fyi - they didn't put it in the video but there is an additional step where you may have to pull the heating cable out from behind the fan and plug it in. This will solve the issue if you have power at your terminals but it is still throwing an error that states: "E1 Heating failed, printer halted, please reset"
@@moisesmaldonado3210 Sure! at 0:12 in the video, when the person removed the extruder from the box, you can see two red wires extending from the side and into a plug on the side of the sprite. out of-box, these two red wires and plug are tucked behind the fan. You can to pull them out from behind the fan and plug them in before proceeding with the install. You can test the thermistor by blowing some hot air on the extruder while the printer is turned 'on'. the LED display on the printer should show the temp changing as the end heats up. Make sure you don't heat it up so much the wires melt, though. If the thermistor is functioning, you can then check the terminals for the heating element using a multimeter on the terminal block holding the HEAT connectors. if power is good, you can check the connector that the red wires are plugging into on the right side of sprite extruder itself (looking at it from the front while mounted). if that has no power, you may need to re-seat the HEAT connectors. Hope this helps!

My ender 3v2 has a hot sprite, when starting the scan, the cr touch was left off the table, do you know how I can set it to the correct configuration, which in this case would be E 424.9
Totally ignored the software/firmware side, which is where most people will get stuck.No mention of whether updated firmware is included to print in high temps. (Most Enders are limited to 260, stock.)
I have yet to see anyone mention this as an issue BUT for me I've followed everything setting this thing up and everything works BESIDES the part cooling fan!..... No matter what it's always at 100%... not controllable at all.... whats up with this??
The auto-leveling mounting position is different, it will be great that Creality can come out firmware upgrade sooner for Ender-3 / Pro / V2 and Max so that we can use the CR-touch / BLTouch.

I installed this on my E3 Max. Getting an E1 heating error. All cables are good, polarity the right way etc. Checked the thermister and it shows an increase in temp if use a hair dryer. Any idea. The product does say for E3 Max too. Edit. Forgot to plug in the hot end cable. You k is the one with the label that says “Plug in cable”. All good now and now have the modified board from Creality support.
You say here that the e-step / steps per mm should be 424.9 but the Sprite Extruder Pro+ product manual says 475 - which is it? You need to be clearer please.
Were you ever able to show step by step how to install and modify the firmware? I was told it was just plug and play and didn’t need to mess with any firmware?
You need to adjust your file explorer setting so it shows file extensions. Open Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization. Click on Folder Options or File Explorer Option, as it is now called Select the View tab. In this tab, under Advanced Settings, you will see the option Hide extensions for known file types. Uncheck this option Click on Apply and OK. After that you will be able to change file extensions. document1.txt to document1.gcode (example)

Hello I just got this extruder for my ender 3v2 and I followed all the steps but my cooling fan isn’t working. When I go to adjust the speed to test it the bottom fan hitting the motherboard turns on instead. How do I fix this?
They make it look so simple. As of November 23, 2024 i just installed my on a pro with a 4.2.2. Board. Cr touch will not deploy. Using an onle cable it will deploy but not if the cr touch is plug into the bacl of the print head board. Also, when i go to pre heat it just shiluts off and restarts. My printer is 100 percent stock. This is a horrible way to sell a product. It doesnt even work!

@Creality3DScanner thanks for reaching out but it still doesn't change the fact that the issues with it, everyone is having. Google it. The cr touch will not work when hooked up to the board. Has to be wired separately, and the cr touch need to have the off sets re set as it goes off the print bed. And the cr touch is at almost the exact same hight as the print nozzle. I have to take apart the whole print head to make the cr touch have enough play in its brackets to give it more clearence. It would run into the print........
I have an OLD (5 years?) Ender3. Will this work on it? What about on a 6SE? I have need of flexible filament as well as high temp (PC and Nylon) so I am looking into an all metal direct drive hot end system.
@@BaelSito7 Yea...not upgrading my Ender3 to a 32-Bit board... 6SE just went down, and I haven't had the time to look at it. It does have a 32-Bit board, but that darn Force Sensor sucks to deal with. 50 different stories from "Nope, if you have it, you can't upgrade" to "Yea, you can upgrade, but you have to rip everything out and run new cabling, and it's a PITA"...so I'll probably just avoid it. I'm so over "tinkering" with 3D Printers (been in the hobby since 2009...so tinkering is what we did)...just over it.
Its fucking rediculous that creality support of all people would just outright tell you the E-steps instead of vaguely bullshitting you about "calculating" them.

This would be great if it actually worked. The hardware installation was the easy part. I've been on a tech support chat with Creality searching for the right Firmware for over an hour. That "create text file" and "save it as gcode" is not working. Printer can't even see the file. I'm about to come unglued. All the videos here make it seem like it's easy and straightforward. Tech support has sent me 3 different .bin files to try to get this working, and still it's behaving strangely. X, Y, Z, axes work fine. Thermistor detects temp. Heating Block gets really hot really quickly. Also installing the CR-Touch. Basically turning my E3V2 into an E3S1. It's not as easy as everyone would have you believe. The CRTOUCH Probe is trying to take readings in thin air, not on the build plate. I've adjusted the X and Y Probe Offsets to compensate, but it's like it doesn't even save the info. Every time I home it, it just ends up thinking it's somewhere it's not. Then, when it tries to create the AutoMesh it goes all the way to the right and slams into the gantry and grinds the gears. Where's the magic fix here? What firmware are you guys using? Is everything working like it's supposed to? Reply and direct me to any firmware download links you might have that actually work. And what are you guys using for X and Y Probe Offsets? Or should I be changing the X and Y Origin? Any solutions? THANKS!

100$ is too expensive for this kind of upgrade. I mean, there are already alternative 3D printer like mingda which has direct drive extruder with under the 300$ price. At least some one can tell me that why it is so expensive ?

@@outlawgaming893 the default firmware (mine is ender 3 V2) is limited to 260 degrees. Because ptfe tube can melt in 300 degrees. You can always change the settings in source code and compile it, that's for sure. But this video doesn't good enough. Especially Ender 3 v2 is limited with 260 degrees, not 300 degrees.

You should be able to input the new X and Y offsets in your current firmware I hope. Which model do you have?

I was thinking just use the s1 firmware since the build plate is the same size just that the height s1 is 10 mm higher but that shouldn't be a problem
just upgrade it to Klipper and you can do whatever you want

I've tried to convert the txt file to g code hundreds of times but it will never save to my card as a g code, so it never works:(

@@ScaryNda206 yea it was a son of a b getting it off, use a qtip with some rubbing alcohol, dab each spot and wait a min, should pop right off.
Use a hot glue gun and just melt it and pull. Or you can even use a soldering tip

This would be great if it actually worked. The hardware installation was the easy part. I've been on a tech support chat with Creality searching for the right Firmware for over an hour. That "create text file" and "save it as gcode" is not working. Printer can't even see the file. I'm about to come unglued. All the videos here make it seem like it's easy and straightforward. Tech support has sent me 3 different .bin files to try to get this working, and still it's behaving strangely. X, Y, Z, axes work fine. Thermistor detects temp. Heating Block gets really hot really quickly. Also installing the CR-Touch. Basically turning my E3V2 into an E3S1. It's not as easy as everyone would have you believe. The CRTOUCH Probe is trying to take readings in thin air, not on the build plate. I've adjusted the X and Y Probe Offsets to compensate, but it's like it doesn't even save the info. Every time I home it, it just ends up thinking it's somewhere it's not. Then, when it tries to create the AutoMesh it goes all the way to the right and slams into the gantry and grinds the gears. Where's the magic fix here? What firmware are you guys using? Is everything working like it's supposed to? Reply and direct me to any firmware download links you might have that actually work. And what are you guys using for X and Y Probe Offsets? Or should I be changing the X and Y Origin? Any solutions? THANKS!

100$ is too expensive for this kind of upgrade. I mean, there are already alternative 3D printer like mingda which has direct drive extruder with under the 300$ price. At least some one can tell me that why it is so expensive ?
it's not just direct drive it's also an all metal hot end that can do 300°
Yeah the extruder is pretty good you can buy a shit direct drive kit for 20 usd

@@aim6mac you must have the wrong FW cause I'm not having any issue hitting 300
@@outlawgaming893 the default firmware (mine is ender 3 V2) is limited to 260 degrees. Because ptfe tube can melt in 300 degrees. You can always change the settings in source code and compile it, that's for sure. But this video doesn't good enough. Especially Ender 3 v2 is limited with 260 degrees, not 300 degrees.
