I've learned as a rule Marvel and DC characters tend to do better in Death Battle against characters from other universes. They've simply had more outlandish feats of strength, speed, and skill, than you'd find in more grounded material. There are always exceptions of course, but in general this seems to be how it plays out.

here's something to mull over when it comes to doom's will. in one comic, the purple man, a mutant with the power to make people obey him, had his powers amped to the degree that he took over the world. doom confronted him and told him to cut that shit out. purple man said that doom can only talk like that because his helmet shielded his mind from his powers. so doom took off his helmet and dare him to try it. purple man tried to make doom kill himself but doom didn't move. why? because he didn't want to. he resisted the purple man's powers through sheer, unmitigated will power alone. doom is in a class unto himself when it comes to comic villains. also, doom has taken over the world, more than once and he did a great job in running it. but he wasn't beaten by heroes or anything like that. doom got bored and gave it back. he found taking over the world more challenging than actually running it.
Interesting. In Secret Wars 2 the only person able to resist the Beyonder taking over their will was Molecule Man, but then again, Doom was destroyed and not on earth during this time…wonder what would’ve happened if he had been there 🤔

Fun fact, Doctor Doom was the direct inspiration for Vader himself. Is it really a wonder Lucas would want to do a variant of his story for his big bad? Dark lord of mysticism clad in armor and capes, ruling over expendable soldiers and having the backstory of being a momma’s boy…and growing up to be a total badass. Enjoyed the reaction, guys! This was one of my favorite Death Battles, glad one of my favorite reaction channels looked at it!

It mostly there for our amusement. It is a placeholder. What matters, at least from Screwattack is the verdict and the background segment of the Death Battles. Not every single battle can be saved by bias. It is very difficult to portray the characters faithfully. In this battle, would you consider Vader to have the advantage?

dr doom is one of my favorite villains of all time, mostly cus he is like objectively right, like multiple Gods have said that he should rule the universe and a comic even showed that once he rules the world all conflict ceases to exist. and vader is honestly an equally great villain too, again cus he was completely justified
Honestly thought this was a complete miss match in power. I mean Doom at his best is going up against cosmic beings and I can't see Vadar even coming close to fighting stuff like that. Vader's only real chance was to throw squirrels at him. But unfortunately, he didn't have any on hand. 😥But damn I love Doom. You guys check the fight between Reverse Flash Vs Goku Black and Flash(Wally West) Vs Sonic(Archie Comics). Those are the best and craziest fights ever.
Tons of better feats exist for Anakin/Vader that they didn't mention, likely due to when this came out. That being said Doom still wins even with that in mind.
As a measuring stick for Doctor Doom's capabilities: he's second in magic only to the Sorcerer Supreme (Dr. Strange) and he's second in science on earth only to the Scientist Supreme (Hank Pym). The only ones who top Doctor Doom in science and magic are the literal peak of the two subjects.

I don't know much about Dr. Doom, but after watching the character profile, he seems as close to a God as one can get without actually being one. Vader is powerful and all, but at the end of the day he's a mortal man who's already in rough shape. He needs the Force just to keep himself alive sometimes. Much as I love Darth Vader, this is easily Doom's fight.

Doctor Doom is the best comic villain ever. Best back story, best character motivation, best powers and abilities, best resource (he owns his own freaking country), and best feats. How many times has he conquered the Earth, universe, and heck even multiverse? I know people love Joker, but come on. Even most comic fans (not Bat fan boys) agree he's even better at prep time than Batman.

Vader is Bad no doubt, but really hes up against humans and barely above human level foes other than other jedi 99% of the time, so while hes OP in that universe, in Marvel he would easily be beat by even a Doom-Bot, much less Doom himself who regularly takes on world destroying threats likes its just another Tuesday, and counters Galaxy and Universal theats repeatedly. This fight was like taking a roid raged Mike Tyson at his peak and putting him against a five year old, its that much of a mismatch. Doom regularly defeats people with much much greater powers than Vader, as really Sue Storm alone has similar abilities by her use of forcefields to achive hurling objects, cutting off breathing, deflecting energy/physical attacks, clutching and holding objects, and her brother plays with flames to a far higher degree than vader does electicity, and yet Doom has survived encounter after encounter with the entire FF, plus sometimes the Avengers thrown in on top, so Vader wouldnt stand a chance. The only reason Deathbattles didnt have it as a stomp from the first is to not to piss off the Star Wars fanboys of which I am one, but as a Marvel reader and Doom enthusiast also, I have to say the power levels between the universes is severly imbalanced and even Legends Palpatine at his peak wouldnt be much more of a problem in the Marvel Universe than the standard Avengers double issue villan at best, as the power levels in the marvel universe is just astronomically higher.

Doom regularly defeats people with much much greater powers than Vader, as really Sue Storm alone has similar abilities by her use of forcefields to achive hurling objects, cutting off breathing, deflecting energy/physical attacks, clutching and holding objects, and her brother plays with flames to a far higher degree than vader does electicity, and yet Doom has survived encounter after encounter with the entire FF, plus sometimes the Avengers thrown in on top, so Vader wouldnt stand a chance.
The only reason Deathbattles didnt have it as a stomp from the first is to not to piss off the Star Wars fanboys of which I am one, but as a Marvel reader and Doom enthusiast also, I have to say the power levels between the universes is severly imbalanced and even Legends Palpatine at his peak wouldnt be much more of a problem in the Marvel Universe than the standard Avengers double issue villan at best, as the power levels in the marvel universe is just astronomically higher.
