    Welcome back to San Luis Potosi! Firstly, below are the Airbnb links I mentioned in the video, I would 100% recommend them if you are visiting San Luis Potosi as part of your Mexico trip in 2019!
    ELIZABETH'S AIRBNB IN SAN LUIS POTOSI - www.airbnb.com...
    SAMM'S AIRBNB IN CEDRAL - (ideal for Real de Catorce)
    www.airbnb.com...
    In this video I give you my final and lasting impressions of San Luis Potosi, which in my opinion is one of my favourite states in Mexico after being in the country for a year so far. It has so much to offer including the city itself, Real de Catorce, Huasteca Potosina, AMAZING food including Enchiladas Potosinas, Enchiladas Huastecas and Costanzo Chocolate.
    There is SO much more to do in San Luis Potosi than I covered in my videos, so I intend to return! There's definately much more to Mexico than typical tourist destinations such as Cancun and Puerto Vallarta!
    Check out my Mexico playlists for 3 videos in San Luis itself, Cedral, Real de Catorce and Xilitla!

      My first year anniversary in Mexico City was the first week of February. Seems like yesterday.
      What I remember the most back then during my first month, we're those lavender blossom trees you highlighted in your video.

      It sounds like it's just normal behaviour for Mexicans. I forgot to say in the video that I'm not generalising that all Brits are rude, it's just my experience from 34 years there. Plus it's probably more about my own behaviour, I can be the rudest person ever!!

    Hi David , I'm jealous you are having a great experience traveling in Mexico, love your passion and funny acerbic humor. The double "RR" in any word in Spanish like Barrio is all about how to hold your tongue when saying it. Keep tongue down from its base and raise the tip of it up to front of palate right above the front top teeth, it will get easier with practice. I had really fabulous English teachers when I moved to the USA and that's how they taught me about the tongue placement and vocal movement, including the lips. I hope it helps😚.
    I've been letting the ads run in entirety, does it help you financially? I assume it does. It better!!! ( that's your humour 😉)

    • @gildardoenriquebarajas4540
      @gildardoenriquebarajas4540 5 лет назад

      Forgot to mention that when saying the double RRs to keep tongue flexible so it flows and vibrates.

    • @davidostrowski679
      @davidostrowski679  5 лет назад +1

      the way I learnt to do it was hissing like a cat and moving the tongue forward it worked! I watched so many videos with people talking about tongue placement but it doesn't help. Both Spanish r sounds just don't exist in British English except the soft R in a Liverpool accent, so it's like learning to speak all over again! lol

    • @gildardoenriquebarajas4540
      @gildardoenriquebarajas4540 5 лет назад

      @@davidostrowski679 when I got to the USA , I found it hard to pronounce a word with the sound of two vowels together like : Dough , I used to basically say dog , we don't have that in Spanish but it took the teachers instructions to remedy, now I open the mouth more and keep the tongue flat and touching the lower front teeth instead of making an o mouth shape and lifting the tongue.

    When I visit the UK, people where very open, friendly and giving. It was the same in London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Blackpool, York, Leeds, etc. People even open their homes for free. When people saw me kind of lost, they will aproach and offer help, and often they will walk me until I find what I was looking. You can be surprise of how your country can look from the eyes of an outsider.

    • @davidostrowski679
      @davidostrowski679  5 лет назад +2

      Definately, good point. I think it depends who you are and where you are. For example, in Central London, if I saw someone looking lost (that looked like a tourist), I would 100% help them. But if it was just another Londoner, I probably wouldn't. Similarly, in the outskirts of a city in the UK (where I grew up) it's much less likely people will be helpful, even towards foreigners. Unfortunately (i'm not generalising) there is a lot of racism and prejudice in the UK.
      My comment was probably more a subconscious reflection on my own personal behaviour. I don't mind admitting that I can be quite rude in the UK, it comes from working in Central and East London for years.
      Also, northern UK cities are generally friendlier than London
      Thanks for your comment!

      Hola Veronica! Lo escribí en el comentario fijado. A RUclips le lleva aproximadamente 10 horas generar los subtítulos automáticos en inglés, luego debo corregirlos en inglés antes de traducirlos al español. ¡Toma tiempo! En este momento todavía no están disponibles para que las edite. Normalmente hago subtítulos el día después de subir un video. ¡Desafortunadamente es una de las limitaciones de RUclips!
