Love this song. A lesson for all. James has such a beautiful voice. ❤
On RUclips somewhere, there's a lovely tribute to James from The Dixy Chicks singing this song at a James Taylor appreciation evening, with him and his family sitting in the audience, and it's just wonderful. He's so loved by so many within his own industry and that says just about everything about him and his contribution to folk/country music over the past 50+ years. God bless him.

Whew brings tears of joy to my eyes. It really touches my heart in doing the right thing, loving my husband, my children, my friends, and people.
You know James is doubly respected by the music industry. He always has A list musicians comprising his live sets. This band is yet further proof!
Andrea Zonn worked with Vince Gill for awhile, as part of his band . . . she's amazing !! I love it that JT is just so respected by his peers - that people as equally accomplished in their own right - choose to work with him (think folks like Leland Sklar - legendary bassist - who worked with JT for at least 30 yrs). This is one of my favourites of his songs . . . I really loved the version he did with The Dixie Chicks on Crossroads . . .
We are fortunate to have another video of the master , James Taylor, and his stellar cast of backup singers and players, even if on this occasion, Koch, Le and Russ Kunkel may be absent.
I was at this show , It was great. Nashville is wonderful.
I just love him.
Happy Valentine’s Day, with love
"James Taylor, Jim Gilstrap"💗👏
I'm not sure James will want to read about ''a legacy he will someday leave...'' but I know you mean it as a fan.I bought his early albums in 1970 or so and we used to listen to them late into the night. This IS my favourite song.I love the idea of being able to 'shower'love on people. Maybe I'm just TOO sentimental? Thank God I am!!
No you're not , The world could use a little more sentimental . Don't ever change
