      I dont like the direction toyota has gone either. Loved toyota since I was a kid. Even in my 20s and 30s wanted a tundra so bad but they didnt offer a rear locker or a hd truck. Last year I owned 4 new toyotas 22 tacoma trd off road, 23 4 runner, 21 rav 4 (daugthers) and a 23 minivan (helped my dad buy). then all this stuff started. we saw what was coming for 24. I still have the 4 runner and my dad still has the minivan. But I wont buy another toyota until they get sorted.

  • @jonesjones7057
    @jonesjones7057 Месяц назад +2

    But, it IS a problem when Toyota has to detune an engine and/or, adjust shift points, to avoid transmission failure. There is no way to sugar coat this; detuning and adjusting shift points to avoid catastrophic failures, is a bandaid to make up for transmissions that are under-built. There is no reserve strength. These things are running at 100%. NO one, absolutely nowhere else in engineering, do you see anything pushed to 100% with no reserve.
    It would be like building a sky scraper and if someone brought a bottle of water up to the top floor, the whole building would collapse. 12 ounces and goodbye. 8hp, goodbye. Its ridiculous.

    Bro it’s the torque’s fault that 2.4 is an Fn monster it rips trannies and drive shafts and twists tires in their wheels, after all Toyota gave us what we wanted and we couldn’t handle the power.
    Replacing anything on a new vehicle is a confidence crusher. Plus I’d be worried about workmanship, overworked Toyota techs doing warranty work.

    Hey Jason did you make a video on the 2024 Jeep Wrangler? 55 complaints thus far...4 times as high as the Tacoma. You seem to "Like" and "Heart" all the comments that are anti Toyota...so obviously you are a Toyota Hater. Your job as a RUclips influencer is to be as objective as possible and not seek sensationalism and clicks to line your pocket.

    • @Jason-Samko
      @Jason-Samko  Месяц назад +1

      @NOTSoGoodHikers I did. And the complaints are minor. And I rip on stellantis all the time and I rip on ford all the time. But of course you only focus on the toyota rips. Toyota gives me the facts I present them as info to educate buyers. Plain and simple call toyota and tell them to stop messing up and I will no longer have content to rip on them with and will then just keep ripping on all other brands
      But all that said, you are correct, right now, I am a toyota hater! And that's not my fault. I owned 4 new toyoras a year ago. Now only one. I have always loved toyota. I do not anymore. Toyora failed me and everyone else.

      @Jason-Samko  Месяц назад +1

      @NOTSoGoodHikers I promise you this. I will make videos on and rip on any brand that screws customers, makes mistakes or cheats customers. I have zero brand loyalty. I've owned 37 new trucks from every single brand (except nissan, never owned one). I have zero loyalty to anyone other than you and the other viewers. And helping them know what's happening with today's trucks. And I get way more views talking about the good stuff on trucks than I do ripping on them. So I'd mich rather make amazing videos raving about toyota. They would make me more money. Look at my frontier videos the good ones make me so.e solid views way more than ripping on toyota. But to do that I need toyota to step up and do better. Right now toyota is filling my news feed with problems. Next week that might be ford, or gm or stellantis. My obly loyalty or care is for you the viewer getting the information to help you make the best purchase decision. That will never change regardless of who I'm ripping on at the moment.

    I3 reported transmission problems out of 69,437 Toyota Tacoma sales in the first half of the year ending June 2024 is minuscule. This amounts to 0.0001% (1/100 of one percent) of Tacoma vehicles sold during this period. It's great that you are trying to advise people on what to do if they have transmission problems; however, the likelihood that they will is almost null. Hoping you are NOT making these videos only to get views because it only creates fear amongst Tacoma owners and alienates your channel.
