- A step-by-step video on how to make hospital corners on your bed. Learn how to fold the tightest hospital corner with your flat sheet. Achieving a luxury hotel inspired bed is just a few steps away!
Step 1: With your fitted sheet already on the mattress, lay the flat sheet on top with it hanging evenly on both sides of the bed.
Step 2: Start at one corner at the foot of the bed. Slightly lift the mattress and tuck hanging fabric along the foot of the bed.
Step 3: Grab hold of the excess fabric. Lift it up and place on top of the mattress. The edge of the sheet should form a 45-degree angle.
Step 4: Hold the fabric forming a 45-degree angle in place. Tuck in hanging fabric along the side of the mattress and let the sheet fall.
Step 5: Adjust the edge of the sheet to the corner of the mattress and tuck in.
Step 6: Repeat steps 2 through 5 on the remaining corner.

Wow im so productive during this lockdown
haha
😂
Damn, the fact this comment is two years old is a testament to how long this has been going on.
Not one of these videos shows where on the side of the sheet edge do they grab it before pullling it up at an angle. You can kind of see it, but you'd think they'd take their time and explain.
Literally. I’ve watched so many and all the important bits are either not shown, shown from a weird angle or way too fast.
thanks. dad is coming home from hospital soon and this is how mum makes the bed. she's at work for now and she did explain all this to me but i thought i knew best and ignored it! hopefully this will save me haha
😂
Thank you perfect for modern platform type beds.
Thank You. 'Queen Of The South' tv program got me interested in making 'Hospital Corners.'
My DI would have throat punched me if my corners looked like that.
Thank you for your service XD
I was thinking the same...
I know, right!?! It wasn’t as tidy as it should be, at all!
My mom does this and it seems to work. My sheets have been coming off and now it's getting colder I had to do something. My bed is against the wall which makes this little tricky. We shall see how my first attempt works.
How did it go
How did it go

Thank you!
Not a real hospital corner. This is the lazy way. Should bea sharp corner at a 45° angle.
Yep you are military
@@smithy1578 and correct. As much work, better results.
Exactly!!!!! I totally agree with your every word! It was very tacky/untidy!

Great, thanks!
Wow it's so super 👌👌
thanks!!
How get triangle?
I may be the only one saying this, but I'm having trouble doing the "triangle" at 00:11. I wish the camera didn't cut off when the perspective changed. Otherwise good video. Just need to practice.
This would not fly in the Canadian Armed Forces this is so sloppy
It wouldn't fly anywhere (even in the air force!)
@Crane & Canopy, This wasn’t neat, though! It could’ve been much neater. You should spend more time straightening out all that was bunched up before tucking the sheet under. When you angle 📐and separate the piece that is gonna be tucked under, you should ensure that there is no rippling in the rest of the sheet, or else it will look tacky and untidy as shown in your video.
Shut up Karen
I agree. I also have been taught that the corner must be shaped like a triangle and obviously no wrinkles considering the pressure injuries they may cause but this is only for hospital conditions. This person is just doing it as a home thing so it does not have to be neat
@@johnauvaa8854 they aren't a Karen, just giving constructive criticism. A thing that most people can't take because they get offended by everything now.
See that's nice but I always wondered how ppl got into bed when its so tight..
You loosen the end closer to the head and slide in. To get out, you sit up and pull yourself out by the bedposts.
That lets you get out while disturbing the blanket as little as possible. Good for when you don’t want a DI shouting at you to fix your overturned rack.
I always just took them off and then made the bed in the morning. So when I wanted to wake up to go to the toilet instead of being stuck in the bed I would get out of bed and trip over them on the floor.
@@handlesarecringe957 How stupid that is! Everyone has a right to sleep however the fuck they want! Just fuck that DI, whoever he is!
@@handlesarecringe957 I didnt know there was any other way to make a bed 😂
@@svetlankam8223 In military boot camps, you maybe have all of one minute to make your bed. So you either get real good at doing it quickly or you sleep in a way that doesn't disturb the bed.
Welp i will keep using my sheets with a band.
I use with band and without 😳
My Satin Sheets are IMMUNE to Hospital Corners....
Is there a SECRET I dont know?
Use cotton? lol
Yes, give up because hospital corners ar annoying
Maybe try those sheet strap things that keep fitted sheets on the bed?
No! Completely wrong no wrinkles and you hold the piece under the flap until pulled down to tuck! Don’t drop sheet this loses the 45 degree angle you’re looking for!!!
That's a sloppy corner..the sheet needs to be taunt.
*taut
Too much work, i'll save my back and use fitted sheet.
But fitted sheets never fit a high mattress , ever . I gave up on fitted sheets so now it's flat sheets
This video is terrible.
There isn't even a 45. Wtf this is wrong
This video is worse than nothing!!!!!
