Hi Chad! I have been enjoying watching your Bee Gees reaction videos. I have been a fan of their music since 1989, when I was 8 years old. The “One” album had just come out and my mom and I would play that cassette in the car. I was incredibly fortunate to have the chance to meet them in 1998. Their recording studio was in Miami Beach (my family and I were in FL for vacation) and they would meet people outside to talk, sign autographs and take pictures. They were all three there that particular day and I got to meet them, which absolutely made my entire life. They were so very kind, taking time with my mom and I. I sent a note by mail to them after returning home, thanking them and expressing my gratitude for their kindness and that it really meant the world to me. Robin wrote me back and even sent me a Christmas card from he and his family that year. He especially was so good to me over the years. You hear the saying “Never meet your heroes because they will just disappoint you.”, but that was certainly not the case. As beautiful as their music is, they were all even more beautiful souls. It made me love their music even more (if that is possible!) Thanks again for the great content you post!

I am at a loss, except to say Still Waters is brilliant, and I love this song. Barry's lead is so beautiful, but together with Robin and Mo, their voices are transcendent. I can listen over and over. If I had a cigarette lighter I would wave it right here. Can you stand one more reference to Arif Mardin? He did the string arrangement for "My Lover's Prayer." The guitar work is understated and just right, I hear a little bit of the same feel as in "I Could Not Love You More." They can take me away Chad. Great choice.
Otherworldly is a perfect way to describe the beautiful music of the Bee Gees.

Oh Robin!! That voice!! I literally cannot find appropriate words to describe how much I absolutely love it. There is nothing better than surrounding myself with these wonderful songs, harmonies and lyrics on a quiet day and just absorbing everything. Such geniuses that we will never see their like again!
I love this. Robin's voice had so much pathos. It reaches straight into your heart and squeezes it. The three of them together was pure heaven.

This is a great one! It just goes to show that the Bee Gees always adapted their songs to the era of their time. Always evolving, but always keep that recognizable Bee Gees sound.
They didn't adapt, they were creating. It's who they were, and they didn't follow, they did their own things,and It worked.

Chad, this is a beautiful song, but the version that Robin did with Alistair Griffin in 2003 ( a Christmas special ) is so incredibly beautiful!!! Please listen to that rendition!!! You’ll be totally blown away!!!!! I can’t begin to tell you how spiritually touching this version is!!! It just takes me to Heaven, it goes straight to my very soul!!!! 👏 👍 ❤️❤️❤️ 🌹🌹🌹

So beautiful, you just want to listen over and over, on and on. I think of laying in a hammock one afternoon with a warm breeze blowing listening to this, it was not too long after my mom died, but it was one of the songs that soothed me just by the sound.
Never heard this version, but really pretty! Always like Robin Gibb and the other young singer who sang this song after 2003. Thank you for continuing to play BeeGees.

So beautiful but sometimes I have a hard time understanding Barry when he does that falsetto. Otherwise it's beautiful with those 3 angelic voices. I did hear the version with Robin and it truly sounds like a love ballad with his beautiful voice. Great reaction Chad. It just hits you hard in your heart when these guys sing. Robin brings the full tone with the emotional impact!! Nothing light and airy about it. Goes strait to the heart and soul!!😍 OMyGosh. Could these brothers ever write gorgeous tunes!😎

I have been a Bee Gees Super fan all my life. I fortunately got to see them live at Chicago Stadium in 1979. Their entire catalog of songs is one fantastic wonder after another from their early 60's hits all the way through. I would have to say My Lover's Prayer is my favorite. The harmony is otherworldly.

I was so happy for them when this album debuted at #11 in the US after several unsuccessful albums. Polydor Records underestimated demand for this album and many retailers sold out in that first week which prevented the album from breaking the Top 10.
Try out "Bury Me Down By The River" for another gospel influenced track.

I agree that the best version of this song is done by Robin and Alistair Griffin. Their voices blend so well.
Definitely love the music from my childhood and teen years! The best music ever. Robin Gibb I remember listening to him singing Massachusetts and I started a Joke. I was very young but it stayed with me. My older cousins listened to the music while I hung out with them. It's been such a journey to go back through time and just enjoy fantastic music and just remember being so young.

i have been a fan since the beginning/ after their hugely successful disco days many people ignored their later albums.they were AMAZING!!! people should check them out. this song should have been a single and if recorded back then would have been a hit. it sounds much like their ballad music from the late 70s
