How do you deal with the constant “unexpected error” pop up message? It keeps coming up, 2-5 times, before it settles down and allows me to play for time.
I would wait for Lenovo to update software. I’m having issues with dead zones and coming from the ally the portrait screen looks weird in some games. The Go made me appreciate my ally much more.
@@ElDoN262 in some ways yes, especially with Armoury crate just feeling way more polished and useful than legion space, but considering most issues are just software being kinda wonky atleast for me, improvements can be made and there’s definitely potential for a much better experience in the long run.
I wouldn't.. Tbe Legion Go discharges even when playing plugged in something the Rog Ally doesn't.. Imagine getting 30 mins into a game and having to stop playing to charge your device even when it's plugged in
When u have the controllers attached the game recognize as a controller and gives an aim assist? And if it’s detached the game recognizes as a mouse and keyboard? Thank you in advance!
Returned my Ally TWICE. This video makes the one game I want to play on these handheld PCs look like so much more fun! Also, I still flinch like an idiot when I play FPS, so having the controllers detached will save me from moving the screen haha

Yes you can connect whatever controllers you already use/own. The game does run smooth and at high frames on low settings. Not a constant 120 but you can get 80+ fps.

I prefer a traditional mouse. Also if you’ve ever used a windows PC, uninstalling games works the same way. Hope you enjoy your device once it gets to you!
I want to get one of these because I’m a truck driver and I wanna game on my downtime on the road, but would my 5g hotspot off of my iPhone be suffice enough to run mw3 zombies?
OTR driver, just recently got off the road to avoid low pay during snow & ice slowdowns. The Lenovo Legion Go is perfect for truck drivers; it immediately replaced my gaming laptop. Yes, you can easily play with Hotspot; it's even faster than the intentionally slowed down WiFi you get from travel centers. AT&T automatically gives you 3GB Hotspot with their basic unlimited plan (it's enough Hotspot for online gaming, only upgrade to 50GB if you're going to be downloading games). Lastly, when I was on the road, I purchased a "Inmotion V11" it's an electric unicycle I kept on the passenger side. I would save a lot of time at travel centers, shippers, and receivers. A lot of times, I would beat most drivers to the first come, first serve check in office, and that would have me back on the road asap. Goodluck!

@@jameslester4811 I do have the 1TB version. Deadzones, the most I could do right now is set them all the way to zero in the game settings and in steam controller settings. They’re still pretty bad even on 0 (mainly when scoping in/ sniping) Hopefully they are working on an update to further fine tune the deadzones.
Playing mw3 in bed or whilst on the bog is the reason why these handhelds will sell well. I’m debating the exact same thing you are and I suspect I’ll cave in and get this real soon😂
I'm so curious about this device. I travel alot around the world for work and live in hotels. I just got access to GFN ultimate and I like it a lot on my macbook pro m2 when I have good internet. I've yet to try it on a hotel wifi, but I doubt it will be a good experience, haha. That's why I'm looking into something like this. Where I'm not as reliant of a stable and fast internet connection. All I want is something I can easily play Rocket League and The Finals on. The only games i currently play. I'm very picky on FPS and need to have at least 120, maybe 100 is enough, but I've gotten used to xbox series x with my LG C2. So 60 fps etc feels so horrible in a fast reaction type of game :( Has anyone tested the two games i mentioned? How is the FPS if i set everything on low? I really care about performance and not so much how beautiful the games are. Atleast not those kinds of games 😅
The finals is locked at 60fps on Xbox and this thing can run it past 60fps with low settings. Depending on the game you can definitely reach high frame’s especially with low settings and FSR. If you plan on docking the system however, don’t expect performance levels and graphics to be as high. You can definitely hit 60 or higher while docked depending on the game but for FPS games docked, expect atleasts 60. Where this system and its performance shines is on the tablet itself with its 144hz screen while playing in tabletop or handheld mode. If you’re super serious about frames and competing, a laptop might make more sense for you but if you actually want a high end handheld experience this is definitely a great option.

@@OgHazeKiller562 I only play FPS mode on occasion for fun. Not something I’m trying to master or make my main way of playing it’s just fun to try it sometimes and challenge myself. I do have a glass mousepad now and it works better for fps mode than a cloth pad.
For MNK it’s great. At this point in time controller input (mainly for the sticks) was pretty mid because of deadzone issues (deadzones couldn’t be lowered on the systems’ controller settings. But after a recent update they allow us to lower deadzones. That combined with all the other deadzone settings in game and on Steam, it is a great experience that allows you to play with better accuracy and match your reaction time a lot better. I notice that on the higher frame rates it feels like any delays are far more minimal thanks to the 144hz display. Overall it’s a great experience you can get accustomed to and I don’t find myself thinking about input delay while playing.

@jajackson-bo2tc not yet, I've wanted to pull the trigger... but as the msi claw is due soon I've held off, but between the ally and go is tough. I prefer the form factor of the ally, but the overheating sd issues and smaller battery put me off. The legion go I don't think I'd use the fps mode as I want it to game whilst in the living room with the Mrs while she watches TV. The weight of the go concerns me. I have been to a few currys to see if I can actually see the ally and go In person and feel the weight but they have no demo units
imo, this kinda competitive fps game works better with WSAD keyboard and mouse. Mouse camera/target movement will be much faster and accurate instead with a stick. For example if you have to turn around / turn back quickly. That kind of joystick mode like LeGo has must have works better for a flight game which is kinda rare for today
In my honeymoon phase with the legion go right now. Ask me again in a couple of weeks lol. Both are great though depending on what you’re looking for in a handheld device.
Ngl that looks gimmicky as hell.. All I play is COD and I wouldn't use that for any competitive gaming.. That shouldn't be a plus over the Ally if it's awkward 🤷♂️.. I would Bluetooth my Xbox elite controller which negates the gimmicky joysticks
How much you like the gimmick or care about it is up to you and whoever is looking at the feature set on the device. I understand it’s not something for everyone but I think it’s been pretty fun and something that sets itself apart from the others. If playing call of duty competitively and seriously is something you care about then obviously it wouldn’t make sense. To each their own. Currently my favorite thing to do is propping it on its kickstand and using my Dualsense edge for COD.
@@Misaac You can check google for Ally and Legion Go Bans of MW3 bro Activision keeps shadow banning people. I have a 3 years old account with lots of store content, spent at least 2k usd on it. Never used cheat or exploits, my stats are below avarage and just a stupid kid can figure out that I never used cheat related things, anyways, I just appealed for ban lifting and its revoked. I asked devs to review my account and check my logs, they did not :) I always play mw3 on my desktop pc at home, I have static ip, I dont use anything that can trigger anticheat systems since I'm using genuine 3dsmax and autocad for architecture and have lots of projects on my pc. There is only one other place I installed my steam and mw3 is my brand new legion go, and I was not aware of that problem since I see my account banned on steam.. Thats all. Stupid People keeps blaming handheld gamers like they actually cheat. These morons are doing nothing but hindering our efforts to assert our rights and lift the unjust ban placed on our account. People just ask for review on their accounts to prove them clean.
FPS just feels wrong.. awkward as a stick and way terrible as a mouse... plus the mapping is all weird when you enable it as the game is looking for keyboard commands to do stuff..

What thumbstick grips are you using for the legion go, I've been looking all over for some that are compatible.

yes but on lower resolutions it can maintain a constant framerate and not having VRR isn’t that big of an issue.

How did you update the GPU driver? Says I can’t launch MW3 till I update my gpu driver
Hit ignore to skip past that. It doesn’t recognize the systems custom APU and thinks your drivers out of date.

Deadzone Controllers ruin any fps game till it's fixed
How is the input lag/game latency
For MNK it’s great. At this point in time controller input (mainly for the sticks) was pretty mid because of deadzone issues (deadzones couldn’t be lowered on the systems’ controller settings. But after a recent update they allow us to lower deadzones. That combined with all the other deadzone settings in game and on Steam, it is a great experience that allows you to play with better accuracy and match your reaction time a lot better. I notice that on the higher frame rates it feels like any delays are far more minimal thanks to the 144hz display. Overall it’s a great experience you can get accustomed to and I don’t find myself thinking about input delay while playing.
Awesome cheers. I'm looking at the legion,steam deck, g cloud, ally...mainly play fps, want something I can sit on the couch and play while with the mrs

@@StickyGeko not sure if you already made your mind up, but the Logitech g cloud was terrible for me. Also the steam deck just didn't cut it for the games I wanted to play. I will be soon trying the legion go out after a lot of research between this and the ally.
@jajackson-bo2tc not yet, I've wanted to pull the trigger... but as the msi claw is due soon I've held off, but between the ally and go is tough. I prefer the form factor of the ally, but the overheating sd issues and smaller battery put me off. The legion go I don't think I'd use the fps mode as I want it to game whilst in the living room with the Mrs while she watches TV. The weight of the go concerns me. I have been to a few currys to see if I can actually see the ally and go In person and feel the weight but they have no demo units
The aim assist on cod is good but i noticed on halo infinite it feels wonky like it feels like you have none
imo, this kinda competitive fps game works better with WSAD keyboard and mouse. Mouse camera/target movement will be much faster and accurate instead with a stick. For example if you have to turn around / turn back quickly. That kind of joystick mode like LeGo has must have works better for a flight game which is kinda rare for today

Now I understand why professional shooters play with keyboard and mouse. Playing with controller is a kick in the ass, completely unnatural.
Rog Ally or Legion Go
In my honeymoon phase with the legion go right now. Ask me again in a couple of weeks lol. Both are great though depending on what you’re looking for in a handheld device.
Ngl that looks gimmicky as hell.. All I play is COD and I wouldn't use that for any competitive gaming.. That shouldn't be a plus over the Ally if it's awkward 🤷♂️.. I would Bluetooth my Xbox elite controller which negates the gimmicky joysticks
How much you like the gimmick or care about it is up to you and whoever is looking at the feature set on the device. I understand it’s not something for everyone but I think it’s been pretty fun and something that sets itself apart from the others. If playing call of duty competitively and seriously is something you care about then obviously it wouldn’t make sense. To each their own. Currently my favorite thing to do is propping it on its kickstand and using my Dualsense edge for COD.

@@Misaac You can check google for Ally and Legion Go Bans of MW3 bro Activision keeps shadow banning people. I have a 3 years old account with lots of store content, spent at least 2k usd on it. Never used cheat or exploits, my stats are below avarage and just a stupid kid can figure out that I never used cheat related things, anyways, I just appealed for ban lifting and its revoked. I asked devs to review my account and check my logs, they did not :) I always play mw3 on my desktop pc at home, I have static ip, I dont use anything that can trigger anticheat systems since I'm using genuine 3dsmax and autocad for architecture and have lots of projects on my pc. There is only one other place I installed my steam and mw3 is my brand new legion go, and I was not aware of that problem since I see my account banned on steam.. Thats all. Stupid People keeps blaming handheld gamers like they actually cheat. These morons are doing nothing but hindering our efforts to assert our rights and lift the unjust ban placed on our account. People just ask for review on their accounts to prove them clean.

FPS just feels wrong.. awkward as a stick and way terrible as a mouse... plus the mapping is all weird when you enable it as the game is looking for keyboard commands to do stuff..
I mean it’s just an option. Sure it’s not for everyone. But whoever liked it will change it to their liking and adjust.
