Over the last year, I have purchased 3 pairs of the R-41M as entry level audio gifts for the grandkids. I do enjoy these speakers as they pack a LOT OF FUN for so little money in a very manageable size.

I bought 4 of these to use as my home theater surrounds. I mainly bought them because of the price point and am pleasantly surprised. They really sound good and work perfect for this application. I used the R-51M for my front speakers up until I upgraded to towers and they were great too.

I know this is 2 years ago, but I believe klipsch quote sensitivity at 91db, not 90db.
Aside from that, these are a bright speaker, due to the horn style tweeter, that said, they image really well even when not toed in, so you can take a little of that brightness edge off by pointing them straight into the room rather than toeing them in.
I found these, like a lot of Klipsch speakers in the more budget range, quite veiled in the midrange, particularly lower midrange. Just something that should be mentioned. Also the bass can lack punch, so you'd definitely want a sub-woofer with these speakers to complete the lower end. They are not a bad speaker, but just a couple of things to be aware so make sure you have a good return policy if trying these out as they will not be to everyones taste.

I really like these speakers. I bought a pair off Amazon for $116. I have them connected to a Yamaha RX-V385. I listen to a wide variety of music from, Mahler to Taylor Swift, and while I don't have much experience with home theater gear I think it sounds great. I tested them out watching Band of Brothers Bastogne episode on stereo mode and it sounded fantastic, even without a sub. At this point I don't know that I need a full 5.1 system but I'm planning on finishing out the 5.1 piece by piece with Klipsch.

As a hobby, I restore vintage audio equipment and bought a pair of these last year around this time. After rebuilding a Marantz 1550 last week, I thought I would try these while it was still on the bench. Amazing sound, so full for such a small unit. I liked them so much I ordered the R-51Ms to try as well. Great speaker for the price and suck full sound quality. Great review as well.

If you can spring for it, you should go the RP-500M or even RP-400M. They are a much higher quality speaker, but admittedly at a higher price. The R-51's, like the 41's, tend to be a little lacking or veiled in the mids and lack the punch on the bass. The port design on the RP series is so much better too, so you have more options in positioning them in a room :)
Not saying the R series is bad, just mentioning that if you have the funds, you'd be better off with the RP series to get that klipsch sound, but with better mids and punchier bass

Thoughts on Klipsch R-51M Bookshelf Speakers with AT-L60X-BT turntable. Versus Klipsch R-41M Bookshelf Speakers for AT-L60X-BT?
I’m afraid that are Klipsch 51m are too big! I was getting the edifier R1280DBS because of the size. It’s a Christmas gift, and she young & she is brand new to turntables, so I could always updated as she gets older. Trying to get a descent pair of speakers. Debating between with 51M and 41M. Are the klipsch’s plug and go too like the edifiers? Are they all active speakers? Thanks!

I switch from one speaker to another just for variety sake. I feel the Sony's produce just a tad more bass without a need for a subwoofer or having to get heavy handed with the bass tone controls.
