Vauxhall Corsa Coolant pump has failed within 1 year, replacing it again!

On our 2010 petrol Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 we replaced the water pump less than a year ago, videos are at:

Well this time the coolant pump I fitted had a bad failure, the bearing failed so the car was losing water and the accessory belt was wobbling around.
Take a look at the video on how I resolved it by fitting yet another water pump, this time NOT from ebay so it cost around £70 but this part hopefully will last properly.

I brought a non gen one for mine and 10k later it was leaking the Genuine Vauxhall one lasted longer but still not what you would expect

Yes seems a common story that, the original was good for almost 100k miles!

These water pumps are terrible. Iv replace the one on my mates 1.4 Astra 4 times in 6 years. 2 EBay special’s and 2 from Vauxhall

Good to know it's not just me! The original pump on it did manage 100k miles but yes seems the replacements aren't very good!
