    Hell yeah. Coach will give me a quick combo shout and I will execute it instantly right. What's impressive and hilarious, is that this other dude can hear everything and as long as I do what coach says instantly I land blows. Surprises me every time, lol. But then I get hit in the face bc i wasted milliseconds being surprised.

    If you give people advice in sparring the other guy can hear the advice too. For example if lm sparring a guy and l hear you tell the guy to work the jab l will stop him from working the jab by slipping, catching it, blocking it with a high guard etc...
    Plus, you can't really learn or practice new techniques in sparring so its smarter to tell them after sparring. What you really should do is tell them to work on what you noticed in their daily training, you can really only learn something if you practice it in shadowboxing, bags, pads, shadowboxing, sparring is the final stage of a boxers training...you can't listen to instructions and do what the coach is telling you if you are under pressure and if you also have not drilled and practised it through other training modalities that are not sparring things such as technical sparring

    • @coachv3436
      @coachv3436  3 года назад +5

      Check this out Bud we have codes so when I was giving the description I was making it transparent to the viewers so when I'm dealing with my fighters directly the opponent isn't going to know what I'm saying. Number two You saying that you cannot learn new techniques in sparring is ridiculous. When you are in the ring you also have natural instincts combined with your training sometimes you will do new things and learn new moves that you never even thought that may or may not be based on your coaches instructions, either way you learn "more" in sparring than any Shadow boxing mitt work or any kind of floor work my friend. One last thing there is no final stage in training, training is an endless evolution in the pursuit of constant elevation!

    • @budcrawford7646
      @budcrawford7646 3 года назад +1

      @@coachv3436 whats the progression of sparring?? After sparring its fighting therefore sparring is the final stage of a boxers training. If you learn way more in sparring than shadowboxing, bags, technical sparring then thered be no need to train, boxers would just spar everyday and do nothing else. The first level is the drill level, then you have shadowboxing and shadow sparring then you have things like mitts and bags,and technical sparring then actual sparring, then actual fighting...you don't have to do each of these things everyday but you have to at least do some of them before you are able to take instructions and implement them in live sparring.
      Sparring is the final stage because it is literally the closest thing to actual boxing match...how does that not make any sense? Yes training is a constant evolution but improvements from training come from drilling things....youre a coach but you don't really understand or appreciate the entire process of training, you're more of an emotional rather than logical person. What lm saying is simply more factual than anything you've said, you are merely asserting things...l actually used the word drilling referring to the actual process of training that results in someone bieng able to improve enough to then be able to take instructions in sparring...simply, if you have never shadowboxed, or done pads, bag Work, or technical sparring then you shouldn't be sparring let alone be able to take instructions in sparring. You might tell a fighter to throw a left hook to the body...but if the fighter does not drill that punch everyday in training then they may not be able to do it under pressure in sparring thats all lm saying.
      I put my money on the guy that trains more and trains harder and covers all the necessary things in training before sparring
      I wouldn't put my money on a guy who loves to spar but hates to train and do drills

      See you're the type of person that likes to debate small details, quite a feminine character flaw. Since you are so knowledgeable where is your channel? where is your gym? and what is your experience I would love to see some transparency seeing that you have no subscribers or videos online. Also considering you are using the name of an active professional fire do who I have actually interacted with personally dismissed any chance of me taking you serious. Going on someone else's page acting like you're an expert is 100% and absolutely emotionally based reaction trying to critique someone who has much more knowledge and experience than yourself. Also my downloadable content coming soon for people that want to learn not to debate but I have coached over 300 fight corners myself "and countin" with a very high win ratio and have thrown several sold out boxing events. I'm really not sure what you're trying to accomplish here bud but I wish you the best.

    • @budcrawford7646
      @budcrawford7646 3 года назад +1

      @@coachv3436 what feminine qualities have l shown, lol aren't people free to comment on your content? That statement you said is dum. I don't need to have a channel or run a gym to say what l think. Simply because you run a gym it does not mean you know boxing there are many gyms that are run by people who have never even fought before or people who give dum advice to their fighters...so that statement you said was dum too...what does the name of my channel even matter?? That was dum too. You are emotional more than anything else, its painfully obvious. I did not merely assert things the way you did l actually gave the explanation behind what l said...its that simple.
      My thing is that you don't understand or fully appreciate the science of training, who cares if you've coached a million fighters...what fighter have you trained from scratch that has gone on to compete at world level? Its most likely you've trained and cornered people that where already training or had already fought therefore half or less of the work was already done for you...youre knowledge is average at best I'm not an expert and neither are you. If you had half of the expertise you think you have then you would have used it to make yourself successful in boxing...but thats not the case is it

      Lol stfu you obviously never boxed . Go train fitness boxing it’s okay it’s great for your physique , leave the real fighting to the rest of us.
      And yes you can learn in sparring because you see what works and doesn’t . You are stuck at the theorist level, we are doers and trying to improve daily.

    Coach V, great advice! I have a question tho: what if a young unknown Muhammad Ali walks into your gym and keeps the hands low all the time? Would you make him hold his hands up or seeing it works for him you would let him do it? I am not Muhammad Ali but I prefer having my hands low when out of range for countering purposes.
