You should use the move menu to move the hotend around to level the bed, as when you disable the steppers you can't tell if your moving the hotend up or down, which is not great when you need it to be accurate within a few tenths of a mm.
I have a quick question because I am trying to do the same configuration. But it looked as if you taped off the cr touch and the other connector, but later you may have reconnected the cr touch connector before closing. Did you end up using the CR Touch connector, because I keep getting a black screen on when I have them connected.
Bought the extruder and 32bit board January if last year. Promptly burned up the board and goes to thermal run away. Ordered another board tonight, so hopefully I get it working. Then I can do the same on my cr10s
I was deciding between the the S1 Normal , not pro, and the Sidewinder X2, I got the S1 and I love it, had it for about a month and I've had no issues. Just make sure you don't smash the nozzle into the bed the first time you try to level it like me!
Hi. Thank you for your time and all information on the video. It's very helpful. Would you or someone over here know why the printer wont store settings anymore after doing this upgrade in my case? I've installed successfully the sprite pro kit on my ender 3 pro with cr touch, dual-z rod and motor. 4.2.7 board. but, when i power cycle the printer, it loses all the settings, including the z-offset.
I am trying to set up this exact same printer, extruder, and can't seem to get the z offset correct to print correctly. Do you have any recommendations?
@@renerosentraeger I did get the sprite extruder kit for my ender 3. I have 2 things that I could use some help. The new extruder for what ever reason is giving me way worse adhesion then stock ender 3. The last 30 sec of this video showed custom settings for the extruder are those posted anywhere?

Great video, thanks! I've an Ender 3 v2 and just bought the Sprite kit. Can't wait to try it out. Any experiences with CR touch, as I heart it's not officially supported for Ender 3? I also use the professional firmware from mriscoc which is much better than stock - especially bed tramming and leveling is now much better. I currently also get good print results with standard bowden extruder after changing to capricron bowden tube.

Will this work with / on a standard / original Ender 3?
Yes it will, I've installed one on an Ender 3 and Ender 3 V2
