Hello. Thanks for the video. Question..I do billing but would like to do remote a couple days out of the week. How does your job monitor what you do while working from home.
Hi, they monitor us a few ways. We all have company laptops that they can access remotely, second is when we sign on we have to remotely login into our work desktop to do our work. With that after 5 min you are logged off for inactivity and because you log in the system they can track everything you are doing. Third the laptop location is shared and also they can see the location of where you access the system. I dont think my company check all of this unless you are falling behind and not completing your work. Also we do have to turn in a sheet daily that tells all the claims we have work for the day that they can go into the account and make sure it was worked.
I have a question. I'm interested in schooling for medical billing and coding. I have dislecsea. Do you think it would be hard for me? Because I caught on slower?
You could just take up an online billing and coding certification course. Preppy Preppy is an online course that is self paced. That way you work on your certification a couple of hours a week at your own pace.
Depends. Most insurance plan has provider portals you can upload to or your company can sent up remote faxing. Email is tricky when dealing with bigger companies because you will be emailing a general email, so things can get lost having you doing double work and hard to prove timely submission. I would recommend fax with a confirmation number or certificate mail that has to be signed for and have a tracking number.

Do fully remote billers need to fax? Or can things be emailed?
