    Serves 2
    1 cup masoor dal soaked in water for 20 mins (rinse it well)
    Heat pressure cooker, add 1-2 tbsp ghee, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp chopped garlic. Saute for a minute or two, then add in 1 finely chopped onion and saute till translucent. Then add in 2 slit green chillies, 1 tomato & 1 tsp salt. Let the tomatoes cook & get mushy, they will release oil, then add in the masalas. 1 tsp haldi, 1 tsp dhaniya powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder & a pinch of hing. Mix well & add little water so that masalas cook & dont get burnt. Add in the dal after 2-3 mins and 2 cups water. (dal 1 cup, water 2 cups - 1:2 ratio) and coriander leaves. Close the pressure cooker lid & cook for 4-5 whistles on low flame. Masoor dal is now ready to serve!
