At first , I thought this to be another opportunity for the interviewer to annoningly hang off his guests every word, like a star struck kid, no matter how profound/un-profound the words might be.He sed light, you see whoa, he sed around the corner ,you sed wow!I almost shut this down lol.Then towards the end ,obviously a first timer here to Ed's content , I realized I was watching two of the greatest , most humble gifts given to this platform. I've never heard or seen an interview so genuine that came from such a place of giving.I concluded that what I was watching was Ed's pure admiration for this remarkable man, admiration I now share. I'm glad I watched in its entirety and suppressed my inner most desire to judge.Great job Ed.

Here are some main points you should note guys :
1. The more valid reasons you have to accomplish your dreams , the higher odds are that you will.
2. Ask yourself Is your dream really your dream? (The first dream we have is of our parents dream).
3. Principles that are good without application OR connection are principles that are NOT going to work for you.
4. People hold themselves because they don't see what they will accomplish (work on it you will get all the answers).
5. A really great example at 15:15 (MUST WATCH)

6. You don't know what's around the corner till you go around the corner.
7. A lot of leaders fall short because they are unwilling to take what they know and act on it, so they never get to know what they could know.
8. Leadership is influence.
9. To increase your influence add value to people.
10. If you are out of position you are not going to be successful.

13. If you can make things happen for yourself, you have credibility to make things happen for others.

@yahya when we counsel people we are helping them where they feel they are lacking. When we equip someone we are pointing out their strengths and enhancing or advancing them. Counseling is harder because a person feels they are in a ditch while equipping is adding to the hill they are already on.

Wow this is an excellent interviewed by Ed Mylett to John Maxwell. Ed Mylett questions that exposed the faith and leadership style of John Maxwell. This interviewed i learned a lot of lessons both Trained Leadership skill and Transformation Leadership Skill. Likewise, the most important thing in life if first to be faith person and appreciate the gifts that God given to you and also is to be intentional in our life and if we have good intention in our life regularly it will produce good results. In our journey uphill we should be intentional because we cannot reach to the peak of the hill or mountain by accident unless we are intentional in life. The same with our life in our relationship, job, business and leadership style we should be intentional. Thanks Ed Mylett and John Maxwell the interviewed is worthy to watch. God bless both of you!
John is very special to my husband Jeff and myself as we met and got married at Skyline church. It was his messages that encouraged me to completely surrender my life to the Lord and I became a different person. John baptized me and Jeff was his prayer partner and would pray over John and the congregation during the services. We are forever grateful for the role he has played in our lives! I have watch countless videos but never(not once) wrote a comment. This is my 1st. This interview touch my mind & soul. The overwhelming feeling has me crying. I struggle with action. However i want to get to the top. Today 11/19/19 starts my relationship with God. So my gifts can be reveal to me, in order to serve. This is truly a Thanksgiving moment for me.
Its quiet interesting how we reject the reality of our situation and expect to be able to observe it, control it and even change it. I used to be financially depressed until I read a book that made me realized that the secret to making a million is making better investments.
What I think everyone need is an adviser, who can help you get in and out of any investment at any time and you'd sure be in Profit. With this I feel anyone can basically achieve financial freedom.

This has got to be one of my favorite interviews I have watched so far. Thank you for pursuing such high caliber people and bringing them to us. I was struck watching this particular interview how much you were engaged with John. Often interviews do not show both you and the other person together as much, but I was struck by how intently you made eye contact while listening. A true sign of respect!
John Maxwell has been a part of my upbringing. I’m a Pastor’s kid and my Dad and I have spent hours at a time (all through my life from teenage years in the 80’s and even to this week) talking about leadership. I got to hear him in person back in 2005 and had the pleasure of having him sign his book Time Matters. There’s so much gold in this interview. I’ll watch it again and take copious amounts of notes. Thanks Ed!

Great interview!! John Maxwell changed my life in such a positive way. I picked up Success Magazine and he was on the cover, January of 2016. After reading an interview with him it snow balled into where i'm at in my life now. I have a Successful business, wonderful wife and the best son god could give me.

@@EdMylettShow I found John's point about leadership as it applies to faith being the most interesting part of this. God doesn't demand our satisfaction or admiration, God demands obedience. As leaders we obviously can't make people do things, that's being a dictator. It's just a refreshing example of leaders being influencers and leading by example. Hope that makes sense. I appreciate the value from your platform.

@@EdMylettShow i really think that the one take away for me would be how to be a better leader by challenging instead of pleasing. I'm the kind that wants to make everyone happy but i know it's impossible and then I end up miserable and worn down. But i want to learn to challenge people to their full potential. I think veiwing it that way will be an easier way to not make everyone happy.
This guy is one of my favorite leaders! Had the pleasure of seeing him at many conferences! Leaders are readers! He honestly reminds me of some of the best times of my life.

Ed, I just discovered you a few weeks back. One thing I've noticed about you and love the most is you have a beautiful spirit about you and a truly humble heart. Regardless of your own amazing success, you always seem to try and take the spotlight off of you and put it on someone else. That is a gift, and a strength that you possess. I love how giddy you get when conversing with others about success principles, values etc. You're simply REAL. I greatly admire and appreciate that. Great video. We all strive for financial independence and better life. It’s not difficult in achieving this through the right investment, living frugally, and budgeting. I’m glad I learned early in life to work hard for financial freedom.
In my opinion, venturing into a good investment is not just a strategy for generating passive income but a profitable saving method for future expenses. Those who fail to make the right decisions early in life end up regretting it. Nevertheless, investing can be difficult and risky doing it solely, For this reason, I advise seeking help from professionals(financial advisors). It’s not just watching videos and reading investment books the challenge is using it well.
@@CynthiaByrd648 Sincerely, I’m truly inspired by your words. I’m very interested in investing and I have got a good sum of money which I’m ready to put in with the right information. My biggest fear is losing my money on the wrong investment. For this reason, I’m willing to listen to ay suggestions and ideas on how to invest wisely.
As a retired CPA with a lot of experience, I firmly believe that the success of any investment depends on having the right information, regardless of what others say, do whatever you set your mind to. Warren Buffer always says "be greedy when others are fearful and be fearful when others are greedy". This is certainly the trick to succeeding even when others fail. I made $100,000 working with 'Jill Marie Carroll' a licensed financial adviser. It’s been a promising experience so far with her.

As God has clearly called me to, I am working on getting back into teaching dance to teens as a ministry to boost their morale and help them feel close to God and better about themselves. I want to use this evangelistically, including in schools, using a message of encouraging youth to not give up their identity based on what others think and say, or compromise their morals to gain other's love and approval.
My son and I like what it was said about ones callings. Individual dreams. About values someone holds along with their faith. & actionable intentions. Also about personal talents & being in the right positions requiring our talents. Very valuable!! points to focus. I'm very graceful you share. 🙇♀️🙌
