It's time for PART 3 of my THREE PART "Return to San Luis" series after visiting this Central Mexican state in February 2019!
This time we plan to visit Parque Tangamanga 2 and Saucito Cementerio, but end up doing a whole lot more such as gatecrashing a wedding and going on the Tranvia Turistico around San Luis for the first time like a proper tourist! It gives you a great bird's eye view of all the things to do in San Luis Potosi and places to vist from churches, parks and more!
Parque Tangamanga 2 is the second Tangamang Park in San Luis and is on the site of the former airport, plus it's home to a racing track. Saucito Cemetery is HUGE, full of graves, tombs and mausoleums of San Luis residents - a hugely important location for Potosinos and Potosinas alike!
Don't forget to check out my San Luis Potosi playlist, with more videos from Xilitla, Cedral and Real de Catorce and more! Next up, Zacatecas!
MUSIC - (all EPIDEMIC SOUND)
"Creeping Under My Skin" - Daniel Gunnarsson (Intro & Outro)
"On The Road 04" - Hakan Eriksson (Tourist bus)
"Take a Little Drive" - Briar Edwards (Tangamanga 2)
"Choir or Modesty" - Cora Zea (Saucito Cemetery)

you are the real Mexico! Thanks for your photo and comments
David, really enjoy your videos and the quality of information and professionalism you bring to them. I have not seen many and my interest is basically Mexico, but I can understand how burnout can happen. I would be pleased to see a new video every 7-10 days, or whatever you comfortably could do. I believe most of us here would agree. It needs to be something that does not become a chore for you. I will miss you very much when you stop doing these, but always remember, David come first. You provide something special in my life that I have not enjoyed since I was 10-11 years old, and that was some 68 years ago. Thank you seems such a small way to tell you how much you are appreciated.
Soy potosina ❤ Que hermoso video!!
You really get into places that no others tourist would 😂 you're amazing mate
(what) jajaja
I must commend you once again for these wonderful videos about San Luis Potosi, a very underrated city. I used to live there from 1993 to 1996 and had such great memories of the place. One of the things that I like about your videos is how you have been shown this nice little corner of Mexico as a vibrant city with a rich culture and history that most foreign tourists don't get to see rather than going to the same overpriced beach resorts.
That beautiful old cemetery was an absolute one of a kind classic.
I agree sir! It reminded me of a cemetery I went to in Sydney, Australia which has many mausoleums for Italian families
Your hat was epic, thank you for showing our traditions,. The day of the dead in the pantheon of the saucito is full of people, flowers, colors and food. I love all your videos, but this one more.
I remember I watched the 2nd? Or 1st? Part of these videos. I never imagined I would be there back in my hometown a week later for my grandmother funeral. And now seeing you at the cemetery just made me emotional. I want to go back. Hopefully soon !
Hi Maria! Sorry to hear your sad news. I couldn't believe how huge than cemetery was! Much love to you and your family!
I'm so pround to be from San Luis Potosi
That country music in the Tour Bus scenes is esquisito! Love to have that.
I would have left it without the music over the top but with my history of having videos blocked in 193 countries for copyright issues I had no choice lol
@@davidostrowski679 Do you have a music source for non-copyright music? I have found some, but not always worth it.
@@PalaminoHills i use epidemic sound, it's always listed in descriptions. $10usd a month
Lovely and interesting city. I enjoyed the cemetery and that gold car.
That car was following me for the whole video!!
swampzoid I used to come and take pictures of the family mausoleums. Those are truly beautiful arquitectural pieces of art, and dating hundreds of years old.
Hermoso video🇲🇽🇲🇽 saludos desde Turquía 🇹🇷
Good to see you again in SLP, I hope you feel welcomed and have a great time in here.
Gracias! I had a great time! I've been in Zacatecas for over a week now so those videos will be coming next! #VivaSLP
you are the best my friend, you are !!
Hi David, I like your videos are very entertaining and informative. I live in Los Angeles, CA and since I started watching your videos they reminded me how beautiful Mexico is. I am American of Mexican parents and I have lived in Mexico but due to circumstances of life I had to return to the United States to live and work here, but seeing your videos remind me how beautiful Mexico is and I feel like coming back for there, good in itself just wanted to say hello and thank you for sharing those beautiful trips you've done there. Greetings and a big hug traveler who goes there and here.
💓Loved the Art Deco market in your previous video! Also, noticed that the black building behind you was Art Deco with an Art Deco door. Lovely. Thank you for !sharing and discovering!👍👌✋
Art deco for life!!
Watching this video again and again. Thank you for this video, you have brought good memories. On one side of this park there are several schools. When I see that park I see a group of 17-year-old boys doing theater, I see an athletic team train every morning and I see a girl reading a book on a tree.
Hello David. ,
Today it was my baby graduation,, to finish the day l come home to watch your videos 🍷
I don't know how to explain ,to follow your journey and share with you the visit to the cemetery Saucito my hard sinks , .... 💔
My Mother and grandparent are buried there and you pass close to them you were there for a reason l can thank you enough ..

Amazing Adriana! It's great so many people seem to appreciate I went there. I love cemetaries, so much history and literally holds the story of San Luis!
@@davidostrowski679 Good afternoon,, My dear David gracias for sharing your journey l had to visit my grandparents,,,

Double like !!! I am living in San Luis Potosí and I am happy because you say San Luis Potosi is an amazing place to visit. Good trip!!👋😁
Gracias Marilu! I'm glad I came back to SLP after the last time! There are many videos in my SLP playlist from back in February if you are new!
It looks like an absolutely fantastic place!!
Indeed it is man! When you coming to Mex?
I hope you enjoyed the ENCHILADAS POTOSINAS ALLWAYS MEXICO IS YOUR HOME 👍
Gracias Jose! LOVE those enchiladas. And also huastecas! I had them in Xilitla. Dios Mio they were perfecto!
San Luis is a very clean and modern city considering its size. I live In Texas but when I retire I would like to move to San Luis
Hi David! Tangamanga II Park has very young vegetation and it will be years before it looks like the other. The tour was very interesting, the cemetery, the trip on the tourist bus, but what caught my attention was the contrast between the neighborhoods of the periphery and what had been seen in other videos. There is a lot of poverty in San Luis and it is painful because there is also a lot of money in other sectors, many people, including children and young people making their living in the streets. I hope your stay in Zacatecas is great, Kisses 😘♥️
I can't believe how big it was. Biggest cemetary EVER!
@@davidostrowski679
There are a very beautiful cementery called valle de los cedros, were rest my grandparents, if you can visit that cementery , is too small compared to saucito but its much beautiful that saucito
Great video hermano so much to see and discover
OMG I'm from slp and seeing that one person from other country comes and show how is slp and all the beautiful places that are here, the culture, obiously we haven't the best economy but we have all the support in our family and so much things making that problems doesn't affect us a lot, finally I love all the good points that you say from San Luis and like I said maybe we haven't the best economy, here's a lot of poornes but is but it's compensated with all the good things that we have
And I feel so proud to be Potosina
You have a new suscriber 💕
(Maybe my english is not the best but I tried jaja)
Hey Fernanda! Your English is much better than my Spanish jaja! Welcome!
Hi David......I love ❤️ your great attitude , even in your worst moments, like when you were in Guanajuato for the first time. I see that you love SLP.....👍. To discover new places and your feelings, regarding those places is great 👍. I wish you the best in your trip throughout México 🇲🇽.......and hope you take the best of it. The heart ❤️ of México and the heart of all the Mexican people you have encounter , is and will be in your heart too. God bless you always my friend. Regards and a big 🤗 to you from Guadalajara. Forgive my terrible English 🙃😬
Kioskos and gazebos are two totally different things in Mexico. A gazebo is usually a lot smaller and are used as structures which offer protection from elements while doing picnic with your family Kioskos on the other hand are larger structures that are used mostly as a stage for musical band or groups or to give speech to a large group of people.
Kioskos are placed mostly at downtown or central locations of a town or city coul be very ornate.
If you're still in San Luis Potosí, or anywhere near by, you should visit Cerro San Pedro. That place is pure magic.
There's also Presa San José in San Luis Potosí, and about 20 km Northeast there's Mexquitic de Carmona.
Greetings from a Danish Gringo, who comes there often.
I'm in Hong Kong lol. I tried to visit San Pedro a few times both times i was in SLP but no bus goes directly unfortunately. Maybe next time!
Aha. Okay, mate.
Let me know, if and when you return. If I'm there at the same time, I'll take you there by car. No problem.
Enjoy your stay in Hong Kong. They have some troubles these days, so be careful.
@@tommyvictorbuch6960 ha trust me i know all about it! Check out the latest video!

Hola Gabriela! It was great to come back there!

Amazing video!! Thank you for sharing it ✈️
Funny you should mention “gem.” I’m aware of San Luis Potosí because I collect some rocks and minerals and I have some great specimens from there.
Great video, David! That tour bus looks like a great way to experience the city. I am looking forward to your videos from another one of my favorite cities: Zacatecas. P.s. You look good in hats
Gracias Antonio! I am in the process of filming Zacatecas videos, they should start being uploaded from Sunday (I hope)

Hi David. Not only am I seeing beautiful Mexico, but i am learning proper English!
You look fine in the hat. It was just too little.
We have those "buses" all over the usa in ohio they are called lolly the trolley. The car looked lime 1951 chevy fleetline with the full 50' s custom treatment, look up gene winfield and you ll see what i mean , he invented the style with the heavy metallic paint and low chopped roof.
Hola!!!
Thanks for the tour
At 3:10 it looks like the mystery machine.
I thought so too!
Come back soon to my city amiguito !!! Big hugs to you! Do you know the history of these buildings you see?
Gracias Annabell! I knew some history from what I read from the last time I was here, but my Spanish listening isn't great so instead of listening to the tour I concentrated on filming! #SLP
Hi David, I just noticed that you uploaded a new video. I have not watched yet, because there showing a 4 minute video commercial before your video starts. I'm letting it finish it, so you can make a buck out of it.
Jaja gracias Jose!!!
Buen video David✌️😁
Gracias Janeth!
Amazing discoveries you can find around the block sometimes. Mexico is like one big bible book, did you know that Mexico is bigger then the whole Europe continent? And to make things clear...I’d say bigger not beautiful...lol - so Formula one fan...I think Hamilton will be champion again, there is no team near close to match Mercedes, Ferrari is pretty much lost and Red Bull is trying to survive with only one good driver. Great video , cemeteries are great places to meet new people Lol - take care bud enjoy your day ...Salud 🍻!!
OMG, there is a terrible typo on the 9:34 tomb. Imagine, typos on your monument. Hizo, no Hiso.
Omg, maybe it's similar to how Americans spell everything wrong with z instead of s. Realise, patronise etc. LOL I'm joking haha

DAVID! As much as I want to see your "take" on Zacatecas, I REALLY don't want to see you leave Mexico! Yes, I know you're a world traveler . . . but doesn't, even, a world traveller have a favorite place . . . a place called "home"? I can't be in Mexico all the time, though I wish I could. I've been ALL OVER the nooks and crannies of all of Baja, to Hermosillo, Guaymas, Chihuahua, Obregon, Zacatecas (extensive visits, twice, with in-laws), Aguascalientes, Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun (courtesy of new in-laws who thought my wife and I should honeymoon in that area, contrary to my personal likes) . . . but never in CDMX till shortly after I started watching your videos. I really want to hear your "take" on Zacatecas, but I really don't want to see you leave Mexico.
CDMX Forever!
Thanks, David, for all you do.
TULSI 2020!
DENYS! Mexico is definately a home, but I have that itch to move on! I've started filming in Zacatecas, videos should start from next weekend!
Have you ever been at cerro de San Pedro? La presa? La media luna? Tamasopo?
No, no, no and no lol. I did videos in Cedral, Xilitla, Ciudad Valles and Real de Catorce. Filming at waterfalls is close to impossible as I can't see without my glasses. I tried San Pedro but there was no direct bus!
Tell me when you can go to Cerro de San Pedro. It Is about 25 min from the Alameda. I drive.
@@grismanbratianu5113 gracias but I'm in Zacatecas!
No tengo auto
Ok.
