wish cut in america?
I just watched super troopers 2 and it was hilarious, totally worth the watch
How short do you think my memory is 😅 I just feel sorry for Pacific Rim now.
well i quite enjoyed the Death Wish remake. Super Troopers 2 was so bad it was nearly good. there was actually one line near the end which i found genuinely very funny. cant remember what it was though.
Clearly the brilliance of show dogs is lost on you 😉
Super troopers 2 was great! Mark is just not a fan of crude humour.
Nah even fans of the first didn't like it.
As a fan of the first film, I agree WVF!
Bird Box, Sandra Bullock looks like Michael Jackson
Surely instead of doing Show Dogs you could've just done a Rebooted Tequila and Bonetti?
Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom should be on here
Death Wish is a sucky film.
Damm it, how to talk to girls at parties looked good.
Mark is gonna get another letter from James Corden's dad
Why is Truth or Dare or Fifty Shades Freed not on here
My bottom 3
3. Solo a Star Wars Story
2. A wrinkle in time
1. The CLoverfield paradox
Does he live on a barge? or is just a hand held camera?
Good list! I definitely haven't seen as many crap films as you (haven't seen any on this list). My bottom five would be...
5. Tomb Raider
4. The Avengers: Infinity War
3. Skyscraper
2. Gotti
1. Ready Player One
For me, Ready Player One is such an awful film. You could probably argue that in many ways it's "better made" than a lot of other terrible films, but to me, it's just ugly, boring, annoying, and in some ways a troubling film.
How on earth do you not like Infinity War?
I thought it was so boring and repetitive. Just feels like a load of pointless fights that don't really go anywhere. From a more big-picture point of view, I hate how the film fits in to the larger Marvel universe, where it is basically a sort of "harvesting" of all the characters and plots developed over the rest of the series (the LA Review of Books did a great write-up on this, called "Post-Shawarma", I believe).
