The best explanation I have heard as for why G-Idle struggles for fans isn’t because the english is bad or that the korean is bad. It is that it is often written with heavy cultural influence that foreigners don't always get. They are heavy in female empowerment but the message gets lost. Thank you for reacting! Honestly I think that is the reason most people get drawn to them, not why they ‘struggle’ for fans. The message is usually pretty clear. It’s just that the message isn’t for everyone and not everyone finds the message they give attracting. Or they get seen as too quirky or too strong. I think it’s okay tho, this makes the fandom filled with people that actually care about stuff that matters and love real personalities.😊

Unfortunately the need to defend someone that isn't being attacked can muddy the intended message of the defender. Your politeness in doing so is appreciated, though! I often get into discussion with those insulting the lyrics as being convoluted, and I was merely sharing the best explanation that I have heard for why that isn't the case. It has nothing do with people not liking strong women singing about being strong women or any of the other positive messages 😊

Everything in it, the concept, the lyrics, the outfits, the moulin rouge inspiration, the classical music mixed in… it’s like it was done knowing everything i love in a song. BUT 😪 it’s one fatal flaw is being a ”soyeon and her backup dancers” song. If not for that it probably would’ve been one of my most listened to songs in 2022.

i think you should listen to billlie, they’re a fairly new girl group and their concept is very weird and mystical, plus the backstory is incredible, i won’t spoil too much but it’s basically their friend went missing and her name was billlie love and they sing songs about what happened and the lore and the backstory and it’s just really cool, i think you’d like it, their debut was RING X RING !!!
