If I can give it up, anyone can. The first month was tough; and I had to reevaluate many friendships. Now, I don't miss it. My mind is sharper and I can breath much better. I've been driving for 20 years. I think it's stupid, I can get s***-faced drunk, hungover the next day. I can go get in that truck and drive as long as my blood alcohol level is under 02 or 04 I can't remember which one. But I can't go home Friday night take a couple hits of weed and then come to work Monday it's f****** stupid.

You’re 100% correct about all this. I failed a test when I first started CDL school and it went on my clearing house record. I had to go through the SAP program and it took about 2 months to produce a clean test and begin my RTD process. I even paid for my own separate lab tests every month just to make sure I didn’t fail the official clearing house test. I’ve now successfully completed and have a great CDL job. I can verify that the haters are wrong…marijuana can stay in your system way longer than you might expect, and I’m even in decent shape. The more fat you have or the longer you have smoked, the longer it will take to get clean. Hair follicle tests can easily take 6 months or longer to pass.

Bit of an exaggeration. There's a lot of trucking companies that hair test, so theres a lot of drivers that can't smoke at all. Theres a good number of drivers though that got ways around passing their randoms (dispatchers, or running under their own authority) but yeah man... You're not going to find a large amount of class A drivers that are willing to risk it

In those 7 years with his B he said outside of the preemployment tests, he had only been tested 2 times. Once when he hit something and another because the company was changing insurances. He had his class A for 3 months and has been tested 3 times randomly already 😂
Got my own CDL myself, no school then got my own authority and started running. I smoke and drink everyday, company drivers can’t do that. It’s being responsible with it. Don’t smoke or drink while driving and when you stop for the night. Light up. Easy as that.
You’re still subject to a random tho through FMCSA like you have to enroll to be in compliance with DOT even as a owner operator you still taking a chance
Yup still have to register with the fmcsa for either pre Employment and random. If your a new owners operator as well during your first year you’ll do a safety audit with DOT and they’ll ask for that documentation as well bad if you don’t have that , you join with a consortium who will mandate those rules. Just chill on the weed homie. Smoke a few jays Take a month and some change off when you have down time and don’t risk the good money for some tree. Not worth it.

You can smoke weed and drive. I have been ever since school. Piss test use quick fix. Mouth swabs use mouthwash detection is 12 to 24 hours. Hydrogen peroxide at low low levels as a mouth wash works too. Same goes with hair or buy the shampoo. Driving a truck and smoking after hours stops you from going insain missing your family. A big deal of truckers deal with anxiety seeing accidents people killed. Being away from family friends isolated. Only interaction you have is with other truck drivers who hate there job or rude ass people. Most commit suicide over the road. Weed should be considered as alcohol.

just got a job offer in college. Don't have to drive heavy equipment, but my employer said they will per-employment test. I have been smoking every day for years, been happy and successful. Now I gotta stop smoking for an office job. Not fair because people that drink can't get tested and it's pretty much on the same level. It is what it is though; I am quitting weed for my career today.
Please 🙄, I have my class A license and I be smoking over 20 years and have a CDL still current till this day but I'm retired driving big rigs or commercial, I bypass that drug test because I know how too and I still hold have a clean driving record....
Wanna know some crazy shit. I do rideshare. I took a break from trucking. So I picked up a team that had their own authority, they get in my car smelling loud af. I was like "damn, y'all get around the drug testing?" and they said they did. I picked up another driver and dude was partying hard af! Dropped him off at the strip club. He was hitting up his weed man while in the car. He was smoking weed, doing coke, and drinking all night. I picked him up twice in one night. He told me his dispatcher tells him in advance when he's getting randomed so he can get some quick fix and pass his drug tests. I hardly ever got drug tested, but whenever I did it was when I hit a blunt, or took some THC gummies. Lol, that shit seems like a game of Russian Roulette.

Fake pee would work.. look into it bro.. you guys would be surprise about how many driver on that road smoke bud. Hell I smoke all the time . But I’m caution when I’m behind the wheel. Update: in Canada you can you just can't show up to work looking high or smelling like it. Also they have road side saliva test that law enforcement uses to tell if you smoked during or before your shift. It's legal and a totally different playground, nothing like the US

Keep a bottle of synthetic urine on you at all times put in a backpack or something and it's only like $20 at most smoke Shacks or tobacco novelty stores and 2. Never work for a company that does hair follicle drug test because even if you're clean now you can get a positive for what you used to do in your past me personally I just would never work for a company or employer that judges me every employment stage not on my present person but my past do that and you will be good I have been for years Intermodal working the ports for over 15 years don't listen to this guy be your own person don't let the system control and think for you

The only reason why they’re not allowing weed is because you cannot determine the time when someone has smoked it so it’s just not allowed across the board. You can get into an accident for example, and then you go to piss test for the DOT they don’t know if you smoked in a month before or what
Even drinking alcohol is much stricter for CDL holder even if you'd DRiving your personal vehichle if you're over the limit of point .04 is what CDL holders legal limit is you will lose your license

I’m creating a health and wellness proposal to present to a Large trucking company to offer healthy movement and stretching options and exercises that drivers can do on the road, in the back of the truck, etc. Short workouts, 5-10 minutes long. Do you believe there’s benefit to this? Is this something that you would appreciate a trucking company offering you?
I remember one time when I was hiring on with my company at orientation a dude asked like 12 other people what temperature does pee need to be and he got caught trying to warm up his pee in the local microwave lol
I got hair and pis tested at Tampa truck driving school most dot tests in Florida require both Im testing out on Friday and they testing me again when I get to my job just let it go. Doing the methods with the shampoo is just to much work and stress.
hair folical isnt recognized by the dot... there for if you fail a hair folice they cant report it to dot and it cannot and will not go on your dac record.. thats why they do hair along side of piss test.. hair is for the company itself piss test if for dot!
🧢 Most companies that’s doing hair follicle test, only test back 3 months. You don’t have to wait 6-12 months. If you’re 3months clean, you’ll pass a hair follicle or Urine test..

To help with my ptsd going with a really good fake piss kit keeps me driving

You’re still subject to a random tho through FMCSA like you have to enroll to be in compliance with DOT even as a owner operator you still taking a chance
Yup still have to register with the fmcsa for either pre Employment and random. If your a new owners operator as well during your first year you’ll do a safety audit with DOT and they’ll ask for that documentation as well bad if you don’t have that , you join with a consortium who will mandate those rules. Just chill on the weed homie. Smoke a few jays Take a month and some change off when you have down time and don’t risk the good money for some tree. Not worth it.

Sadly there's many drivers out there that smoke weed even while driving the truck, including some I know personally. People ain't gonna listen tho. They gotta find out the hard way. Let me fucc up
You can smoke weed and drive. I have been ever since school. Piss test use quick fix. Mouth swabs use mouthwash detection is 12 to 24 hours. Hydrogen peroxide at low low levels as a mouth wash works too. Same goes with hair or buy the shampoo. Driving a truck and smoking after hours stops you from going insain missing your family. A big deal of truckers deal with anxiety seeing accidents people killed. Being away from family friends isolated. Only interaction you have is with other truck drivers who hate there job or rude ass people. Most commit suicide over the road. Weed should be considered as alcohol.

just got a job offer in college. Don't have to drive heavy equipment, but my employer said they will per-employment test. I have been smoking every day for years, been happy and successful. Now I gotta stop smoking for an office job. Not fair because people that drink can't get tested and it's pretty much on the same level. It is what it is though; I am quitting weed for my career today.

Wanna know some crazy shit. I do rideshare. I took a break from trucking. So I picked up a team that had their own authority, they get in my car smelling loud af. I was like "damn, y'all get around the drug testing?" and they said they did. I picked up another driver and dude was partying hard af! Dropped him off at the strip club. He was hitting up his weed man while in the car. He was smoking weed, doing coke, and drinking all night. I picked him up twice in one night. He told me his dispatcher tells him in advance when he's getting randomed so he can get some quick fix and pass his drug tests. I hardly ever got drug tested, but whenever I did it was when I hit a blunt, or took some THC gummies. Lol, that shit seems like a game of Russian Roulette.
I smoked weed for 16 years as a class A driver. Never had an accident never failed a piss test. You can smoke weed and be a truck driver.
Trucking is trash rn , I’m getting out of the industry and pursuing a career in the electrical field as a lineman. I suggest you all do the same. Don’t limit yourself to just driving a truck. At this rate who knows we might not even have jobs in the future with these autonomous trucks.

Simply find you a company that doesn’t do hair follicles.. fake pee or someone else’s clean pee would work.. however if you decide to use to some else real pee it can go bad after a couple days . Let’s say your on the greyhound headed to orientation but the trip is like 2 days it won’t work. Fake pee would work.. look into it bro.. you guys would be surprise about how many driver on that road smoke bud. Hell I smoke all the time . But I’m caution when I’m behind the wheel. Update: in Canada you can you just can't show up to work looking high or smelling like it. Also they have road side saliva test that law enforcement uses to tell if you smoked during or before your shift. It's legal and a totally different playground, nothing like the US

Keep a bottle of synthetic urine on you at all times put in a backpack or something and it's only like $20 at most smoke Shacks or tobacco novelty stores and 2. Do you believe there’s benefit to this? Is this something that you would appreciate a trucking company offering you?

I got hair and pis tested at Tampa truck driving school most dot tests in Florida require both Im testing out on Friday and they testing me again when I get to my job just let it go. Doing the methods with the shampoo is just to much work and stress.
