Soyeon (the rapper) writes, produces and comes up with the concepts for their albums. Yuqi and Minnie also write and produce their b-sides. These women are my favorite for a reason

Yes, I'm now using her name as a verb to describe the effect she has on literally EVERYONE at this point.
Soyeon said in an interview that to shoot and produce this video cost $820,000. Cube said they would only put up half of that, so the girls all chipped in and paid the other $410,000 with their own money so the video could be made.
Just watched them on Aneun Hyungnim talking about this. Soyeon said it cost 1.1 billion Won, which converts to right about the $820,000 that you said. She said there were 500 extras in the video, and that was where a lot of the money went. The girls seemed quite surprised when Soyeon told how much the video cost. Like they knew it was expensive, and that they paid half, but didn't know how much. Now that could have been scripted for the show, or it could be that they all agreed to pay without knowing the cost because they trust Soyeon's vision. After all, her genius is what got them where they are today... the first girl group to have four consecutive PAKs in four consecutive comebacks.

@@jars6230 They looked genuinely surprised. But then, they are trained to act on variety shows. Maybe Soyeon found out the total cost before the rest of the group (but after the video was made), but I find it hard to believe she would spring something like on them on tv.
Okay so TONS of information here but I love this group and this song so I’m fully engrossed.
First, Seoyeon (soh-yun is probably closest pronunciation) is the leader, she writes/composes/produces most of the songs, though a lot of b-sides get written by the other members (all have written multiple songs, but Minnie and Yuqi usually do them more often). She’s pretty well-known as one of, if not the, best female kpop rapper. Super lady was written, composed, and produced by Soyeon; Soyeon was influenced by Beyonce.
Cube Entertainment (their company) was only willing to pay for half the cost of the video, so the girls all ended up agreeing to chip in and paid for the other half because they really wanted this to fit the vibe they were going for.
The women each played a character, (in order of appearance): Soyeon was Athena, Minnie was Medusa, Shuhua was the Queen of Hearts, Yuqi (pronounced like Oo-ki) was Cruella (you called it!), and Minnie was Cleopatra.

These ladies are all geniuses, not just Soyeon (although as the Leader, she is the head of the snake).

100%! He would love the production. That's basically his bread-and-butter so watching a nice 'how-to' video would be great. :)
You can clearly see that they are Beyoncé fans lol they also used a very big budget. But still, they always portray messages about female empowerment because in South Korea it is still a big issue. I love them so much!

It was a clarion call to all the 4th Generation girl groups, and mentions the titles of many of those group's most popular songs.
And in full support of those groups, building them up instead of tearing everybody down. :)

I'm hoping to see you react to more (G)I-dle videos. They are the ones that hooked me into kpop, and lead me to Stray Kids.
My favourite videos, for all the aesthetic choices (and also the songs): Tomboy, Oh My God, and Lion. (Hwaa is also very beautiful, and Nude is a great MV study case, but I like that song less).

I really hope that we get to see another ONE OK ROCK reaction soon. I haven't figured out how to request a song. The song would be The Beginning live at Yokohama stadium Mighty Long Fall tour. Its probably the most energetic performance of the show, which is amazing because it's the last song of the concert, which was almost 2 and a half hours long.
Since I'm having a hard time figuring out how to request it, it would be amazing if someone did it for me.

Apart Cruella, this is mostly from Greek mythology. Don't remeber all, but there is Medusa with the snakes and Pallas Athene with her helmet.
