Hola amigos! It's time to expand on the point I made in the San Miguel video and talk about the thing no one wants to talk about - Are Mexico content creators clickbaiting viewers by exploiting irrational fears about Mexico in terms of safety and the US Media? What are your thoughts? ¡Hola amigos!
Very big (yuuuge!) topic, which both struck a major chord as well as touched a raw nerve with me on several far-reaching fronts! In a nutshell: (1) YES, certain YTers definitely are spewing a great volume of clickbait with very poor content (a mix of mindless fluff, cheerleading and misleading information) to exploit hostile narratives in US media; (2) very significantly, however, these remain current because the #1 source of news is Trump, who has falsely branded Mexico as drug dealers, criminals, rapists, etc repeatedly since mid-2015 while immigration remains one of the hottest topics in the US. Trump also continues to lie about trade, tariffs, the wall, jobs, manufacturing and more re Mexico. Thus the real question re many Americans as gullible and/or stupid really is about why they continue to believe Trump re Mexico (and many other topics), when he has made 10,000+ false/misleading statements since he became President? These two points are intertwined, as certain YTers exploit the polarized situation about Mexico in the US and have decided to make a business out of clickbait videos, with sponsorship playing a decisive role (more subs, more vids, more clicks, then more sponsorship $). So with this model, the quality/integrity of the YT content is virtually irrelevant -- so we get lots of false/misleading stuff (in addition to useless fluff/filler and cheerleading). You have opened a Pandora's box, and it's all rather insidious (I suspect much more than you realize). Thanks so much for raising the lid on this, just the tip of the iceberg on some very hot topics both for the integrity of YT vids and US politics re Mexico.
Hello... Mexican here... Love your videos, David. I just wanted to add something. I have relatives in the U.S., and have traveled there more times than I can count. My relatives really believe all these negative news about Mexico and they swallow everything, hook line, and sinker. They won't even believe me, their own personal Mexican who actually lives in the country and who has a front row view of things. I must say that this is hurtful and a little insulting. Anyhow, while I agree that some you tubers just want to draw attention to their videos with "Is Mexico Safe?" type of titles, I really must say that they do more good than harm. They actually are adventurous enough to go through all the uncertainty to document their journey through Mexico. They show people their experiences and the places they visit. Any people who are watching the videos have had the seed sown into their consciousness, and they may be thinking: "that looks nice; doesn't look THAT dangerous"; maybe I could go there someday..." I wouldn't say that Americans are stupid. They are just ignorant (not in a bad way; bear with me). The brain, like the stomach, can handle only so much input before calling it quits, and asking for time to rest to digest the information. There is an informational overload in the U.S. with 24 hour news, social media, and tabloid magazines screaming tawdry headlines from supermarket checkout lines. The U.S. is also isolated geographically. Great distances, language barriers, and easier ways to get around, really discourage people from traveling abroad, thus perpetuating their blissful ignorance. Even on the border, people have no idea what's going on on the other side unless they are Hispanic and have relatives and/or interest in Mexico. And those are my two cents. Hope it helps...
@@memoliscom9853 Bravo sir, well said! Additionally, as an English teacher, I love your use of vocab - insidious indeed! That word absolutley sums it up and I wish I had used it in the video! It really concerns me when I see RUclipsrs talking about their 'community' (ie the one they never talk to in terms of responding to comments etc) when in reality their behaviour is indeed rather sinister. It's all about exploitation in my eyes. An example is a RUclipsr I know complaining he has no money for a new laptop, raising money from viewers, then goes out and buys a DJI Mavic drone! This is the reality of RUclips unfortunately, and sometimes I feel this 'shocked' mindset does the opposite of what is intended - and that it actually does more damage to Mexico's reputation than good!
Thanks for been super cool and honest. This is Mexico and is you'r home too. Thanks for everyting and help us to clean our opinión about my country . THANKS
Gracias por tu sinceridad, que desafortunadamente es poco usual en todos lados, además de en You Tube. Personalmente, creo que tus afirmaciones son certeras.
Just came back from Mexico City and its my new favourite place! It was totally safe, I saw police on every other block! There are plenty of people out and about all day every day and I always felt safe. I can't wait to go back. 😊
Lol that's a big lie stop making stuff out how much do you get paid to lie to people.... How can you justify over 30,000 deaths since the new president took office
Your words are very true. I have some close work companions who have those negative perceptions about Mexico and Latin America. Sad for them. I miss Guanajuato and Baja California. all the time. And I live in Los Angeles, California. Cheers Mate o !Salud!
I was in Guanajuato City 2 weeks ago for a week and felt safe each day I was there. The people were super nice, I am from the states California to be exact.I have also been to Tijuana, Rosarito and Puerto Nuevo and also felt safe. I can't wait to go back! Love your video's💖
My first video that I watch for your chanel was the one you did with Erin, now let me tell you just earned another subscriber. Love your transparencies, i being in Mexico 3 time and i love it love the people there so friendly and respectful. I was born and raised in the Dominican republic, leaving in the state for the last 20 years, but Mexico always fascinate me. About people here in the state there missing out a lot, i think sometimes Mexico is better than here in many aspects and that's one of the reasons of bad propaganda,is in here there don't one any one to be better than them. There is so much violence and hatred here ,people are always angry, over there i always see people with a smile. Thanks so much for creating the beautiful and clean contents you created, for me is so nice when i want to travel with my eyes through chanel like yours and i see the beautiful places you go in Mexico. God bless you. And keep it up.
Americans are - think the word is Ethnocentric . We are isolated from the rest of world partly because the country is huge and people are afraid of what lies beyond its borders. Americans are scared and easily manipulated with the unknown. Europeans are more interactive with people from different countries who speak different languages. It's tiring really.
hi david well said matey, i believe a lot of americans and other nationalities are ignorant not only of mexico but of most counties,,,very self centred, those people that do travel know different.. totally agree about the media,,
Hi David. Love the content keep it Real. My wife and I are off to Mexico for 5 months and even we've had Friends and Family here in the UK raise concerns about our safety. We got the same reaction when we went to Romania BUT what friendly and great people the Romanians were. We can't wait to get to Mexico.
Hey Paul! I know what you mean, I still get some Brits confused as to why I'm in Mexico and whether I'm joining a cartel! Great to hear from another Brit!
Brilliant thanks for this David, We will be visiting Mexico this year for work and pleasure. Absolutely love the raw truth in all your videos!! Cant for for the next leg of the Tao of David!!
Most people think that media doesn't influence their view of "reality". But the truth is that people's beliefs get shifted bit by bit, by repeated small "news snippets" that they're exposed to everyday.
I watch youtube for 2 reasons: esape after a boring day at work (total entertainment) and to learn which cities I would like to visit someday. I have learned a lot that way. I do not watch youtubers that post in English that have the same content everytime, just different locations. They are using a formula that works for them to continue to make money, but I don't really care for that type of video. There's some great youtubers that post in Spanish about places to visit. I don't understand a word they say, but I enjoy watching their content. It's more about place time than face time. Thanks for all the good information you posted while you were in Mexico, David.
Liz! Place time v face time. This speaks volumes! That's exactly why this year I have put more b-roll footage over shots of me speaking and turned the camera around while walking and talking. People want to see the destination!
Thanks Dave for sharing your thoughts about other youtubers. I think you saw the Tangerine travelers who made sensational thumbnails. I have to say that I totally dislike their videos and their overall approach. In the contrary I truly enjoy your videos because you really speak your mind and that honesty is part of your own mark as a travel blogger. Regards from a Mexican in Ireland 🇮🇪
Sheilawisz Irlanda 🇮🇪 is a beautiful country and the Irish are super friendly people. It is cold most of the year though, no great for those who love sunny days. But it’s beautiful nevertheless. Highly recommend it to visit here. 😊
It's lack of education and ignorance. There was a time when Americans had a different view of Mexico. Acapulco is a perfect example of a place where Americans flocked to in the 1950s and 1960s. Frank Sinatra sang songs about Mexico. There's so much history between the United States and Mexico. Most Americans today are ignorant about the history. I encourage everyone to google photos of the parade on Reforma in CDMX for President John F. Kennedy back in the early 1960s. México is a beautiful country and if you choose not to visit because of the media or certain politicians views, well you're missing out. Thanks so much for this video David. You always tell it like it is and I respect that.
Yes and no. On the one hand, you have all the people who have their minds all made up about Mexico because of what they see in the news. I don't like those people. On the other hand, there are more Americans than ever living in Mexico nowadays. One of my neighbors got Mexican citizenship, and I might apply for it in 5 years now that I'm a residente permanente. I'm not sure that the average Brit is so knowledgeable about Mexico -- probably sees the news about cartel-related deaths on the BBC and thinks that the entire country is a warzone.
You're right Stephen, it's either not covered at all or exactly what you said, only the negative is covered and yes there are absolutely Brits who are equally as ignorant. I forgot to mention this in the video!
Thanks for shedding light on this! I'm from the U. S. but have lots of family in MX. I had a trip planned for summer 2017 and we canceled days before because of the others we were traveling with. They listened and bought into the U.S. media outlets on the "violence" going on in the area we were going to visit. Long story short: my bf and I went to San Luis Potosi last summer and traveled through and stopped in 5-6 small towns to visit the cascadas in La Huasteca. It was my first time in MX since I was 9, but I felt safe and enjoyed our entire trip. Not once did I feel threatened by anyone and ACTUALLY everyone I came into contact with was so friendly and willing to help with directions.
Be real even if people dont like what you say, at least your real. When you are truthful, you force people to look at themselves and sometimes people dont want to do that.I live in the United States and some people like to believe what they see in mainstream media instead of researching and deciding for themselves. Keep being truthful. I love this channel for it.
HI David! I am mexican, I live in San Luis Potosi and I watch your videos, because I love your honest reactions to food, people and the general things that come with traveling in Mexico. I appreciate your comment, not because I am mexican and I want to defend my country but because it is time people stop complaining about the same cliches over and over again. I have traveled a bit myself and I had realized that other countries also have insecurity problems, poverty, homeless people, polution and what not. But I have been able to see past that and appreciate the peculiarities of each place, those things that make them special and different and I think you are doing just that. So thank you. Keep enjoying Mexico!!!
Yep .. what you’re describing happens w RUclipsrs in other countries as well . I see it all over the Philippines travel vlog sphere . Those reaction / clickbaity titles also get locals to respond in a prideful manner . Either way it works for them and gets clicks / replies . I even used to do it occasionally truth be told 😂😂 I’m getting married in San Luis on dec 28 !
Yep i've seen the Philippines ones! My eyes roll back so far in my head i can see the wall behind me. I know it works, but I'd take morals over a million subs any day! I saw a wedding in SLP the other day, amazing old American car! Early congrats!
Preach brah!!! You have the cajones of a toro bravo! I have thought about making a similar video. But with my measly following, at this point, I would have little to no impact. Your reach has much more bang for the buck. Well done!
Thank You! I am from the US and lived in MX for a decade before moving back to The States to be with ailing family. I look forward to returning to Mexico for my retirement, just a few years away. You are right about many RUclipsrs who frequently abuse the system with clickbait. I so appreciate honest Creators who take pride in their product. Again...thank you!
I lived in Puerto Vallarta, but would not consider moving back...too many Americans. I'm fairly certain I'll move to cd. Guanajuato. I'm a writer and feel I would be happy and in my element in this beautiful colonial town. Although it's actually a thriving city, cd. Gto has a small-town feel due to the traffic directed underground. The University culture is attractive to me and I look forward to converting to 100% Spanish. I practice by speaking to my cat in Spanish. LOL! I'm not interested in joining an expat community and expect to embrace the next chapter in my life with total immersion. I love Mexico! Thanks for asking.
David, I really love your videos. You sound really sincere when you talk about Mexico. Thanks for sharing your opinion and experience while in Mexico. I know that Mexico is far from being perfect for a lot of people, but for me, it’s so f.... perfect! ¡Saludos desde Tlaquepaque, Jalisco!
Wow !!! This is exactly what all people need to hear about Mexico 🇲🇽 I’m an America who lives in Southern California and often hear from the media how dangerous is and my responsibility always “not anymore than America “ I find the views of Mexico to be completely false and racist. Thank you for bringing up this issue ! Great Job !
I always knew that I am not a very smart person, an sometimes I get my knowledge from older people. Once one told me this : “ If you fallow a donkey you become a donkey or if you listen a politician you become...well you find out” the only times I listen to the news is about the weather but don’t trust them so much, even when they put so much clouds ⛅️ around the map. Anyway my Amigo...don’t think to much...Relax, and enjoy more of life...cause you are in Mexico!! Cheers 🥂!
There's this one channel that pops up in my recommendations, that have been in Mexico for years now and they still make clickbaity videos with titles about how surprised they are or some "crazy" thing that happened.
@@davidostrowski679 David, you are a very smart guy (with high ethics)... If seemingly meaningless trips to OXXO appear in many videos, the vlogger always buys OXXO coffee (even takes it to the beach, by name of course!), he gets an OXXO branded (prominently) Styrofoam container to take to the beach loaded with 14 cheap (the worst) beers for only two people (noting the 12+2 OXXO promo), AND the thumbnail for the beach video as well as for the playlist for 200+ (poor content) videos about that one city features the OXXO logo... What does that tell you?? Hint: Product placement. Companies pay for that -- a lot more than the nominal ad revenue from YT views!! More subscribers (legit or *fake as in purchased*) and more clickbait vids = justification for more sponsorship/product placement $ obviously. Why do you have great content with 12K subs vs pitiful content with 140K subs (not to mention 20 vs 400+ Patreon backers)? It's all much more insidious than I think you realize, with significant political and financial forces at work. Just sayin'...
David i didn't have the courage to speak with you, i saw you twice in San luis potosi. I saw you actually in the same place, i walk on constitution streed to my clínica where i do practics, there was where i saw you :/.
Part of the American media issue is twofold: 1) most Americans have a high trust of their institutions which includes the media so unfortunately they relax their critical thinking and don't question; 2) they don't have a different reference point since they don't travel outside of the US to see for themselves.
I try not to watch those negative videos about Mexico, nevertheless make comments defending my home country. If I would do that, those youtubers would get money and i don't want to support that kind of media. Thank you for being honest!
I'm obsessed with ArtDeco architecture, as well- I lived and worked 5 years in Europe and started buying antique furniture without knowing it was Art Deco. Returned to America with only my Art Deco lamps. The rest of my beautiful furniture had to be sold.... so sad... I honestly think that my past life was in the Art Deco Era. Even when I lived in Mexico City in the 70s, I remember I had a tremendous connection with the interior of Bellas Artes. I felt it was my style. How strange, right?
LOVE IT. I think it was when I was in Hilo on the Big Island in Hawaii that I fell in love with it. Saw some great art deco in San Luis last week! I used to work in the Hoover Building in London. Amazing art deco!
Hello David!! So happy to see you 🙋♀️ Keep being you done worry about anybody just enjoy your self, your freedom to travel around 🌎 People are just 🤦♀️ And thank you, David 🌺
I’m schtoopid.... LOL Te adoro! I absolutely love how genuine and honest you are. Thank you for your videos! You’re spot on about how some you tubers don’t interact in the comments, when I see that, I immediately stop viewing that person’s content. I feel like why would I waste my time if you don’t give a damn about it anyway. I must admit, as I am from the US, I did have a certain image in my mind the first time I travelled to México to meet my now husband. Once I arrived however, i immediately fell in love with México and it’s people and everything else about it. I’ve returned many times (my husband is still there thanks to the garbage US government and their immigration bullshit) and it truly has become my second home. Every time the plane touches down, I literally feel like I’m coming home after being away for so long. One day, I plan to make México my permanent home. Thank you again for all of your wonderful videos. I’m so looking forward to your future adventures regardless of where they may land you geographically. ¡Un abrazo súper fuerte!
You're a legend Jim! Nightmare about the immigration issue, at least you're relatively close and a short flight away. Maybe I need a Mexican husband. As long as he doesn't make me wear jeans in 100F heat jaja
What you are speaking is truth! I will hopefully be moving to Culiacan soon. What is portrayed vs reality is a night and day difference. So much emphasis is placed on the Sinaloa Cartel. This forced me to learn so much, from real people, that in return, I truly feel safe with that. I never understood this.. Many Americans are so desensitized to our own hellish crimes, then turn around and judge another country for theirs. I honestly feel that a lot of politics are involved when safety warnings are issued. Thank You For Sharing Sir!
As a mexican, I was actually surprised to hear that you had an idea of Mexico's diversity. We are soooo used to uneducated Americans not knowing about this, that is easy to assume that the same happens in other countries. Thank you for your honest and candid comments. Keep it up!
Hey Norma! I always knew about things like Aztec and Mayan history for example (mainly due to going to Belize years ago) as well as food. I think a lot of it is about age and travel experience (40 in 3 years). I would never turn up in a country with a preconceived idea, maybe I would have 15 years ago for example. Thanks for watching!
I am moving to Queretaro, Mexico on November 2. I have always kept a Chicago, Oak Park as my bases, but I did live in Acapulco as a second home. The earthquakes and hurricanes were the deal breakers. Acapulco will always be the most beautiful city, that I have ever visited, and the people were super nice. USA was the most dangerous for me, and I was born here in 1942, and have been to all 50 states and around the world, on my own dime. It is better to give, than to receive, and my ancestors told me never beg for money, but WORK and help non beggars help themselves. Thank you so much for your intelligent videos.
I totally agree with you David and you know that there are youtubers that are genuine as Erin and you and others, but there are definetly a lot others who make a living from gulible people. Mexico is a really cool country and youll see how modern and diferent Monterrey is when you get here. Like you said before you are now part mexican.
I'm looking forward to Monterrey amigo! This is exactly I am very selective about 'collabs'. I would only ever do one with someone who is genuine. Like Erin is!
Great video man... i'm from Mexico, currently living in the US, from my experience living in different countries around the world i can tell you Mexico is one of the coolest countries in the world, amazing people, amazing food, and amazing places to visit.. and lets not forget about how fun of a place it is.. VIVA MEXICO!!!
Thank you for being an honest, principled RUclipsr. My family and I really enjoy watching your videos, especially the ones pertaining to Mexico City. Regarding your denunciation of the British news media - I would imagine entertainment media isn't any better - I was wondering if there are any independent news outlets that you'd recommend. Currently, my primary British news sources are BBC, the Guardian, and the Independent. Here in the US, I know which media companies to avoid or read/watch with cautious distrust. But when it comes to UK media, I could use some recommendations.
Excelente coment my friend. Some youtubers think , that they can lie without we, the viewers, noticed, but, believe me we do. Saludos from California 👍👍🇲🇽🇲🇽👍👍
Thank you for your honesty! This is why I subscribe to you. I have visited Mexico for the past twenty years, along with my family. Mexico is a very diverse country but always very welcoming. We've had great family trips there and will continue to visit.
I'm Mexican living abroad and thanks to the news I'm always afraid to go to México. I go twice a year and it's been pretty safe so far, but I can't help it
Well, it depends! There are plenty of safe cities and peaceful towns in Mexico, but definitely there are areas that should be avoided, too. Greetings from Pachuca Hidalgo!
You are absolutely right my friend, i think is about time to put a stop on this topic about mexico being safe or not (at least 4 chanels came to my mind right now that basically thats what they do) am glad you have the baĺls to say it as it is! as we said in mexico: no tienes pelos en la lengua : )
I agree with your remarks about safety in Mexico. I, with and without my family have been coming to Mexico for 40 plus years. Mostly CDMX, Veracruz( city) and Merida. We have never been subject to a criminal act. I think the safety vs crime question needs to discussed in two camps. First is the crime that can take place in any city at any give time. For this I say don't dress like you shop on Bond Street and use some common street smarts. With that said, "shit happens". The second camp is, you should never need to worry about getting killed etc,, (unless innocent bystander) if you're not involved in !drugs, weapons or human trafficking, smuggling etc. I really enjoy your videos. They meet my intellectual needs and more than entertainment. Thanks David
Yes! I am also tired of seeing those titles even from latin americans "I didnt expect this from Mexico!" like really!? Theyre the one to talk.... I dont watch or click them i only eye roll them now.
PersonalIy see them and sometimes where the person is literally offensive in their reactions and comments( offensive for believing that we are stupid), I do not even finish watching the video. The people who really want to know Mexico mention the subject in their videos and then they dedicate themselves to enjoy what they are getting to know, those are worth seeing in the way that Mexico marvels them with what it has to offer, and also say what dislike them. This kind of youtubers (liars) are forgotten and you do not return to their channel. I like your videos because you are honest, and you say what you think despite everything. Kisses ❤️😘
You bring up some good points that should be discussed. Personally i think it's due to a number of things. No doubt many vloggers use others lack of knowledge of Mexico and their fears as clickbait. Hopefully some are genuinely surprised at something they find in a part of Mexico they are seeing for the first time. And as an American i must admit it's not just Mexico. The first question the average person would ask about going just about anywhere is "Is it safe?" The more youtubbers go on and on about the safety issue of a place, the more we worry and question whether to go there. They know this, and may misuse it as you say. Maybe if they just documented the scenery, people, experiences of a place we viewers would relax and see it in a different light. I'm annoyed by such questions in general. Mexico is a big place. Is the US safe? Depends. Is Chicago safe? I feel perfectly safe in some of the city at any time. In other parts i feel safe only at certain times and under certain conditions. And there are some parts i wouldn't feel safe in any case, so i don't go there. What I'm getting at is if a city is so complex, there's no point in discussing whether an entire country is safe or not.
Absolutely bill, thanks for your detailed opinion. I agree on your point, the more we go on about safety, I think it just encourages more fear! I certainly won't be mentioning it again. Drawing a line in the sand!
good video David you right some youtober lying putting fake title of videos only to get more views to make more money I know you not like that also I like your videos because you travel around Mexico and you need money to show new places anywhere you go ..you doing great job David 👍👏👏👏
Gracias Marko! I can't believe how people can be so stupid to believe clickbait titles. They have to use clickbait to make up for poor filming and editing and generally poor content!
Nunca me he perdido de casa. ¡No hay un problema con el cambio de comida ni nada, ya que dejé el Reino Unido en 2016!
All right, David! Thanks for telling it like it is. Insightful, Gen X perspectives are so needed and welcome. Enough of the political correctness pansies. Thanks for visiting my country! Hope to see you visiting us again sometime in the near future. Cheers. 🇲🇽 🇬🇧
Hola Checo! Political correctness, I don't have time for that! I'm in Zacatecas and Monterrey until mid June before I move on BUT I plan to be back in Mex for Dia de los Muertos again and Navidad!
You are hilarious! And right! Unfortunately we do have a lot of people in America who don’t educate themselves and they do listen to the media. Those RUclipsrs are “catering” to that target of viewer who are clueless. They are just vetting Likes! It is an old and tired topic!
Well yeah there are good and bad places in country in everywhere in the world. I don't believe even as a US citizen that you should say a place or country is bad without going to see it and meet the people for yourself. I personally don't like people who want to say bad things about other places and people they have never been before. I want to travel to the places and meet the people for myself so I can have a good idea of the cultures and communities and the people. I don't trust them to even give me details about the weather because, chances are they aren't going to get that right either.
I have the answer why American's have the views they do about many subjects. 1. Over medication (by our medical networks) 2. Lack of education (by the state) 3. Refuse to actually question shat and just blindly follow. Tah dah! Answers revealed from an actual American with a brain. :)

And those are my two cents. Hope it helps...

THANKS
You're welcome Enrique, thanks for watching amigo! #vivamexico

Hey Keisha! I love your name! I was in Tijuana 14 years ago! There's definately something about GTO!!
Yeah, I woke up there once. It was Nice.

YASSSSS LAURA OTRO ABUELITA!
You just summed it up perfectly dude. Saying that, many Brits are the same and shy away from mainland Europeans. Bloody Brexit!
Very well said ~ swampzoid😈
That's exactly right. And it's only getting worse these days with the political shit going on up there.
hi david well said matey, i believe a lot of americans and other nationalities are ignorant not only of mexico but of most counties,,,very self centred, those people that do travel know different.. totally agree about the media,,
Saludos mexicanos 🇲🇽❤️
Congratulations for this video, my favorite youtuber, always so honest and brave.
Dude you're the best, gracias!
Brilliant thanks for this David, We will be visiting Mexico this year for work and pleasure.
Absolutely love the raw truth in all your videos!! Cant for for the next leg of the Tao of David!!
Awesome! Where are you heading to?
Excellent Job. Your honesty is the reason i follow you. Thanks
Thanks man, you're the best!
Most people think that media doesn't influence their view of "reality". But the truth is that people's beliefs get shifted bit by bit, by repeated small "news snippets" that they're exposed to everyday.
All I can tell you David, is that your honesty shows, without even saying a word. Thanks for keeping it real.
Meanwhile here in the states, we have had over 30 school shootings this year alone. Something to think about.
Definately amigo
Ireland? That's great, I want to visit Ireland someday! Do you like Ireland? In what part of the country do you live?
Hola Elizabeth! Thanks for your support! I've never been to Ireland!
Sheilawisz Irlanda 🇮🇪 is a beautiful country and the Irish are super friendly people. It is cold most of the year though, no great for those who love sunny days. But it’s beautiful nevertheless. Highly recommend it to visit here. 😊
@@elisalgado3205 Thank you! You should go to visit the Wicklow Mountains, I have seen very beautiful pictures of that part of Ireland.
This is why I can't stomach Tangerine Travels. Synthetic click bait crap.
Hola David. Thanks for keeping it real again. Love you. Tami from California.
Hey Tami!
Thanks for your support Sue!

I'm a writer and feel I would be happy and in my element in this beautiful colonial town. Although it's actually a thriving city, cd. @@davidostrowski679 😂😂😂😂😂 you are killing me!
@@lauraguerra6450 #neverforgetoaxaca

Never been to Chiapas! Not yet anyway!! Thanks man
Part of the American media issue is twofold: 1) most Americans have a high trust of their institutions which includes the media so unfortunately
they relax their critical thinking and don't question; 2) they don't have a different reference point since they don't travel outside of the US to see for themselves.
I try not to watch those negative videos about Mexico, nevertheless make comments defending my home country. If I would do that, those youtubers would get money and i don't want to support that kind of media.
Thank you for being honest!
Thanks for the video , was waiting for a video like this for a while.

I must admit, as I am from the US, I did have a certain image in my mind the first time I travelled to México to meet my now husband. Once I arrived however, i immediately fell in love with México and it’s people and everything else about it. I’ve returned many times (my husband is still there thanks to the garbage US government and their immigration bullshit) and it truly has become my second home.

LOVE IT! It's absolutely time to stop. Anyone with half a brain who has been anywhere in Mexico knows the truth.

Kisses ❤️😘
Thanks as always Martha! xxx
Great video! I'm going to Mexico City in a couple of weeks and can't wait to get there.
Drawing a line in the sand!
you made my day as a Mexican I am! Loved it!
