He said if we don't, they will measure our gauze, and say its an inch to long or too short to dq us to save their prize fighter. Even if they stretch from the match they will dq us. Coach V - Practical, sensible advice. So important to be properly warmed up going into the ring. Even some of the best have gotten caught cold in the first round. I’m probably your oldest subscriber. Can remember seeing Emile Griffith getting blasted out by Rubin Carter in the opening round. Keep up the good work. Always enjoy your videos.
Thanks Coach, I personally had a similar experience but with no KO, but I got the best of a kid(20yr old ) that has been boxing since he was 15, I'm 34, just started boxing this year and I overwhelmed him and busted his nose twice already, he hasn't been back for over a month, my coach clowns me that I retired him, makes me feel bad but better him than me right lol 🥊
Peace..Back in 2015 my first two fights were 1st round knockouts. I thought that's how all my fights were gonna go, but when I got to my third fight, my opponent got past the 1st round round. I went to my corner shocked as a mf, Lol. I looked at my coach like "Yo! wtf, this mf still there!" ..my eyes wide as a mf and dam near panicking, Lmao. I was so used to the 1st round k.o. (yes, even with just 2 of them). Nonetheless I won that fight. And went on to win my next 3 fights. Lost the Golden Glove Regional Novice championship match though. But won my next 2 after that. Started off a little late in the game (1st fight at 30 y/o), and Im a little older so now I pretty much just do it to stay sharp, and I am still sharp. Coaches at different gyms tell me I should definitely take another fight. Whenever I spar I always start feeling really sick like I can’t move or I’m about to throw up I have tried 2 different mouth guards and cut one short... do u think I should cut the mouth guard shorter and try that or is there a different way??
@@rubydascary1208 thanks I didn’t think of that ! It’s annoying coz I can train in it then when I feel like imma gag I jus take some deep breath’s and it’s fine but it’s hard to do that in sparing when your punching and getting punched lol

Go to the dentist and they’ll be able to scan your mouth to fit the perfect mouth guard for you so it doesn’t trigger the gag reflex

Yes I would definitely get a professional mouthpiece from the dentist and have him make any adjustments after you try it out!
