If it wraps around you can use pins as well. Theres a double headed pin secured in a flat piece of plastic so the box spring remains level and pins don't get lost!

My mother was a nurse. She taught me hospital corners when I was 5 (in 1969). I'm happy to say I haven't had to do these since the late 70s.

How do you keep the box spring cover from moving around? That's my problem :(
They make clips with elastic for fitted sheets to attach to the corners! Not sure if your box spring cover is designed similarly
