Fantastic review, guys! Thank you very much indeed! You've helped me a lot changing my mind and purchasing one of these. I'm a longtime user of the IK Multimedia plugins, so naturally I was quite interested in their pedals and as I said your extremely detailed review sold me the red box and got me as your subscriber! :D
Just got to 8:45 into the vid and the high level overview and Holly Cow!!! This thing is totally immense. Remember it from the unboxing but Dam! This is huge
Watching this after IK are giving the X Drive on Amplitube.. The software version is slightly different but after watching your video & then again trying on Amplitube i think i kinda know what's what.. Thanks a lot..
First of all, i really Like your Videos . Ans this ist again really great. I wonder if you could make one comparing the Interface Options with the Axe IO. Comparing Axel IO with Stomp IO, i was very surprised how different they Sound/Work.
My understanding was that the xDrive is also an Interface, and you have already used the Axe IO. Of course a comparison between those ans the irig Stomp IO and HD2 eould bei nice to, but I haven't really seen someone using the xdrives as an Interface. Knowing that you already used an AXE IO, i thought it would be nice, if you say a word or two in comparison. Thank you already for your response.
There is a serious vibe going thru my community of reviewers and trend setters including guys like Dave Friedman that these are equal to but with their own twist on the similar Boss pedals. Players are picky about their dirt sounds and Reverbs can get into a serious lint pick but on the whole they are a open to modulation FX . The big fuss is all about the X-Vibe with avery high quality and it's $300 price. They are definitely on the vanguard of the current 'cool' pedals to check out.
They are really well made pedals for a company that hasn’t really made pedals before! I haven’t had a chance to try the X-Vibe yet (hopefully we will get one soon) but we have the X-Space and the ambient reverbs on that are really good…
Nice dive, guys! I personally thought the drive sounds here were fairly hit and miss. Some good sounding models, quite a few fairly lackluster ones. The digital convenience features are nice, and could be put to quite creative use, I'm sure. However, at the price they're asking for one of these, you're not too far off from what a used HX Stomp goes for. That would cover basically all the sounds of this whole X-Stomp series (but with, based on demos, in my view overall better quality effects), plus massively flexible amp simulation and all (?) of the digital conveniences the X-Stomps have. I don't really see a clear niche for these pedals, unless one is a longtime user of Amplitube in the studio, is super committed to those specific takes on the sounds, and wants to take them on the go for gigs without bringing their laptop along.
@@TSFAHTPS thanks, so do the 16.? Pedal types then apply to all the different presets?,ie so the Jupiter preset can have a modern, yellow, blue etc ,pedal effect applied to it? Tia.
@@TSFAHTPS ah yes, thanks heaps, I bought one and after watching all the demo vids I turn it on a go this doesn’t seem right, 😵💫 only cause I didn’t understand, and when I changed a preset, the indicator light moved to all different drive categories, I would have liked to see a video explaining how the different presets can be altered by the different drive categories, I’m finding it hard to explain what i mean 🤓but I think you gave me a good idea 👍 thanks for your time and appreciate your help 💯
Awsome overview and details in this video. Good job!
Thank you very much!!
A big thanks for going through everything. Got this pedal for Christmas and I was lost.

Not only really impressive pedal effects but the cab sims are also really great. Amazing review guys

This is the kind of pedal you can get lost in for days, where everything's tweakable.
Yeah absolutely…and that’s only the drive…wait till you see the video with their reverb!!
Great playing great pedal cheers chaps more in-depth stuff please!🙂👍🎸
There will be more!! Thanks BluesSumlin

Maybe this pedal really dont need any preamp sim because has many equalization settings.

I’ll see if IK Multimedia will send us some more interfaces and then I can do a comparison

I’m confused, you change the settings ie to yellow or green etc, and Jupiter is displayed, why is that thanks
its because we were editing an exisiting preset to demo the sounds. the old name remained.

@@backplomer for example, you could name the preset the song name for your band then build the sound with any drive algorithms and then save it

I feel like digital distortion hasn't come very far since I got my Behringer V-amp2 like 20yrs ago (in sound - not 'features').
Really big difference between guitars and pickups with this pedal which surprised me as the software not so much difference.
Guys a heads up the time stamps not worked.
