Paddy. Thanks again for this video and the others on your extensive channel. Based on your previous endorsement of heinnie haynes, I purchased the Slipstream rather than the Penfold. I nice modern, titanium pocket knife for my usage. Thanks again
Hello Paddy. A great little edc carry. You have come a long way since it was Gearbest giving you a £5 knife or a Ganzo. I often still go back and watch the early videos. I enjoy them seeing them all, cheap knives, expensive knives. Well known or new brands. To be honest i do miss the early days a bit and would like to see more often a budget kife that i could possibly buy myself but i totally understand why your tastes have changed with the growth of the channel. this is not a rant just my view. All the best mate.
I like it Paddy, a well built flat titanium handle is actually a joy to use. This is something I wouldn't call a "penknife", but I see where they were going with it.... A Mid-Size modern worker with a big hunk of S35VN, solid Titanium frame & some old school traditional overtones. They hit the mark here - Cool Knife!!! It could be made for sharpening pterodactyl quills, ala a "penknife"?😂 YTB🍀😊👍
Very well done video. Appreciate your opinion on the knife. Titanium can be slippery especially when cold and/or wet. There is nothing to stop your hand from sliding up on the blade that I see. Have a wonderful rest of the day.
A stunning modern traditional. Simple classy functional elegance. I like knives with a back spring and traditional pivot. In a hundred years few of the ball bearings will work, but this will. What's your opinion of a clip on a knife like this Paddy? I'd be very interested to know. Thanks. 👍
You like it, Al likes it, maybe I’m missing something? I think it’s just dull looking. Like the Slipstream, great value for money, but missing something for me.
I like it Paddy, All the right elements and simple to me is elegant. I thought right off that it should go after the Gent, The Chris Reeve gets it's props but it is among equals now-a-days.... Thank you Chris for s35vn.
Nice knife paddy don't usually like the modern ones but that's nice , never did get my benchmade clone from Ali express tried a couple of times but never turned up ☹️ ,keep safe ✋
Looks like a great knife! Still waiting on the Giant Mouse Grand to be in stores again, but will have to get this one too. Hope it won’t be sold out too soon.. Thanks for the heads-up!
You picked the right traditional for comparison. Simply no contest. One of the two is an object of beauty which looks like it's been made by craftsmen. To put it another way Paddy, which would upset you more if you lost it and couldn't get another? As a modern folder comparison, I'd suggest the Real Steel Luna, another small but capable well-made titanium-handled slipjoint - rather more poetry in the looks though! But it's about personal taste of course, and I can see this Penfold with its somewhat geometric looks appealing to a different aesthetic.
Thanks for the video Paddy, still can’t make my mind up in this one, it’s not a bad looking knife, just not sure if it’s for me. I did just get the Luna in titanium though, so that’ll keep me busy for now. 😄
Hello from the USA. You and I think alike in comparing this with the small inkosi and its ability take hard use. My insingo blade version sure has. I am curious though, after almost a year now since your review, have you found the penfold to hold up well to hard use? I have had mine now for a few weeks and I am fairy sure it can, it feels every bit as tanky as the Chris Reeve, but only time will tell. I have been quite impressed by it so far.
It definitely looks like a knife that's made to work and last a long time doing it, I also prefer a decent backspring over the ball detent slip joints, I haven't got one ball detent that I really like and I have a few. The toughest modern slip joint I have is the Two Sun TS90 and the TS187. Any idea who makes this the Heinnie?
A really nice knife, but the logo on the titanium it's a total turn off, if it wasn't for that I would really consider buying. Great vid as always my friend. Would just watch to hear that "my little potatoe chips" 😁🤣😊👏👍
I've got one and I'll be keeping it, for all the reasons mentioned in this review. A couple of niggles... Personally I'd rather it came with a slip case rather than the plastic presentation box. The edges of the milled H logo and the back of the blade are quite sharp and could rub away at your fingers with extended use. Other reviewers have mentioned that it doesn't have a well defined half-stop. In that respect it handles like a beefy, single-bladed Swiss Army knife.
I'd agree with the slip case. All of my presentation boxes wind up in a box themselves. But it's tough as a marketing person - at the price point people expect a little something extra. This looks more impressive under the counter at the store than a leather cover. I was concerned about the hard edges, so it looks like that _would_ be a problem if you're doing more than cutting fruit or opening boxes.
I like the industrial look, it's a clean, slim design that recalls the classic spearpoint. I'm also ok with the H logo, considering it's an exclusive piece why not advertise. The lanyard hole is a surprise, and TBH kind of handy for a clipless design. The stainless blade should win over those who aren't keen on the high carbon most slippies traditionally have. It's a competitive category and price point, but I think it's going to find quite a few fans.
An excellent review. I think it's your best. Informative and enjoyable. All the best.
That’s a beautiful modern traditional knife!! Very nice for you to show us!! Thank you!
Great looking little pen knife!! Thanks for sharing Paddy!!!
Wow! The fit and finish on that is unparalleled!! It's a beauty of a knife!

An exceptionally simple and beautiful knife I always love when companies do everything just right in a knife design great review as always 👍
Great looking knife - right up my alley! Thanks for showing 👍👍
That is a well made knife. The perfect accoutrement to any gentlemen's EDC.
Looks amazing. Perfect for a uk edc. Need to get one soon. Thanks paddy
Nice comparison with the Chris Reeve, didn't think to compare them myself. It's definitely quality materials, just depends on your tastes!
A quality well made piece. It goes beyond its expectations with purpose. It’s a keeper. 👍👌
I was just looking at this on the website. Cheers for the review it actually helped.
Sweet knife buddy I’m totally loving the simplicity and quality buddy. Take care.

What is the red traditional knife please? Love the look of it and I'm a sucker for red jigged bone !!

Like it but i want a pocket clip!
Another cracking video and review, just wish HH would send me one for free...!
BE-AU-TI-FULL 😍
Good looking knife. The big milled logo placement really bothers me though. I wish they hadn't done that and kept it a plane knife.
Kind of a spey and drop point mix.
