Angus is help because Kevin has enough content to make now he needed more hands, and he finally convinced angus to work with him, Luke left once Kevin started moving away from doing revivals for fun and looking at it more as a job. (Kevin himself has changed from the early days to once it became a job) I still like it and watch him and am subscribed but it did use to be better in the early days. I consider Kevin, Luke, Derek some of the OG revival guys on RUclips, before revivals took off

With all the talk about how poorly these were assembled from the factory you at least gotta admit that whoever made that rear window glass did a hell of a job with it surviving all that hammering and slamming around like it did. Also as an Australian, I'm pretty sure every single car needs to be ute'd, they're just better!
I spent a weekend to take the oxidation off of the roof and hood of a 90' Dodge truck and painted it with Appliance Enamel and then wet sanded to some 'fine' grit. About a month later I turned just right and the Sun almost burned the retinas out of my head because of the wet sanding and the 'gloss' I was able to get on just the hood. :)

I like it, very cool and unique. Some rear suspension work, fix up the bits that make it run, maybe make the bed a bit more bed like instead of compartments and you got yourself a pretty unique, one of a kind, cool car to show around.

Take a random guess on some inappropriate truck springs for the back, fix up the air-ride and tweak the mechanicals and it'll be a real TRUCK. A practical, usable TRUCK. Because we like TRUCKS. Don't worry about the crack in the side, it's just the body breaking itself in (half).
Better yet, get the air suspension working - or retrofit some modern airbags - so you can adjust based on the load in the back. Some of those longer-travel bump-stops would help, too.

I did a fake vinyl top on my first car in around 1968. The kit had adhesive vinyl strips to apply first for two fake seams. I sprayed the texture "paint" with my dad's gun. My dad made some very realistic looking trim pieces for the quarter panel edge. Unless you were a foot or two away you couldn't tell it was painted on.

Fun fact, bugs are attracted to the paint smell. I’m a professional painter and one time had to paint a sign with two part epoxy outside of a business during love bug season. So many of them landed on the sign we had to stop and wait until they were gone to repaint it.
