Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

Kevin looks like he's trying so hard not to beat tf out of jimmy
he is honestly shocked
Of course he would.
Saul Goodman is a stereotypical jew lawyer.
And notorious antisemite, Kevin Wachtell doesn't take kindle to a money grabber. lol
Fun fact: Wachtel means Quail in german.
And what did the nasis have as their mascot symbol again?
That's reick, the Reics Adler.
The plot thickens..........lmao XD
That's because he is very anti-Semitic.
OY VEYY
Then he would felany Jimmy
Somehow, despite this episode literally being about how this case turned into a fight between Jimmy and Kim, I miss these times. Because this episode is way more light-hearted than the recent episodes.

Fr
I mean yeah the later episodes are heavier but they’re just consequences of what happened in the past. This episode in question literally ends with Kim embracing crime and pushing forward in her toxic relationship with Jimmy because it’s fun. What goes up must come down.
It's also because it comes nearer breaking bad
Fr
Nice to see two Kevins having man to man conversation in a parking garage.
those who know, know 😂
Haha he does look like Kevin Costner!
Hahahaha
"you can open your eyes now" when kevin didn't close them is pretty funny
Was looking him dead in his eye at the time too
Still can't believe Huell ate Kim. Last night's episode was wild
So that's why..
Reasonably
I ALWAYS wondered why Huell had bathroom problems in Breaking Bad and now we finally found out why.
He's been digesting Kim this whole entire time!! Vrabo Bince!
Wait, Vrabo is MY name, in that case, just Bravo Vince.
Could you please explain that? I don't understand. Thanks.
He was reasonably hungry
$245k and two public pre-written statements.
Pretty light for a bank.
Funny thing: Kevin remembered Jimmy’s number after watching that commercial few times.
Five thousand years and it never ends!
My favorite part of all this is that Saul has the opportunity here to ride this opportunity all the way to the bank and probably squeeze out a ton more cash for himself, but his biggest concerns are the people that were genuinely negatively affected by this business, and even though they were his clients, he still showed every penny of his price in getting the end his clients deserved.
you know he gets 15 percent from the 200k and the 45k right?
It’s never really been about the money for Jimmy, the thrill of the con is what tickles his fancy.
its true, in his time collecting hundreds of thousands of dollars in these early Saul years...what does he use money for? He never scraps his car!! He has a modest apartment with Kim. Maybe he's saving up for that absurd house for he and Kim, but....that might be the only thing he targets with his money. After he dives into true Saul form, after he loses everything...then he splurges on a mansion and absurd luxury, for certain things. @@rememberitsajourney
@@rememberitsajourney But also he does love the money 🤣
@@rememberitsajourney100% what it was, finally someone said it lol
Saul s creativity is next level
This show is such a ride, I'm guessing the next 3 episodes are gonna be in breaking bad timeline and final episode is a full gene episode
I'm so excited for episode 10 now
Ep 10 will be BrBa timeline (except for the cold open, which is Gene timeline)
Which means we'll get 3 full-Gene episodes! Woohoo!
Ya. I was wondering how the three timelines(Jimmy/Saul/Gene) would overlap. Jimmy's story in many ways is now over. Now it's about bridging Saul to Gene and then seeing where Gene's story ends.
@@RockSmithStudio well they did a damn good job
XD
Here we have the CEO of a huge bank and financing institution with the top of the line lawyers at his disposal getting cornered by some lawyer with a dinky office inside a nail salon.
People like to sleep on Jimmy and say that Kim is the best lawyer, but if it ever came down to it, in an artificial simulation, I'm sure asf that Jimmy could play so dirty around Kim that the moment she thinks she's got him, she's had... Though Jimmy would never do that, Jimmy doesn't like to make good people suffer...
@@mezmezzy1870 Howard would argue with that last point.
@@ThyBigCheddar you may say karma never got to Jimmy as fast as when he decided (even if coersed in a way by Kim - with unspoken threat of breakup) to actually harm someone who wasn't deserving it. Breaking Howard Hammlin, however Jimmy wants to believe it was only a small setback for Howard, is the first trully bad thing Jimmy does in the show, and in the end it costs him almost everything he valued.
@@ThyBigCheddar Everyone in the BCS universe would argue for Kim and against Jimmy lol. She has like this shield of deferring all that bad stuff other people would attribute to her, to be attributed instead to Jimmy. So yeah, obviously Howard would argue against Jimmy and be none the wiser that it was Kim that set him up to it. Because in case you forgot, Jimmy tried to call it off long ago, Kimmy just gave him the finger guns.
@@mezmezzy1870What. I'm staying that the quote "Jimmy doesn't make good people suffer" is wrong. He made Howard suffer. He made the old lady suffer for sandpiper. It's not about morality, it's about benefit.
Man Vince loves those low wide angles. Taking a thing or two from Kubrick ALOT.
You know Vince Gilligan doesn't direct all the episodes...
@@Arkenway yeah, wasn't there at least 7 directors? Rhea and Giancarlo took a turn as well. 😄
*Michael Morris
The actor playing Kevin was hilarious when Jimmy played the commercials.
Kevin meets Jimmy on level 8 of the parking garage.
It is not curious that level 8 of Dante's Inferno is precisely "Fraud"
bravo vince
I’m pretty sure he’s Jimmy still at this point, not really Saul until the latest episode id say
He’s undoubtedly _being_ Saul here, but you’re right to say that ‘Saul’ hasn’t yet metastasized to his entire personality at this point
@@adinosaurwithaflamethrower1227 is this a metastasis reference?
Kevin just wants to shower with Jimmy.
I will miss this show so much 🙂
Sure gonna miss this show. I hope they tie it up nicely here with the last 4 to go
I can imagine a world where Jimmy and Kim are living happily ever after together
MAKE IT HAPPEN VINCE!!!!
(You can open your eyes now!!)
This ain’t that type of show bro.
@@lalolbc maybe, maybe not. I guess we'll find out in a few weeks.
But I do believe their paths will cross again even if they're not "together" as before. Jimmy will find peace knowing Kim has moved on to a new life.
Bittersweet & befitting, Saul had the perfect ending
Well, I'd say they both got the best kind of ending they could hope for.
Bravo Zince
Jimmy must've practiced that speech so many times ...
Nope, lawyers scheme and know what they want way before anything begins to be said. Kevin meeting Jimmy in the parking lot shows how desperate he is and the power is on Jimmy's side...
I know it's a show and all but to sayu it's a recited speech is just plain wrong, he's a charismatic devil is Saul.
After watching Fun and Games, I really feel sad for Kim Wexler even if she was right. I hope Jimmy and Kim put everything behind and end up living together. Happy and peaceful.
This is the moment where Kevin Watchtell had to settle with Saul Goodman.
🤣 this is the moment Kevin Costner built a field for famous ghost ppl ✌️
The never-before-seen joke
Working through the pain
Slept on episode by many, it's in top 5 for me, it was so entertaining
The banker accusing someone else of being capable of crossing any line for money... Right.
Was anybody else expecting Kevin to punch Jimmy here?
Come on, you should've added the part where Kevin musically recites the number.
yeah!
Saul vs the system!!
Cinematography was completely underrated in this project and in Breaking Bad. It was so superior, there are no words to duplicate what the eyes saw and the brain couldn't translate.
The years of preparing the stage all for Huell to plunge in and end the strongest female character story arc in any recent show. :(
Mans gotta eat
Jimmy owns Kevin.
Saul made Kevin an offer he'd never accept.
What I find interesting about this scene is that Jimmy calls him "Kevin" telling us that his name actually is Kevin. Bravo Vince!
1:02 not sure if it's a reference but made me Immediately think of Walt when he asks Tuco for 50 Gs.
That’s actually nearly verbatim. Lol. I guess it’s inevitable when you have the same writers. Some dialogue will end up sounding the similar.
because of their conversation, you can tell that they are talking
You can open your eyes now!!! 😆
I like how they even went to the effort to explain why the Mesa Verde bank in Breaking Bad didn't have a logo, because presumably they would rather give up their iconic logo than be forced to continue to pay money to the photographer. Such a minute detail that most people wouldn't even remember, but they actually managed to work it in as a plot point, genius.
Lionel Hutz: "Kevin can you close your eyes and imagine a world without lawyers?"
Well we know where those commercial goes
A miracle that he didn't disappear Jimmy
Chaotic good
I've always wanted to see Kevin say to Jimmy something like "I don't understand what the hell Kim saw on you"
Funny how Walter was with mesa verde, I wonder what Kevin thought about Walter being in their records after the events of breaking bad
there was no Mesa Verde in Breaking Bad
@@jotarokujo5132 bro has never watched breaking bad
@@dylanroemmele906 there was a Mesa credit union sign, it has nothing to do with the bank in BCS.

It it just me or the colors of every scene in Season 6 seem more dead than on the previous seasons?
Not the only thing that’s dead in Season 6
So we just not gonna talk about last night’s episode? 😥
Huell ate kim 😦
@@user-ex7yq6xq9s mmm yummy feet
I know the chance of them being back together is ZERO. Kim is probably having her new husband with kids and living a good life right now but man, I hope they see each other again one last time (or maybe many times after that). Hope Jimmy can make things right with her, absolving Howard and Chuck and redeem himself.
Saul and Kim never divorced
@@hamish4889 I think they did off screen. Saul mentioned in Br Ba that he had 3 ex-wives. Plus Kim wouldn't accept not having a divorce.
Kids? Kim's like 40+.
why do we presume Kim is living some fairy-tale life? She was as much responsible for Howard's doom as Jimmy was. She just got out of the game earlier
She is not, she doesn't deserve a good ending. She's as guilty as Jimmy, Vince would never give her a perfect good ending because he's a competent writer.
I can’t believe this brilliant show is almost finished and will be gone forever way too soon☮️🖖🦇
this was saul at his top, Shaking down the owner of a Banking Corp in a carpark.
"To hell with this; I'm going back to Miami."
The last time Jimmy used his powers for good.
Spoiler comment:
I feel like Kim had her own version of "I watched Jane die" in S6 E9.
If I was Kevin I wld hv said, "Sure I can imagine that world, as long as you can imagine a world where you receive no commission from either deal"
I still can’t get over how awful Jimmy/Kim are. Everything they did to Chuck in order to get Kevin as a client for this? They’re not grateful to anyone. Not Howard, Kevin, Rich, Chuck. It’s all a big game to them
As Chuck said ”chimp with a machine gun”, people may hate it but looks like he was true.
Eminent domain is my pet peeve so I'm mostly on the side of Jimmy for this one, even though his tactics are despicable.
Did Kevin end up settling with jimmy?
I was asking myself the same thing for months. Apprerently they did even though there is no "official" statement within the show.
Kim mentions later in this or another episode, that kevin thinks the handshake between him and jimmy means something, implying they agreed on it.
@@walladimthanks so much for the reply!
@@conorrheayes he definitely ended up settling, had Kevin not settled it would’ve practically destroyed his joke of a company
Alternate video title: Kevin Wachtell vs Kevin Kostner
5000 years and its still the same
It’s funny cause I don’t think Kevin actually settled. In BB, Walter withdraws the money for the RV from “Mesa Credit Union.” With this scene in mind it’s safe to say Mesa Verde went to trial and lost. Lost their name and logo. The Greatest Lawyer Ever.
Or it could’ve been just the name of one of their branches abbreviated.
WHAT that's a crazy catch damb never knew that
I don't think so. He definitely settled.
That would explain the massive house with equal amounts of expensive and tasteless that Saul owns. I mean, sure he would use the Sandpiper money to do so but I believe it wouldn't be enough
9 deadly sins
Number 8 Fraud.
