Don't know why your content is underrated. I recently joined a medical billing company and your video greatly made me savvy with system . What you teach is very easy to learn as well. Thank you for making this video 🎉❤
First time viewer here. I work in the medical field already as a Health Information Technician (not a coder) which I do audits and medical records review. I have experience with coding when I was in college finishing up my Health Information Technology degree. I am here because i am interested in medical billing, and in general the whole and many opportunities of RCM in healthcare.
im taking my Healthcare exp to the next level as a medical claims analyst...i was cleaning lots of dishes earlier anf watching you..now ill be cooking..ill play it again..this is such a great help for me as my preparation for nextweek as my DAy 1 of my new job as a call center agent! appreciate this learning so much! for sure ill subscribe! more power! Much love from the Philippines!
@@InleraU so far its great..been working in the BPO for 7 yrs. 3 yrs in Healthcare...ive handled provider side..Part D..huge MAPD aetna..now this..a level up really.. in essence ill stay in the HC accounts till the end of my career..its rewarding and challenging but no doubt helping a lot of people too...Thanks again! I always stay tuned on your channel!..
So I just finished my medical billing and coding course and received my license after passing the NHA exam. Upon looking into jobs, I realized I need more experience. I have no prior medical experience. What are other courses or education that I can receive in conjunction with CBCS? Also I learned a lot about insurance claims, EOB, AR, claims, hipaa, etc.. yet I feel like I don’t know what anything will actually look like on the job. Is there anything you can show us that will be on the job that is related to CBCS? Like programs, forms, job tasks, how claims will look, etc. idk if I’m just overthinking but would like to feel more confident. thank you!!!
In my opinion, this is a hard field to break into. I had this same issue years ago, I got a MB&C certificate and never got a position doing it, they all wanted experienced. It would be helpful if someone made a video on how to actually get an entry level position in this field, if there is such a thing. I still plan on taking the course again and giving it a second chance
Fantastic advice thank you guys so much for replying. I would say the same there’s a couple of recent videos/shorts that we’ve done related to exactly this topic of how to break into the field of medical billing. I would check those out and join our Facebook group so you can communicate with more billers and get tips on how they got their foot in the door.

I think billers code and then submit claims for reimbursement.
@@InleraU yeh, it's user-friendly and we can easily pull the ageing report, moreover, it's easy to refile cc claim from this software, actually I have more than 6 yrs of experience in medical billing as AR nd Denial specialist, so I did work with many software, however, Open PM is one of the best, now I am preparing for my CPC exam, I want to work as an account manager

Can you help with which dx codes to bill when a patient with Medicare has a check-up- not an annual wellness or a child well check but a physical ..Maybe the patient came in for a follow-up... The providers always bill an E/M with Z00.00!!! This will not get paid but everywhere I look on the medicare website and with numerous calls to Medicare I cannot figure this out.
The ehr demo is so helpful im new to billing and coding and want to learn everything but not sure yet what I’ll like or will be good at I’m still in a coding program
I took medical billing and coding but it did not go into the billing aspect of it. I took the MBCS exam and passed. I will be taking my CPC soon. I have no idea how to start in an office. I have no experience and I can't get any with out working in an office. Very frustrating.
Thank you so much for your comment! I completely understand your frustration. There are some medical billing companies that you might be able to work as an intern or an entry level position. I would suggest that you join our medical billers network Facebook group to network & possibly offer your support/services in there.
Hey Jasmine, if I could ask you a question: Do you know about the MMIS billing platform? Do you have a video explaining the different action and denial codes?
Thank you for your comment! I’m sorry, but I don’t have any experience with that particular software. If you haven’t done so already, you should consider joining our Facebook group and pose that question in the group to see if there’s someone in the group that could help
Hi I just got my A removed and is a full CPC. Now Im interested in expanding to medical billing as well. I'm looking for any 'foot in the door' part time Billing role to hone my skills. Appreciate if anyone can point me in the right direction

The range is quite wide in the US and would depend on the geographich location, experience, role and level of responsibility. I would say average range between 45 - 70k per year
In the US there are age minimums to working professionally that vary from state to state. But as for an age limit, you can be a biller for as long as you want to be working in the field!

Ask places if you can intern and after they sometimes offer a job. Or a foot in the door is working as a receptionist
