They really are underrated and offer some great sets that can be modded into "regular" Lego
I like that throw back to sculptor and 3d class reference only a few will remember those days. I love the fact that you are enjoying this venture my friend.
Those were all in the original set. But it was totally a throwback to my college days
Soooo gorgeous. I love the choices you made for the front facade. As for stairs, I wish Lego would make a spiral staircase element, that would really simplify the stairs conundrum. Another alternative that would work great in this building in particular is an elevator. They take less floorspace than stairs.

Amazing, it doesn’t looks like a friends set. I would change the blue door for a transparent one, but wow 🤩
I agree they didn’t have the clear one when the set came out, only the blue ones but I would totally change it now

Wow this looks really good ! The interior needs a lot of work tho. It's not bad except the floor looks like a meteor went through lol.
Thanks, I honestly stopped caring about the inside and didn’t want to waste more parts than the two sets came with. I might revisit in the future.

Lovely MOC, loved the video up until you said nobody likes minidolls. I have to say minidolls are the reason I came back to lego as an adult. I find them to be more relatable than the blocky minifigures. I understand most prefer them, no problem with that. But to say NOBODY likes minidolls, was too much for me.

I have nothing against people who like mini dolls. It’s just me being silly. Anything that brings people joy and keeps them creative is all good to me

How many extra pieces that you have to buy and where are the instructions for it?
The extra pieces are mostly windows and regular bricks to build out the sides.
One stupid Question ;D Do you have use White Bricks from your own Collection or PaB Wall or only the Masonry Tan Bricks?
A little bit of both. I get bricks that will work for a bunch of different Mocs and buildings
I've been wanting 2 of these for the same type of project but when I find them on sale the shelf is empty and I dont really wanna pay full retail. As for a similar set you can moc... the friends theater set works perfect with the Muppets minifig series 😁
I've been recently seeing them on shelves, I think this will be retiring soon so you should totally jump on it.
I have one theater but haven't built it yet... I might need to get another one of those.

Sorry, no instructions for this one, I mostly free build. No idea how I would even keep track of those instructions.

Hate that Lego stops making sets. For someone that would like to get into modular buildings but would be starting late, it would (and does) turn them off from even starting because you would have to pay double or more for earlier sets on Amazon or something.... Which causes Lego to lose sales for newer modular buildings.
Yes I think the same.. I was a huge lego fan as a kid, my parents never had money to buy something new... I still have been super happy with my imagination and a few old bricks.
1 year ago I got back to lego... Now in my 40s...😂...with some money... But still not willing to pay a fortune. It's so sad.
I hear you And I wish they didn’t retire as often. They are a business and need new products on the shelves but their are too many quality releases and the turn around time is too short
Best bet is look around in your clearance isle I got a few of these for 22 each
imagine, what you can do with four copies. I was hoping to do same with Ninjago city first edition.
That would almost seem excessive 😜 and man Ninjago city sets are so big and expensive already, I couldn’t even picture doubling them. But now you have me thinking 🤔

Bugger!...it is no longer available, unless you wanna pay 3 times the price...and I will not do that, an extra 20% fair enough, no problem someone making a drink out of it, but an extra 200% no chance, I aint paying some blokes mortgage for Lego.
I know I hate that. I know friends sets are sometimes easier to find used and on the second hand market but lately they’ve been so good they are fetching high prices

Isn't that called a MOD not a MOC? I mean if you just added to a set, wouldn't that be called a MOD, sorry I just feel like that's a MOD, but hey it's your video.
This one was more of inspired by the original set than a totally new build. But I changes a TON from what the original looked like. Thanks for the feedback
