With Harry the rasp is almost always deliberate. He can belt it out. Falling, Sign of the Times, Fine Line are all good examples of it.

8:36 he was a VERY loud singer in his younger days like up until 2017/18 maybe (you should check out his carpool karaoke from back then it's really good) like this would be considered quiet compared to then lol and he always loved including that raspiness in his vocals. But after that he changed his technique and style a lot and def became a quieter singer in his second album onwards, his current technique is def better and healthier now tho imo. cuz his cords were pretty damaged from his 1d days bcuz of the nonstop 5year tour they had, even through his colds he'd just be on vocal rests from speaking to save up his voice for the performances, and adding onto it having to take up most of the high notes after zayn left over his own, but i'd say he recovered amazingly since all that and currently sounds the best he ever did.

Btw, the drummer is Sarah Jones. On this same interview with Howard Stern Harry says that's actually Sarah's band, he's just the frontman of Sarah's band, because usually the first thing people tell him after a show is how great the drummer is! 😂

One of my favourite covers of Harry's! Sarah Jones is the drummer, she's amazing. Would love to see you react more to Harry!

I'm shocked no one has pitched for you to start a Harry Styles journey yet! Hahaha
If anything, this cover should prove to you Harry and his band are the real deal! Idk how this works, but I'd suggest you watch their performance of "Kiwi" on Coachella next. They're all locked in!! It's fantastic 💜

Great reaction and love how you’re vibing along. You simply have to watch him
Cover The Chain. Phenomenal and also check out leather and lace and landslide he sang at his shows with Stevie Nicks. Incredible performances ! He hasn’t done a bad cover yet !

Harry is such a lovely guy. Always giving so much credit to the band. He's incredible too, but never takes all the credit.

Speaking of Howard Stern and Phil Collins......have you seen his interview? Hilarious, infuriating, 'it's all about Howard' show and Phil actually sings on it!
OH, Sledgehammer is so good. Harry obviously is a fan of Peter Gabriel. (so am I) Nice cover. Yeah, killin it.

Genesis......perfect, and then more perfect! Wait, wait, WAIT! You just said all those great things about Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, and Genesis and you don't have one session on any of THEM? What?

I DO!! They got blocked. plus I own most of the live dvds so it wouldn’t be much of a reaction 😂

I feel like every decent vocalist should surround themselves with grat msuicians and great sound engineers. I think Harry has done that.
Harry is fine as a singer but this rendition surprised me as it did for you.

He’s also a great musician. He’s just very self deprecating

@@ANNEMARIE.K236 Aren’t we all self deprecating? Haha. I don’t know about his musicianship. I would need to research and see. It’s hard to throw around the “great word” as there is a lot of solid musicians and very small amounts of “Great” musicians, respectively.
