aaa Mendel! I just spent the last hour binge watching your videos. I absolutely love your personality, your riffs and your sound. You've been uploading videos for so so so long and I respect that so much. Your production and guitar skills are top notch. Would you ever make a video like this about your death and darkness drum sound? A rundown of your processing and sample choice would be amazing. Keep up the amazing content
Man, I'd give anything to get a preset. I see other people have requested as well. Would you be willing to share the outstanding work you've done? Please? Pretty please?
@@Mendelian that's one of my favorite albums all time. Invocation is actually the song I was thinking of when I was referencing long artsy riffs. I love riffs like that.
Hi Mendel. I noticed that you have Superior Drummer. Do you always tweak your drums or do you use some/most of the factory setting in there? And... Do you always mix your drums in SD or do you bounce it sometimes and use raw tracks for mix in Cubase?
I never use the presets, not because they’re not good (because they are) but i like to begin from scratch listening how the drums fit with the bass and guitars. Regarding mixing i’d say i mix it in Cubase most of the time with external plugins. In this video i did it all “in the SD3 box” to showcase all you need is there.
@@Mendelian Thanks :) I do have SD3 as well and could never decide if to go easy way and use SD presets/mix in SD or (finally learn how to) mix the whole lot in Cubase.
It's weird that I've basically copied every settings (what I can see from the video) but it doesn't sound close to that. Especially the Kick and the Snare.
Love the kicks and snares but that crash is horrid. For me it ruins the whole sound. I find all the Ez drummer and Superior cymbals and crashes are awful sounding. I have very accurate monitors and don't usually get ear fatigue but 2 minutes of those crashes and I have to turn it off lol. They are not as bed in the final mix but still they need a lot of eq and the effects are not good in EZ Drummer. Nice work by the way. Sounds killer and not trying to bash toontrack. I have been using it for years abut those cymbals lol
It’s horses for courses, I find these sounds a lot more inspiring personally than GGD as these are geared more to music that is a bit rougher round the edges, feel like GGD has a lot more of that bedroom guitarist “prog” super polished kind of vibe. Both great products that speak to different audiences and different tastes
GGD libraries are really polished, it's pretty good if you're after the drum tones of Periphery, Plini, David Maxim Micic, Interval or Nick Johnston etc. This one is pretty good too but it won't work for that type of sound, it's good for styles like The Dillinger Escape Plan, East of the Wall, The Human Abstract etc.

I certainly do :)! I do mixing and mastering full time. Send me an email to mbdlproductions@gmail.com (MBDL)

Thanks for your video.Where is a video with modern metal presets browser view and sounds at 175 bpm ??
Great! I kinda missed the reverb in the original EZX, so adding it either in Cubase or Superior Drummer is pretty good!

0:40 I'm a sucker for those long artsy, melodic riffs with a bunch of different stuff in them. That one makes me wonder, do you listen to Ihsahn?
Only know The Adversary! Love it.

What song is this!?!? So siiiiick! If you haven't officially made this a song yet, you most definitely should!
It’s in the works!
Amazing work man!Thanks
How can one get a stereo double kick sound? Is it possible? This software seems really short-sighted without that. Am I crazy?
What do you mean with stereo kick sound? You mean to oh/room mics? This pack definitely has that!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
awesome!
Hey man this is one of the best presets I've ever hear. Would You mind sharing it please?
Cool, thank you!

Sick as fuck mate!

I listen to the demos on the toontrack site for this ezx and it doesn't sound good tbh🤮 I put my money on GGD easily
