Isn't the EQD Hoof also a hybrid of the two? I might be wrong. Any way, what I wanted to do was say thanks to Dagan for all the cheery positivity and enthusiasm in these videos. Good on you. During the pandemic I was looking after my Mum while she had cancer, so it was a really miserable time, and a few RUclips channels like this one were a little bit of cheer in otherwise miserable days. On the upside, we got her through it in the end, so times are better now, and back to enjoying guitar again! Thank you to all the PMT team that make the videos. I've been in the Birmingham store, and they're nice folk in there. I got a Ratsbane from them!
Is that internal trim pot advertised anywhere? I didn't see it in the manual, and I know some manufacturers don't want us messing with those (in the case where they're biasing something, I believe). I just ask because I don't see any documentation about it anywhere, or anyone else talking about it. Having said that, if we can adjust it, kudos to you for bringing it up!!
Can anyone tell me why pedals dont sound great on my amp? Its a bedroom amp fender champion 20 but everytime i play a pedal it sounds bland. Is it because its a model amp or because its not tubeless?
Don't rely on youtube demo's, most of the time, the pedals will sound different. The amps used play a significant part in the sound. A tube amp that's on the edge of breakup will also sound different than a clean amp with lots of headroom. Volume, also a big part of the sound.... I recently bought a Mythos Chupacabra, that sounds awful through my Marshall MG15 practice amp, but sounds insane through my Marshall Plexi.... Your question is hardly answered now. My 2cents, those small digital practice amps don't react the same on pedals like a tube amp
Ronnie's practically bang on but speaker size also adds another dimension not to mention a lot of the sound is in the players hands . A good player can make even the cheapest gear sound good .
It's probably the speaker and the volume level. Small amps like that need you to put the volume at around half in order to even get the amp to take the full signal of the pedal. I've had this problem with my old orange crush.
Thanks guys. Yeah it does sound a bit better when turned up but it gets too loud. Any ideas of an amp that sounds good at low volumes or are they none existant?
@@naturaljoe7397 struggling to find the bit where I comment on the sound of the fuzz pedal...... Oh, I didn't. I thought you might have read my comment, maybe you haven't lol

Thanks Tom! 🤘🤘
I believe the hoof is a hybrid as well. I think the hoof is more big muff inspired and this is fuzz face inspired.
Hoof is more big muff style inspired. This is like on the spectrum for example of the FoxRox CC Hybrid fuzz (fuzz face style variation)

That thing definitely looks and sounds Rad.
I'd love to know how it compares to the MXR Brown Acid...
Sounds good man

It's my experience that drive pedals sound best through a tube amp.

Sounds good but nearly £200 😮
I almost feel he's never played a fuzz pedal before
It sounds fine, maybe you haven’t lol

Why?
Yet another pedal that will make you sound the same but different...
YOU NEED TO LEARN OUT TO OPERATE A FUZZ PEDAL
