  • STOP, Hamel Time episode V featuring guest Vijayn Nair.
I met Vijayn Nair through the Toastmasters program- specifically at the Toastmasters 2017 District 48 conference. I was serving as club president of St. Petersburg Toastmasters and Vijayn was a candidate for District 48 program quality director- this was the first time we met. We met again at the Toastmasters 2019 District 48 Conference and my gut said, "You need to sit down and have a conversation with this man".
    I'm glad I did.
Vijayn was born in Kerala, India and was working in his father's businesses as early as 6 years old. Later in life, he joined a Toastmasters club where he'd call best selling author and motivational speaker Jeffrey Gitomer, also a fellow club member, asking him when he'd be available to put on the schedule- not knowing Gitomer was touring the country hosting large speaking events. Vijayn also shares with us his days as a satellite dish salesman- back when dishes were still 6-8ft in diameter and sleeping in your car was common for sales people.
Vijayn is a man based on principles such as integrity, respect, excellence, service, and empathy which were his guiding forces through life.
Topics we discuss include entrepreneurship, meditation, principles, the opportunities America offers, family, and acting to name a few.
Lastly, the upcoming film trailer featuring Vijayn we discuss in this episode is listed below.

Excellent interview Vijayan and I loved every word you said. You said it correctly, "Cancer is a treatable and curable disease - especially if diagnosed earlier." And your father is one person who beat his cancer - very admirable. Ravi
