Guns aren't common in UK cities. The 'naughty boys' certainly didn't have any and they're a street gang. It's not unreasonable for them to assume that the 'gentleman' was banking on his personal machismo to carry the day, rather than a submachine gun.

A scene between gangsters and gentleman. And there comes a time when something behind the gentility comes to action, the gangsters had to run away. He is gentle on the outside but behind him is something that will make every gangster surrender. And that is the gun. This is one of Guy Richie's best films. I love that.

No I'm referring to an unknown writer who sent his material to Guy Ritchie. They used his idea and claim to have "tried to contact" the guy several times and have offered him a credit on another project instead of on this film... so to me, that they tried to contact him to use it then used it anyway that they're willing to credit him on another movie is as close to an admission of guilt as it gets, in the film industry.

I'd like Ritchie to revisit his gritty London scallies beginnings as I think he does that better than anyone in the biz. His films are so English, it hurts because we've all known people like those. Brilliant director. Take it easy mate x
