  • Very few people know of the roots of Australian speedway on oval dirt tracks, but entrepreneur, race car builder and accomplished racer Jon Crooke has uncovered the foundations of our sport, in a suburb of Melbourne called Aspendale!
    Join Speedway historian Dennis Newlyn, as he meets the Great Grandson of the founder of Aspendale Speedway, as well as a couple of well known Victorian Speedway identities, Brett and Ray "Nippa" Lacey!

    Interesting video.
    What role did Peter Brock's great, great uncle Harry James play?
    According to other accounts he organised the races at Aspendale.

    I was named after Tracey's speedway I'm now 62 didn't matter what gender when I was born I was going to be named Tracey if you have anymore pictures and videos put them on line
