Great video as always, nice to see a knife review. I was considering a Slipstream but went for the Lionsteel Best Man when I made my last purchase from HH back in June. May be time for a new addition to the collection having watched your review.

Very nice but they don't seem to have it anymore? That's a shame...

The pattern is the Lanny’s Clip, designed by Tony Bose about 20 years ago. Case did a lovely version in amber peach seed bone in 2012, but obviously pinned. This is a modern take. I haven’t bought this one but I do have an excellent, if rather expensive version by Chinese maker J E Made and recently reviewed a cheaper version by ATS. There are also very similar blades on the Fox Libre and Lion Steel Bestman. The Peña (pronounced ‘Pen’ as in biro, ‘ya’ as in yahoo) make my JE Made look like a bargain! Overall, it’s a classic and the HH version is excellent for the price, but just feels a bit crude compared to the perfection of the JEM. Great video! Pop by and see mine on the Fox, JEM and two of the Bestmans (or should that e Bestman?).

Have you tried the Spyderco Urban? Slightly scaled-down UKPK, a little bit heavier with a stouter blade. My favourite UK EDC.

If your hobby is wood working, can you carry a 3/8 x 6 inch chisel?

They could have made it with a bit more length before the cutting edge, (to get your finger round) as Case do, I can't agree with your comment that there is no chance of it closing on you. You can get some very nice SAKs for much less.

Are you actually allowed to carry these knives in the UK? What would happen if you were stopped by the police and had it in your pocket ?

I tought UK legal meant: max 2 inches blade, non lockable, no one hand opening?!? Can you EDC such a blade or do you need to have a reason to carry it?
    Thanks,

UK legal is blade length less than 3 inches, non locking, that is a UK legal knife to the word of the law, but, given the current anti knife climate in the UK, I would still be careful when I carry and where I use a knife like that, a lot of knife related decisions are at the discretion of your local Bobby, some are fine, some won't tolerate anything!

@@JonnyEnglishBOTL we have all been fucking neutered as men in the UK . How did we let this happen . We should all have knives and guns by right and not have to jump through all these hoops.

If I was in the market for a well made slip joint, this would definately be a contender. It's beautifully made with excellent materials. However, I don't trust slipjoints as even the strongest can, under some circumstances, slam shut on your fingers. I have a decent scar to prove it. If a 'gentleman's folder' is the priority, there are a number of small, discreet, sheeple-freindly lockers that are much safer for the user.

Check out the A. M Xavier knives on his website, I'm sure you would really appreciate the handmade quality this guy puts into them. I like your reviews, good honest opinions on good brands 👍👍
