Hey @directedinput, first of all, your **Gyro** skills are seriously impressive, and your COD gameplay is top-tier! It's always a pleasure watching your new videos, and we've definitely learned a lot from you. However, I’ve noticed that when someone asks about your **Gyro** settings, you usually just say 'use Handheld Companion' and mention that you don’t have enough time to make a tutorial. But in a previous comment, you mentioned that you use multiple programs, but didn’t specify which ones. It’s a bit confusing, especially since you’re able to post gameplay videos regularly. It would be amazing if you could share more details with your followers. We trust your skills and would love to learn more from you!
Thanks! For the tutorial video, those videos take a lot of time to edit and script compared to just raw gameplay. I do plan on making one eventually when I get the time to do so, but for now I post my complete control layouts in the description of every video so people can match those if they want. I'm also unsure about making content encouraging people to use Handheld Companion just because of the issues I've seen online with it and don't want to end up having someone brick their Legion Go using it based on a video I make.
@directedinput thanks for the response! Appreciate the explanation. I did try using Handheld Companion, but I couldn't get the settings to work, especially for the Gyro. Could you let me know if there's a specific way to activate it, and does it works properly with FPS mode? Also, where exactly can I find the settings to enable Gyro? Any guidance would be super helpful!
In HC go to the controller tab, then near the bottom you can edit your layout and there are different tabs for buttons, gyro, trackpad etc. You can do everything there
@@directedinput Which controllers will you say are the best in this split style, that doesn't require you to buy a handheld gaming device (which they would sell those go controllers seperately)?
How do you make the gyro movement stable in the right or left direction and not like a circular or axial movement because I tried with all the settings and did not find the appropriate adjustment
Damn, I’m struggling to hold the legion go up while playing on it while this dude is slaying online using the freaking gyroscope🤯 mad respect, gonna try your setup soon
can you make a quick video how to make the gameplay smooth with the joycons. Just the settings. Im using steam input.. do i need to mess with the settings in steam or in just bo6 or both?.. id prefer a quick video just showing the settings if you could..
@@directedinput bro if it’s ok to ask how do you play with the legion go gyro as it doesn’t work there is not real setting on the legion go for gyro. How do you do it bro
unrelated question: do you play every game with this setup or just shooters? like, if the game has no shooting or combat per se. would play the witcher 3 with gyro lol?
I used to back when the Razer Hydra was basically the only option for split controls, but nowadays I'd just use joycon using an xbox pad config and play it like a normal controller game just with split controllers for comfort. If the game doesn't benefit from mouse aim then I'll just use a controller so like most rpgs or character action games.
@@KWAYIB Hey I don't really have time to do a full tutorial right now but I can say that if you use the software Handheld Companion it allows you to map every button and the gyro, but just read up about it first because it did have some issues bricking Legion Gos in the past.
Hi @directedinput I just subscribed to your channel. Quick question. I noticed that you've configured your legion space controllers, but did you also map out the Handheld companion as well? Did you map the individual buttons on HC or just the gyro? Also having trouble with COD as it detects as mouse input / gamepad and it asks to switch to mouse and keyboard but its not recognizing. Tutorial would be great if you have some time. Appreciate the efforts!
Yeah, best to do full mappings in HC and disable legion space. Make sure you fully read up on HC and legion space because you might get stuck if you do something wrong with that. If you are seeing gamepad prompts then something is still emulating a 360 pad (probably legion space) so you need to disable that
@directedinput how do you make the gyro movement stable in the right or left direction and not like a circular or axial movement I tried with all the settings and did not find the appropriate adjustment. Thanks
Try doing calibration with the controllers on a completely flat and level surface. Attach them to the Go if you have no other option since that will at least lie flat then do calibration
I have experienced it but it seems kind of intermittent, I can't reproduce it. I didn't really figure anything out about it yet but I plan to do more testing. Gyros are just weird lol.

gyroscope is pretty easy and fun although it looks complicated
Great showcase of the gyro controls.
I own a Legion Go too, but never tried the gyro.
Cool!

You use handheld companion for gyro?
Yes, but Bazzite is also a great solution
No bo6 in bazzite 😔

Just wondering how you got around the issue with gyro being 'dampened' on quick movements? Did you ever even experienced this?
I have experienced it but it seems kind of intermittent, I can't reproduce it. I didn't really figure anything out about it yet but I plan to do more testing. Gyros are just weird lol.
Are you changing the vertical sensitivity, acceleration, or deadzone?
Nope, I generally keep a 1:1 xy sens and don't use accel or deadzones (I've found most gyros have inherent accel though)
graphics settings and FPS? looks awesome
I can't play the beta anymore but I just used what it gave me and had 100+ fps
this question makes me sound like a kid, but what PC specs do you have?
Is a legión go a handheld by Lenovo
It has amd z1 extreme
Rws?
Can't play anymore to check but should be around 1.5 or 2RWS
