IK Is basically selling these as Eventide knockoffs with a Strymon enclosed finish at half the price with actual good sounding performance. Hope Behringer doesn't find out about this.
Hahaha I was thinking the same thing
Beautiful ! Love that 'fuzzy flange' and chirus/flange sound ❤❤❤❤❤❤
These are pretty cool. They seem kind of pricy considering you can buy the full version of Amplitube for the price of one pedal, but I guess the price of buying all 4 is less than buying Amplitube AND a laptop if you don’t have one already.
Yeah but amplitube 5 comes with the purchase of one pedal rn.. so that's dope no?
Thanks Andy
Enjoy all your informative un bias tone reports

Great vid as always... But for these pedals, I'd rather either get an iRig stomp I/O to use my Amplitube 5 rig on stage or use what a single of these pedals costs and build a pedalboard with Behringer pedals
you could build a pedal board of behringer pedals but it couldnt touch a set of these for the flexability - not even close .
I like them.
Kempler must have sponsored this video, buy all 4 and you have almost spent enough to buy their pedal board !! Amplitube 5 is good but its certainly not the best, none of them are, they all have their strengths and weaknesses, same for the modellers since most of todays amp/cab/effects stage gear use IR samples to recreate the tone. Effects are the least problematic to generate its a choice of which one you like but when it comes to amp/cab modelling that is a whole different scenario. If you want an alternative to buying numerous amps and cabs, invest and treat yourself to a modeller, you will not regret it.
Which one tho
@@cloudx333 the Boss one
I think the M and the V in the cab section stands for modern and vintage rather than marshal and vox...vox not really known for their 4 ×12 to be honest
Andy strikes again!
Andy is one of the best gear demo-ers ever. But hard no on these pedals.
Why?
I agree - totally surprised at how much I hated these pedal because I like Amplitube
@@themikepadua all of my reasons are subjective, and merely my opinion, but here we go. First of all, I don't want something that takes up so much real estate on my pedal board. Next, I personally don't want or need a pedal with this many options/parameters. I don't mind spending time with a pedal to get the most out of it for me, but I know I won't with something like this. Next, the price. I understand that you get a lot for one pedal, and it's all relative. Lastly and mostly importantly, these sound very synthetic to my ears. Especially the Drive sounds. They seems to be lacking soul and/or character, almost like the early days of amp modeling.
@@carypollick2862 Iappreciate the opinions. I’m always curious about actual reasons when people simply state negative or affirmative on things. I think these kinds of discussions are productive.
Andy is an amazing player fr
Buying one rn
What's that awesome guitar at the start?
I’m curios too . Daneelectro ??
Reverend Jetstream RB
Here we go again Andy....he is so good he can sail a freezer to eskimo's
I’d love to see Andy sail a freezer
Could this go straight to PA? And negate need for an amp?
Yes they have bult-in amp sim
00:45 sounds like HUM
Bruh the amplitube modulation all in one pedal had evh phase 90
Shoegaze to me
Looks like they are using Strymon enclosures
you need to clarify the content
IMO everything that IK does is way overpriced
Amplitube 5 Maxx is a good deal, I paid under 500.00 and even got a AXE/IO interface.
I own it along with the AXE/IO box. I am not a fan of either. I wish Brian May had chosen a different company to work with. I think part of the problem is that they don’t understand good English.
Not everything. I got the Total Studio Max 3 plus iLoud MTM bundle for 850 as I had some IK credits. iLoud MTMs normally go for 700 a pair, and I got a 100 dollar credit for future purchases after registering the product. So I essentially got Total Studio Max 3 for 50 bucks, which includes all of IKs software. That sounds like a hell of a deal to me, comparable to only Native Instruments Komplete.
These pedals are a bit expensive, but consider that you get the software versions too, and you get a bundle saving of 200 if you buy all 4. Buying from IKs website saves you the sales tax, and I would expect, registering them after purchase should give you some credits for future purchases too. I’d say they are not terribly priced for guitar pedals, as these are quite versatile with many pedals in one and that each one can also be used as an audio interface on its own. Only something like a GT 1000 core or helix would be better value.
Ya. $150 seems like a lot for these. :(.
Showgaze vibes
Those look a lot like the Strymon volante. Like way too similar.....
pedals clipping / noise gates shutting off notes and trails / shrill/no tone they sound awfull . if andy cant get them to sound good i certainly wont/ he is one of the best players to my ears that i would trust
Tube was overdriving a little. Noise gate was disabled 👍🏻
All the ease of using your cursor, conveniently overcomplicated so IK can sell you a physical box.. even though that's why you got the software to begin with.. to not have dozens of pedals, amps, and patch cables to mess with while finding tones.. for cheap.. without sacrificing audio quality. These are just the Horcrux pieces of software that already exists.
It’s a bit 2017. They might consider themselves leaders in the software room, but in hardware they’re nobody. I expected better from them.
Strymon should sue.
If they didn't sue boss over the 500 series stuff, why start now?
@@lockedowng the Boss stuff doesn’t look as much like Strymon as these things do IMO
@@baseboardmatt I guess boss tried to steal the sounds (same size though) and IK tried to steal the look.
@@lockedowng uhh… what sounds did Boss try to steal from Strymon exactly??
@@bilnabiln tell me that dd-500, rv-500, and md-500 were not going directly after the timeline, big sky, and mobius. From features to sounds to form factor. Just a little close. Now you have them going after the iridium with the ir-200. I love boss but it rubs me the wrong way.
