      You got the swing comparison backwards. Even Tiger admits that there were only two individuals that truly owned their swings and he , Tiger wasn’t one of them. Ben Hogan and Moe Norman. So it’s Tiger compared to Hogan not Hogan compared to Tiger.

    I see and hear alot of ignorant comments, fundamentals,that's what Ben Hogan did,execute fundamentals,load,sit, release.
    You don't have to see the shot,Ben Hogan hit fairways and greens,at a rate never seen before or after.
    The reason Hogan won majors at the % he did be was because the more pressure you put on a good swing,the better it gets.
    Hogan played the last four years with no major veins in his legs,it took two hours to wrap his legs,he won 6 Majors during that stretch.

    • @kevinprentice3113
      @kevinprentice3113 5 месяцев назад +3

      Mickey Wright was a student of Alex Morrison. Henry Picard was also a Morrison student. Hogan dedicated his first book Power Golf to his friend Henry Picard. They played a ton of golf together and it was Picard that told Hogan he should weaken his left hand on the club. Picard was semi retired from the tour and Head Pro at Hershey country Club. Picard's Asst Pro at Hershey was Jack Grout....Jack Nicklaus' teacher. Ergo.... Grout learned from both Picard and Alex Morrison. The principles of Alex Morrison was then passed on to Jack Nicklaus. When Picard left Hershey Country Club He told the board that they needed to hire Ben Hogan as their head golf professional. They didn't want to do it because Hogan at the time wasn't a big enough name but ultimately he got the job. Finally..... Alex Morrison wrote a book in 1932 called A New Way to Better Golf. It was the best seller. The same principles in 1932 that helped Jack Nicklaus are still valid today.

    I swear I have no idea why anyone in this day and age would go back to Hogan. First off he's all hands by necessity after the accident and no one teaches a hands move anymore, then there's all the crazy timing moves. There's about a hundred and they're all crazy idiosyncratic, because he's still got the buggy-whip hickory action in there and had to figure out how to do that with a lead pipe.

    • @jadonmakilam4378
      @jadonmakilam4378 Год назад

      Is the hand move like a supination of the hand or the hinge? I used to swing plane, which force me to time the club head when dropping my hands. When I see hogan, I see a little over the top love, not excessive but a minor one. So I switched to an inside out swing and got consistent. What I said before was my experience. I assume people go back to hogan because he explains the basic fundamentals of golf in my opinion in an easy way to understand. Some coaches can have that teaching or they can provide many factors to the swing. As well as RUclips golf is mostly confusing. With drills trying once and not working, Hogan explains the swing simply.

That means I know what I'm doing.
      And I'm telling you a few things here:
      1. Nobody gets good from watching RUclips videos
      2. Hogan didn't write any of that, ghostwriters did
      3. Hogan didn't have the slightest idea what supination or pronation was, he dropped out of the 12th grade in 1929
      4. I don't guess about what some rando thinks he's doing and what he's really doing, couldn't give a shit
