Hi Bill an excellent video but I believe you should acknowledge the original photographer of several of the early photos from 1928. Charlie Watt was an employee of COR when he took the photo of the Arthur Waite Austin 7 and several others you have included.

Finding who took photos almost 100 years ago is almost impossible. As a photographer myself I always try really hard to give credit where it is due, but some are untraceable... until you upload them. THEN people sometimes put names to the cameraman, but by then - it's too late. The alternative in those cases is to not use them, but then no-one gets to see them as the unique enrichment of our history they unquestionably are.

Awesome video Bill, but sorry, the first Australian GP was held at Goulbourn. It was named and advertised as such at the time and occured not long after the first Australian Motorcycle GP, also held at Goulbourn. Had the PI event been called a GP at the time you might have a point to press, but that simply wasn't the case.

No my friend - YOU are incorrect. As I said at the start of this video that event at Goulburn 1) was on the grass horse racing track 2) Was not one major race but a series of short sprints 3) Is not recognized by Motorsports Australia as a GP, whereas the Phillip Island race HAS been officially declared Australia's first Gp retrospectively by MA.

I reckon it was better pre-covid. It hasn't pick up to the extent it was back then. There were more cars on display and more people around

@@BillsBuildandRace yeah I saw you in the big shed but you were buy talking to people.
pre-covid there were heaps more people and that section Infront the shed was lined with display cars on both sides, Sunday it only had a few. And the Shannon's walk was far better quality with more cars and there were more company displays.
