I installed the same yukon duragrip in my silverado with 3.42. Its holding up well with zero noise or issues. I babied it for a while until I was able to get that break in oil changed out. It says to change out after 500 miles but i let it slip to 1500 but was taking it easy. I think most of the bad reviews on amazon come from install error.

2000s GM trucks come with G80 dude. I had LSD from factory on a 2000 single cab shorty with 5.3 4L80e trans oilcooled 4x4, until my dmbazz uncle did a dirty burnout and blew the diff. I still put a G80 and its awesome but I broke the axle and now I have to change the whole assembly🫡🤙

Yours is a mechanical lock which has tabs that lock up with speed and disengage without. Some people claim that they can break and fall apart which is why I went with the Yukon. The Yukon uses clutches to engage rather than a mechanical lock.
