a few things i noticed. i forgot to check the bottom mark when removing the belt. the water pump did you replace it with a metal fin instead of the plastic because they are 100 percent better? did you check the hoses coming off the water pump? other then that Great job. like the videos. i had 3 vw sciroccos 16v and 2 where turbo charged by me. also had a 16v B3 passat.
Yessir, a new timing belt and water pump with metal fins is pretty much my routine with any new vehicle I get. I’ve personally seen too many catastrophic failures due to the stupid plastic pumps. I fully flushed the cooling system while the assembly was out to clear any debris since it’s been sitting so long. I look forward to getting this thing up and running soon
