Boxing is a psychological hack to beat anxiety and depression. I am not saying it will eliminate it. But if you are a 8/10 anxious or feeling down on a bad day, post training you will definitely be 5/10 or below most likely. Things that bothered you and made you worrisome will start to fade away. I can't explain in words, but I hope who ever is out there, takes the step and goes to a boxing gym near them. Don't over think it, just go and get weird if need be. But just go, please. It has changed my life mentally.

I just started boxing about a month ago, I became addicted instantly. The endurance, the high, the sweat behind the cardio, its a rush and sometimes I really be training for 2-3 hours at a time. I loved it so much that I became a kickboxing instructor. With the Mental Health aspect of it all, yes this is a wonderful outlet - especially for build up anger, or like you said patience on edge. I grew up going to anger management and never once did hey implement this, which would be the best category for self-esteem and mental health. Also, the last thing I wanna throw in here is that as a LADY, this brings another form of self-respect, self-improvement, self-confidence to the gates. I don't think I will ever be able to put my gloves down.

I’ve been training for about 2 weeks and I already feel 10x better than before i was diabetic and I feel like I have beaten it also i was fighting with depression and i feel like I don’t even need to take meds although I’ll still take them but it’s just how boxing training makes me feel my confidence boosted up as well, I can breathe deeper and feel a whole lot stronger, I just wish I would have never left the sport when I was younger to compete but at least it will benefit my mental and physical health in a good way just training.

I'm a man who likes to scream when gets hype and like making significant others laugh, but when the opposite happens, I can't... I can't express my negative emotions through scream or a destructive/unproductive bevahior. So I realise that as the man I want to be I want to stay quiet, don't talk, don't react, but *"act"* through boxing with... technique.
I'm getting back to boxing, so I know that I'll have to take about the technique and after that I'll then express my emotions while applying the technique.

The only problem on my end is that my pops won’t let me anywhere near a gym because he thinks I’ll get hurt despite people going to Boxing/MMA gyms for fitness and discipline(pretty much what you said in the video). I’ve tried but can’t reason with him despite being a grown person myself. I suppose the best thing I could do is purchase a punching bag along with hand wraps and gloves to help vent out my frustration as of late. After all I am looking for an outlet for my anxiety/stress instead of fighting to be an amateur or pro.

I also been dealing with anxiety ever since i quit weed 6 weeks ago started getting paranoid when i smoked thats the reason i quit lol. @Vincent Morrison i did spar like 2 times and it was my opponent going easy on me as well. I was freaked out but i still manned up and did it. The problem usually is the coach wanted to just throw me to spar some already super experienced dude and that wouldve just made me get beat to a pulp. I dont know why he thought that was a good idea but i told him i wasnt gonna spar that guy.
