* Puente de Dios (Bridge of God)
-Located in the municipality of Tamasopo, a few minutes from the town of the same name, it is one of the most fun destinations of the Huasteca Potosina. A unique place in the world where a dam was formed by nature and a majestic cavern which at certain times of the day, is illuminated. This place will surprise you because its pristine beauty.
* How to get to Puente de Dios
- From Ciudad Valles to Tamasopo it is an hour by car, the road is very safe and there are only two booths. From Rio Verde a little more than an hour is made to Tamasopo. Once in the village there is a sign indicating the way to the community of Cafetal, which is where the access to Puente de Dios is.
If you do not take a car, in the village you can find some yellow taxis that can leave you very close to the access. Taxis are collective.
* Where to stay in Puente de Dios
-If you like to camp, right there in the community the coffee plantation there are land where you can rent a place to lay your tent by night.
-If you prefer a hotel, we stayed in the Hotel el Sótano which is the cheapest in Tamasopo, it's a very basic hotel, with no air conditioning or internet access, but it's fine if you're going to be swimming all day and just want to a place to rest.
-If you need more amenities, such as pool in the hotel, restaurant, internet and more services, the most complete Hotel is the Cosmos, however we did not stay there because there was no space. Then we recommend you book in advance if you plan your visit in holiday periods or on a weekend.
-Tamasopo is a small town, if you do not find accommodation, your best option is to search in Ciudad Valles, there are more hotels and therefore better possibilities to find where to stay, as well as being a strategic place to visit this and other destinations of the Huasteca Potosina.
* What to bring to Puente de Dios
-We wear Water Shoes, we recommend them for all Huasteca Potosina, as they allow you to walk on the rocks of the rivers without hurting.
* Waterfalls of Tamasopo
-Because this is the most accessible destination of the whole Huasteca Potosina, because there is no physical effort to enjoy its waters, that is why the waterfalls of Tamasopo are perfect to enjoy with the whole family.
- You will find restaurants and other activities in the Tamasopo Waterfalls, it is more like a natural spa than anything else. It is a very beautiful place that relaxes you immediately, to pass it calm and rest after having enjoyed Bridge of God.
Usually when you travel to the Huasteca Potosina, these two destinations are visited on the same day, it is advisable to first do the activities of the Bridge of God and then those of Tamasopo, and if you have more time, you can dedicate a day to each one, In the Bridge of God, you can still walk to the water spring and spend the afternoon in the pools that are in the section of Playitas.
Keep in mind that if you visit Puente de Dios from Julio to Spetiembre there is a possibility that you can not go swimming in the blue pool or the cave, but you can enjoy the Waterfalls of Tamasopo all year round.
