    • Icelandair 767-300 Coc...
After the tremendous reception of our last film on the 757-200 to the USA we're delighted to return to Keflavik for our 3rd Icelandair film! This time we feature the newest addition to the airline's fleet, the Boeing 767-300. Several of the routes have outgrown the size of the Boeing 757 so the airline needed larger equipment, 4 Boeing 767 are joining the fleet to serve the busiest European routes in the morning and busiest North American routes in the evening. Having just filmed the routes to the USA we decided to feature 2 of the most important European routes : Heathrow and Schiphol.
As always Just Planes has been tremendously well received in Iceland and our new program features some great pilots who present the aircraft in details as well as all the parts of our flights. In addition everying should enjoy Icelandair 20 year veteran pilot Captain Ingvar who adds a lot of interesting stories about Iceland on this program. In addition 1 of the 4 flights is operated on the 757 which allows you to see and compare both aircraft which are very similar in the cockpit.

There's something about the 767 that I love. Perhaps, it's the combination of old school and glass cockpit, one of the first generations of Boeing aircraft to undergo this transformation. At any rate, thanks JP for another cool video.

Same way. I admire it's user friendly cockpit which can be modified to current standards. It's safety record is admirable among the 1980's manufactured fleets & beautiful signature Boeing shape. Lots of old schoolers like myself appreciate this bird & give it nostalgic thumbs up

Even most of the analog gauges are still driven by data from the computers, so it really isn't as antiquated as it looks on the outside.
      Plus, it's only 5 years older than the A320 (82 vs. 87).

Rush hour at Heathrow; love seeing all those planes and that resting Concorde. Amazing plane, awesome takeoff that sounds great, and great pilots. I love the different camera positions in this video as well. Different views of that same same takeoff was great. I also love the view outside this window; beautiful landscape and amazing view of the city. I always enjoy listening and watching what they do and how they do it. Awesome video, I love it.

My favourite widebody because of the economy tandem window seating vs the three on most others. Sadly many of their cabins are looking a bit tired because of age. Even my on my last business class flight on a BA 767 to London back in 2012 the premium cabin wasn’t looking very good with a lot of visible wear on the upholstery and furnishings.

IMHO the 763 is a bit of a tub for an airplane, but it makes great sense for Iceland Air due the the commonality with the 757. Great video, highly professional crew. Thanks.
