I had a copy of Greatest Hits I stole from my father when I was ~10 years old. Got me through the worst times in my childhood, and I tear up to this day. Him and I still bond over this fantastic album every once in a great while.

I'm 70 now, and I've been a huge JT fan for about 50 years....a superb songwriter and singer.
{And YES, that was Will Lee on bass, from the "World's Most Dangerous Band!"}.

I danced with my son to this song at his wedding. The lyrics say it all. One of my favorite JT songs.
JAMES TAYLOR leads on "Shower The People" with this group on The Late Show in 2019. He comes back to the Late Show in 2022 with the same song. This time another group supports the music. And what do you know... the same heartfelt magic. This song is sooo needed in these crazy times... as it was many years ago when he first sang it.

That luscious JT guitar style has only gotten sweeter with age. Beautiful. It might be a world-class Olsen guitar he's playing, but I bet not many make it sound THAT good. A true master of his craft.

Do you ever just want to say thank you. This is the music of my youth. Back when James and Carly lived on the island. Good people both.
I got to see JT in OKC 20+,yrs ago,I had breast biopsy, doctors told me to go home and rest, No way I got JT tickets, tucked an ice bag under my arm and saw JT with my son.

no arnold. no kate. i don't see andrea either. the only "singer" i recognize is lou marini, as you point out. would love to know who the others are. nice to see clifford carter back in the band!
I'm pretty sure that was Bernie Williams. He didn't have many from people form the band he normally tours with on the Colbert show last nite. I guess that he just got together some NYC musicians. But, Arnold Andrea & Kate will be on tour with him this spring.
I only recognized Kim his wife as the background singers.
