So good, my dude! Do you think maybe you could do some videos about you and your approach to riff writing? Doesn't have to be super in depth, just highlight some favourite chord shapes/riff patterns. Maybe look at a pedalboard you'd build for a gig or something? Keep it up!
Hey thanks! Really appreciate the interest-those are both topics that I'd love to cover and have been wanting to for a while. Time is pretty tight between my day job, demo work and trying to have a life lol, but those are definitely high on my list of "miscellaneous" videos to make.
Loved the intro track. Reminds me a bit of Yellowcard - 'Lift a Sail' era : ) Would love to see you do some tutorials on your playing style - tunings - chords used - and the 'slidey stuff'! Another great demo - thank you!
Thank you! Ha, I am a Yellowcard fan absolutely did not have them in mind here, but I hear what ya mean. Mentioned in another reply but definitely hope to do some vids like that later when I'm able.
Great sounding fuzz. I saw a band a few months ago who's guitarist had the most perfect sounding fuzz. I asked him after the show what it was and it was this Hybrid Fuzz. I need to get one!
It's sounds pretty awesome! Especially with the time effects you were doing at the end! It reminded me of the pigtronic disnortion mini. It's a dual fuzz distortion that's missing the blend ability of the full size in trade for a series\parallel button. In parallel mode, it takes on a similar "broken in a good way" tone similar to the how the Hybrid Fuzz sounds to me. Thank you for doing the video!
Thanks! It definitely has some bite so that's gonna depend largely on your amp and speakers, but I found it pretty nicely balanced with my Creamback/Greenback cab and IRs
What do the guts of this pedal look like? Is it just a 2 transistor fuzz where one of the stages is silicon and the other germanium? Or is it combining two FF circuits into one output, with 4 transistors?
The second riff reminds me very much of the Elliot Smith early Heatmiser era,- like Cop and Speeder. If you write your own songs, Smith is a master of the Post Rock form. The EQD Hoof was one of the first to sucessfully incorporate Si and Ge, but the circuit was more Muff than Fuzz Face. One of the key differences between types is volume knob clean up ability, which the FF and initial Mk.1- 2 Tone Benders were known for. Nice raw tone, but the MXR isnt as dialed in as many contemporaries like the JHS Series 3 or Smiley ,or the OBN Haunt; with Fuzz in general, I've found it's best to stick with the builders that specialize in it.
Killing it!! Another great demo again!

Would 100% be down to see this, love his playing and would really like to break out of my own playing box as well.

Do you recall what band it was?

Thanks for watching! Never played the Disnortion, should check that out sometime
@@ambienttrash5234I'll be on the lookout for a the hybrid now. I want to try it with overdrive going in front
This fuzz is so harsh I love it but that riff is great too ♥

can't tell much from the underside of the PCB but to my knowledge it's a 2-transistor Si/Ge circuit
@@ambienttrash5234 cheers! It's definitely a nice sounding pedal, but it's really bloody expensive
