I subscribe if you answer my question; what is the pourcentage of you using in your band (live and studio) 6 string guitar and the percentage of 7 string guitars thank you
Hi Ola! I´m sorry, but I couldn´t really understand the aim of this tutorial... Was this a sort of a guide of how to mix drums tracks, or was it a sort of a guide of how to build a digital drums track from scratch, with the help of individual drums components sounds?
I LOVE that you allow us to buy the raw tracks. Not many bands do that, but it should common place in my view. So much can be learned from just having the raws. That's why I get your special edition that comes with them everytime you release such an edition.
I especially see the benefit in doing this for home recording people who may have cheap sounding drum kits or play on mesh drum heads for low volume in apartments and such. This way you can still capture the playing of a real human drummer while getting a better sounding kit in the recording. Good video Ola!
Amazing! That absolutely rocks Ola. I'm going to try it on my album. My raw drum tracks are killer but I could use some extra punch on the toms. This is exactly what I need. Thanks buddy. Love your show by the way.
great video - at 3:42 - we want to swap snare / kick / toms on an original track, how to get tracker to create separate tracks and then link those tracks to a SD3 preset?
Ola, what is your opinion on stainless steel frets? And would you consider putting them on any of your Solar guitars? It's the only spec missing from them imo.
Hi, Ola. Great Channel! Just a drummer`s tip: Roland td-50 with superior drummer 3 is awesome. -Absolutely the best solution for e-drums still in 2020. For live playing and recording , this combo is the best in the business. -Also using it live with sound-engineers having the day of their lives; - No bleed , you can play really loud aat any venue without it becoming messy. And finally I dont have to use blastix or some other horror-tool that sounds ass. In fact, the whole band is vst, only mic on the stage is for the vocalist....;) Sounds amazing in the PA AND in our ears.
Great overview of triging in SD3! I'm getting it later this year ... but before Toontrack abandon SD2 on new years eve. It doesn't stop working, of course, but you know hehe ... it's always better to be aboard the train.
Thanks man! I got superior Drummer 3, haven't really used it yet. If I want pre-programmed drum tracks, I've been using EZ Drummer, in my home studio on stuff I record by myself. But I'm recording a CD with a band now, and I wanna replace the drum tracks. It's great that SD3 has a tool built in to do that! And pretty easy to delete the little douchebags! I had to deal with those one other time when I replaced drums, using a different software. It can be annoying to hear false triggers still in there.
awesome, thanks !!! before importing audio tracks into Superior Drummer, do I need to edit the tracks? or is there a function in superior drummer that allows you to do this ?
Hey Ola please put St Anger through the superior drummer 3 program. Would be interesting to here what it sounds like with good production or any other album that may think has a piss poor drum sound. Thanks, from Manchester 🇬🇧
So Ola, when you're finished with the whole process of importing pre-recorded live drum captures, adding drum samples to triggered heads and such, mixing and frankly fucking around until you literally have your dream sound, you can export the whole thing out to bandmates/ engineer in full midi? like even if you did it like you and just triggered the drums and used overheads to capture the cymbals? everything gets converted and sent in midi?
Hello there, nice video! I was wonder if you could point what could help regarding latency from edrums to what, we hear after a note is played, I mean with better ram or better cpu, or soundcard, will make the latency dissappear? Where does latency using this software comes from.. Or give us a guideline how to determine on a pc where the latency coming from.. Thank you in advance.
Hey, Ola. OK, do you have the opportunity and the desire to tell, how to make the guitar sound through plug-ins maximum similar to a warm tube sound? I've tried a lot of options and still getting shit.
How does the bleed from the overheads work if your live kit is tuned different than the SD3 drums? Like if my drummer doesn’t have the best tuned kit and we mic it up record it and keep the cymbals and over heads like you just did. Will it sill sound ok? Also can it detect a stereo drum track? I want to buy this but money is so tight I just want to do my research
The Raw kick and snare sound pretty good to me! What mic’s did you use to get that sound?...I guess with a little Eq and compression you don’t need the superior 3 plugin...but it is a cool feature to replace with samples
Hey Ola, You are such a great guitar player, i just have a wish one day to see you playing in a band with a vocalist that use in a majority a clean agressive voice like (not equal), for example phill Anselmo in the era of vulgar display of power, i think you guys would break the scale, no doubt about it. Its just my opinion i hope you dont take it for bad. Stay well brother!!
I definitely get Glen Fricker's point about using a real drummer if you have one who can track for you. However, this is still a real drummer's performance with the same timing and velocity, but the track cleaned up and the gear changed out. As such, I wonder if he'd be as opposed to it as he normally would be for purely programmed drums.
Gief Fishman Fluence pickup comparison video. Utöver de vanliga varianterna så finns ju en hel drös olika signaturmickar och jag hittar ingen bra video som jämför mer än typ två olika varianter. Hockey bockey och rock n roll!
That's what I want to know, say if I put a whole Slayer song in would it ignore the guitars, bass and vocals and still somehow come up with separate drum tracks. Did you find out?
So....If I was a drum hit in SP3 I'd surely be one of those small little douchebag worthless in life kinda hits, and that's ok. I'm completely OK with that. But I digress. Thank you for a most excellent explanation of what was covered in this fantastic video. Exactly what I needed to see and hear.
It went over my head when you went from tracker to midi to mixer you went so fast the only thing I can see if out of the 6 tracks I exported I can't get them all showing in the mixer but I have 8 channel meters lighting up when only hearing the kick.
SLUBSCRIBW!
I don't speak Swedish :( What does this mean?
I subscribe if you answer my question; what is the pourcentage of you using in your band (live and studio) 6 string guitar and the percentage of 7 string guitars thank you

No U!!!!!!!!! :p

Consider signing up for Nail The Mix via Ultimate Recording Machine. You got complete raw multitracks from a given artist every month
I especially see the benefit in doing this for home recording people who may have cheap sounding drum kits or play on mesh drum heads for low volume in apartments and such. This way you can still capture the playing of a real human drummer while getting a better sounding kit in the recording. Good video Ola!
SD3 is a game changer in all aspects for sure!!!!
Dont make me call Glenn
Why the audio of this video is low?
This is pretty amazing. Great way to thicken up the sound quickly.
Ola, you're the man, that's why I subscribed. Best tutorial/demo, thank you!!!!! Gonna get Superior D 3 now!
Oh boy, Fricker is gonna be oh so triggered about this
Its ironic considering i think Ola's production sounds way better than Frickers.
trigger me timbers
@@killercour i agree but his production is REAL!
Amazing! That absolutely rocks Ola. I'm going to try it on my album. My raw drum tracks are killer but I could use some extra punch on the toms. This is exactly what I need. Thanks buddy. Love your show by the way.
I've been putting off upgrading to 3.0, I've been on 2.whatever for years now... I'm sold
Came for the the production thing. Ended up in Feared's spotify.
0:15 Some people talk with their hands, Ola screams with his.

OLA FOR PRESIDENT !!!! thank you for this video!!!!!!!!!!

I do this in Cubase quite a lot, often with live gig recordings I'll spice up the kick and snare a bit by blending them with superior samples.
When Ola in a Pantera shirt says “let’s go for... Texas metal” 😹 didn’t see that coming did ya!
Great overview of triging in SD3! I'm getting it later this year ... but before Toontrack abandon SD2 on new years eve. It doesn't stop working, of course, but you know hehe ... it's always better to be aboard the train.
im stoked with it man!its sickkkkkk!\m/
this are the best stand up comedy in music production xD saludos desde Costa Rica!
Can I extract the multi drum tracks from a single track (Song) on this software?
This was great!
I have raw tracks of Feared since long time ! because, I'm a big fan ! :p
Superior 3 is brilliant, started using it a few months ago and haven't looked back.
Your video was very helpful. Thank You ! Metal from Oklahoma !
Very interesting video for audio geekz as myself.
What a cool tool! Can you export all the midi drums back out as individual wav forms again? meaning multi track it back out but not MIDI
hey Ola what do you use for your choir/orchestra sounds? It sounds badass to have tha in the background.
Is it just me or is the Volume in this video low in comparison to others?
Love this video.
9:45, Lars? Is that you!?

Excellent review as usual, master
Hello Ola big fan here from Portugal keep it up! 🤘
Thanks for this, very informative. How does this work with cymbals? I assume you’ll have to mic each cymbal separately?
Excellent use of your hands .
Yep, you can export a midi file after you're done tracking. You can include all instruments tracked or just a select few.
Sounds evil and badass. Cooooool👹
Where can I find all that presets Ola is loading at 04:30?
Buy the add-ons. :)
I know nothing about drums but I have to drop a like and a comment for your humor :)
Awesome!
Hey, Ola. OK, do you have the opportunity and the desire to tell, how to make the guitar sound through plug-ins maximum similar to a warm tube sound? I've tried a lot of options and still getting shit.
once you have triggered all your hits what do you do with the tracks then ? do you leave them in the sd3 or export them to seperate tracks ?
Deter mines everywhere. Swat a fly, will you. Grym video. Skön humor.

Raw feared tracks??! Oh hells yeah. Imma fuck with that.
Can we match any tone of drums (ex: Criss, Starr, Bonham) ????
This video was quite quiet. At least your voice and the music. Soundeffects were really loud.
Can i do this on superior drummer 2??
Hola Ola, what software do you use to show us your desk and the camera take, all in one picture? Lov u (:
I'm starting to feel the hand gestures are hypnotising me......
Master?
Hey Ola,
You are such a great guitar player, i just have a wish one day to see you playing in a band with a vocalist that use in a majority a clean agressive voice like (not equal), for example phill Anselmo in the era of vulgar display of power, i think you guys would break the scale, no doubt about it. Hola! Ola - he da man!
Cool stuff.... way over my head, ( I only have EZDrummer2 )but cool....
Ola brother is there a link to the drum pack?
is there any way that thing can be done on the ezdrummer ?
I wonder why you went for Texas metal...
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm? Wha? Who could that be?
Hello! Dude, where did you got the french subtitles?
Can it work with a full beat stereo file ???
If we didn't want our ears to explode we wouldn't be watching this video!
Kevin Talley is a monster!
can you do this with ezdrummer ?

is that champ shade bully?
sd3 is the best ! tnx
Do ezDrummer can do the same thing?
Syberian drummer
4:31 when Ola turns pewdiepie 😆
What DAW is this?
Was there already a trigger on the kick in the raw drum tracks?
Yes. They aren't mixed, but they're not "raw" unfinished tracks either.
lol ola waveeeee bro\m/ smash it out!
can i do this with ez drummer?
You are fucking crazy....I love it :D
Btw, I just upgraded from SD2 to SD 3 \m/
Downloading Library right now...
How accurate is the phase alignment of the triggered audio to the real?
what about the ghost notes that wont hit threshold bro?
Gief Fishman Fluence pickup comparison video. Utöver de vanliga varianterna så finns ju en hel drös olika signaturmickar och jag hittar ingen bra video som jämför mer än typ två olika varianter. Hockey bockey och rock n roll!
Great vid!
Hey Ola, what's the most evil sounding band you have ever heard?
Remember when this used to take all day for one track?
The SD3 drum samples all seem so light. Like the drummer is hitting really softly, even at the highest velocities. It's kinda weird!
did you find away round this
So I guess you really don't need good mics. Just clear close mic recordings, right?
cool vst fpc the fl studio 20.
This Triggered me.
Intellidjent
Ola!
What if you only have 1 mixed drum track and don't have all the separate tracks?
That's what I want to know, say if I put a whole Slayer song in would it ignore the guitars, bass and vocals and still somehow come up with separate drum tracks. Did you find out?
can ya turn up your recording gain just a lil so we can hear ya a lil bit better Ola. much love, thanks for your videos!
New meme of ola scrolling eyes around incoming.
Great F_______ken Video Dude!!! Thumbs up and SMASHED the LIKE and SUBSCRIBED!!!!!!! Peace

Is it just me or is the audio really quiet on this video?
Subeerior drummer. I'm in.
"Just a small little douchebag that's worthless"
That's exactly how you should talk to blips in MIDI
Your hand gestures are intimidating
