I’m so happy you stayed doing medical coding. I’m a Risk Adjustment Compliance Auditor fully remote , work for another state that pays better. Honestly best career I’ve ever had ❤
CONGRATS 🎊🎉 I just graduated with my Associates Degree from medical Billing and Coding… Please pray that I grasp onto everything that I need to know once I step foot in this field!!
Glad it worked out for you. At this point in your life and career, the sky is the limit. You can pick and choose the direction you want to go. I am an old retired lady. I was a medical software trainer. Went all over the country training doctors and staff. I also taught courses. In my 60s I was fired from a 6 figure position in a hospital. I was too young for social security. I had grounds to sue, but didn't persue. It caused my finances and health to take a severe downturn. Now on social security, I need to supplement my income. I am looking to getting my certification (CPC) and a 100% remote job. I am now disabled, not able to join the workforce. Thanks for the encouraging videos. Best of luck in all your endeavors.
Im glad you're sticking around in RA! Im proud of you. I love your ambition. You are so intelligent and encouraging. I really like RA coding. Im in a new role. This is only the 2nd company i worked for, and let me tell you, I jumped so much in one friggn year with regard to salary. Im still learning and growing, and i hope to start working on entering into the CDI side of things.
You have been so supportive. I'm so happy your salary jumped 🙂. I feel like I would love CDI too. I feel I could make a major impact on helping providers improve their documentation. Please update me if you transition to CDI. I would love to know how it's going for you.
Coming across this video has been an inspiration for me to push forward with my career in coding. Thank you for being so transparent. May God continue to bless you and keep you safe
Coming to your channel always leaves me feeling like I can do it. Seeing your journey has really inspired me to stay the course on my medical coding journey. Congratulations on your new role🎉🎉
Ms. Laquuta, I honestly was concerned for you trying to break into tech in this job market. Tech is not being kind to people at the moment, with layoffs and such. I truly believe God gave you the perfect opportunity in His perfect timing! Selfishly, I also love the thought of you continuing to make coding videos because I very much enjoy them!
Great presentation! So happy we will get to continue to see you in the medical coding space a little while longer. You truly are inspiring to myself and so many others! Just passed my CPC exam in July and I’m so excited to start my own journey. You are a constant reminder that it is possible!
You are so inspirational! I’m in my late 30s doing a career change and am super interested in getting into medical coding from corporate medical insurance and videos like this make me feel like I’m doing the right thing! Thank you for this great video and the others you have posted ❤
Congratulations on your new journey! I’m so happy you’re back to the coding life! I know you’re going to do amazing in your new role. God bless you and thank you for inspiring us in every way. I’ve been following you for quite a long time and missed your coding videos. ❤
Yes ma'am!! Congratulations on your promotion! You inspired me to look into tech. God is definitely using you to inspire others. Keep going, God bless!
Thank you so much!! Please keep me posted on your journey into tech. I bet you already know this...Tech sales is a quick way in if you don't mind code calling.
Maam !!!! I just saw you presentation... and baaaaaa be! You were absolutely awesome. I thought the video was a great overview. It was clear and concise. That presentation gave me the impression that you were seasoned professional. I don't know you but for reasons I wont mention you made me proud. I appreciate you for giving God the glory. I am looking for a remote job and now you have peaked my interest in being a medical coder. Lastly, I like how you didn't mention your employer yet you still gave some nuggets on how to get good pay. Thank you and be Blessed!
Congratulations.. that was a great presentation, im a student for risk adjustment, because its new to me im everywhere, but i like your journey, and im following... good luck with everything
Thank you! I'm definitely planning to do more presentations to increase my skillset. I'm very happy I'm in the RA sector. Can't see myself doing anything else in coding over RA.
@@Ms.Laquita thank you so much .prayers are everything I have 2 job interviews tomorrow at 8 and 2 I really want the 8 am it’s for claims coding specialist and charge master analyst positions.I have my RHIT and coding certification and I have had interviews but the no experience has caused to say no. I do pray for not a stressful job. But I do ask the Lord to make this dream happen for me. Only he can make a way and he truly can glorify himself in this. Like Lord this is all you and if asked I would give him all the glory
Congrats on the new job, i just started my job as a hcc coder, and i still struggle with everything. Like literally would love to see u make more vlogs like hcc scenarios specially on complex dx. God bless u ❤
God bless you too. I have a video coming up on HCC Coding. I don't feel it's really complex because most who watch are new. I felt it made sense for me to start soft and go from there to more complexity.
Congratulations 🎉 on your new career! I wish I could land me a risk adjustment position . I had my CPC-A going on three years and still no luck due to no coding experience.
Its crazy because I worked for a big hospital in California doing RA medical record processing and then I graduated College, but am not happy with my current status and have been thinking about learning more about the coding industry because I love the remote hybrid positions I see online and I remember working next to coders when I worked in the Medical Records office. Hmmm thanks for this God put me here to learn more!!!❤🎉
Can I ask, if someone like me is new to the industry… what would be the most common coding certifications? Would it be the CPC? I know it depends where you live and where youre planning to work but I see some RHIT associates degrees on Indeed too so I just have no clue. I come from the social services world and am new to this and wanna explore it more!
There are various online platforms offering medical coding courses that have gained positive recognition. It’s essential to research thoroughly, consider reviews, course offerings, accreditation, and potential job placement assistance before choosing a program. Some individuals also utilize community college programs. I can't personally endorse any courses. I didn't take a course. I learned my knowledge on the job.
This is honestly my dream job I have healthcare and pharmacy customer service experience But have noticed most coding requires experience anyone can provide first step or school to attend Please advise Thanks in advance

Is it true what people say? Is it hard to get a job in coding
It's hard to get a job in any career w/o experience.
@@Ms.Laquita what about once you get experience?
I’m just starting out as a MC as a second career in my 40’s. Any tips? Also how long would it take to get the knowledge to be a RA? Tia
Wow I love the fact that you said GOD put you there! I feel that! 🙏🏼

What do the interview questions be like? The medical field is new for me in general
What program can I get to become a coder
Is medical coding a lot of typing?
Congratulations🎉! But will you be getting your CPMA certification?
I thought about it. I heard that exam is hard! I haven't made a final decision yet.
What is RA coding?
Risk Adjustment...🙂 It's a specialty coding. It's still coding just done from a different perspective.
@@heydiq2143 ohhhhhhh ok I forgot all about RA Coding HCC coding.
Hi what advice would you give a new coder trying to get into risk adjustment coding ?
It may sound cliche, but don't allow rejection to discourage you! You just gave me a video idea! Thank you.
