    Jasmine, there are so many Medical Billing channels out here. I find your delivery amazing, like a talk show or news anchor. Your information is so thorough, and your content is terrific. This is definitely the channel that I have been so looking forward to. I fell into medical billing by accident. My first client is a solo practitioner mental health practitioner. He was doing everything himself. I feel this is a good learning environment that will allow me to learn and grow simultaneously.

    I am so glad you made this channel. Thank You:) I will be using this channel as notes. I really want to get into this field. I will be looking into the AAPC course. It looks like it's getting straight to the training and I can pay as I go. I wish I knew this before...because I was under the assumption you didn't need school and that training was offered on the job. However I have not found that job post YET! :D But now that I know I have a goal... I can handle 4months over 2 years....I JUST WANT TO BE IN THE DOOR AS OF TOMMORROW :D

      Thanks for your comment, Patrice! It's great to hear you are considering medical billing as a career. I would recommend you start with our Medical Billing 101 course as it would definitely give you a good sense of medical billing so you can decide if it's for you. Today is the last day of sale for our Billing Starter Bundle and that would be the better deal. More info can be found here: ips-s-school-8c86.thinkific.com/bundles/MBStarterBundle
      If you choose Billing as your career our next Mastering Medical Billing program starts in January 2023 and the Language of Billing (included in the starter bundler) is a prerequisite so you'd already have that.

    • @InleraU
      @InleraU  2 года назад +3

      Great question! I will do a video to expand. Most billers are "behind the scenes". And yes there are many positions that train on insurance guidelines. This is because most insurnace guidelines are unique to state and specialty. The most important skills that are helpful in all cases is a natural desire to problem solve and eagerness to learn.

    I would like to work remote and I want to know if I’m interested in medical billing do I have to code? Also where would I apply as a beginner no experience like can a medical biller work in the offices of a nursing home ? I also want to know can I make $20 a hr doing this after 2 to 3 years.. I was thinking to take medical office and billing specialist will that allow me to work as a medical biller ?

    • @InleraU
      @InleraU  Год назад

      Thank you so much for your comment! These are really great questions. I can’t really speak specifically to the hourly rate that you’ve quoted, because that would be depending upon a number of factors, including where you’re located, and the type of billing role. However, the most common range for billers is $18-35 per hour.

      Hi Niki! Thank you so much for your message. How familiar are you with the position of a medical biller?
      We have a full flagship training course that is hybrid (some live & some pre-recording) and it starts early February. However, I would suggest if you are unfamiliar with the world of medical billing and coding then I suggest that you start with either the billing bundle or at least the billing 101 so you can become familiar with the industry and really decide whether billing is for you.

      Hi Tela! Thank you for your comment. That is very exciting! No, unfortunately, it is very unlikely to expose you enough of the medical billing side to be beneficial to you as a biller in the real world. Most coding programs exclusively train you on coding and only do an overview of the revenue cycle as a whole.

Additionally, when you complete the program still go out and get credentials from a well know organization such as AAPC to certify your knowledge and allow your resume to stand out.

      Once completed your studies, I recommend you getting a certification that will give you credentials.

      Hi Stephanie! There are a ton of home-based positions available in the market and opportunities for you to work your way up in the business of healthcare. If you’re starting out entry-level with no experience you’re probably going to start at a typical range for entry-level positions in your area. I would suggest looking into positions such as insurance verification or patient services representative. Typically they do not require as much experience and they will supply the equipment needed to get the job done.
